This time I went to "Kaikake Onsen" in Yuzawa, Niigata Prefecture.
The price is 22,000 yen per person
The route from Tokyo: Tokyo Station - Echigo Yuzawa Station - Kaigake Onsen.
The price is 6,790 yen for the Shinkansen and 460 yen for the bus.

貝掛温泉懐かしいなぁ、母方の叔母が一時期経営をしており、40年ほど前の大学生時にここでバイトをしておりました。
鄙びた湯治場でほとんどの客が都内のお金持ちのご老人方達で夏場に2，3か月間の湯治に来られておりました。
温泉といっても水温が極端にぬるく体温と同じかやや暖かい程度、1時間ほど浸かっていないと風邪をひきます。
安部さんという戦争時に足にダムダム弾をうけた跡（本人談）のある従業員の人と日中時間のあるときに北側（たぶん）の山に入り木クラゲを取ったり
水晶取りをした思い出があります。
思い出の温泉なんですね^ ^
たしかに、この時は初夏だったのでちょうど良かったですが寒い時期はゆっくり入ったほうがいいと思いました！
キクラゲに水晶取り、羨ましいです😊

Hi! Thanks for the beautiful video, it made me convinced to visit this coming December.
However, I tried reserving Kaikake Onsen room from their website / Jalan, but entire December is unavailable.
Do you know if this is because its fully booked? Or they only release vacancies 3 months in advance?
I called the inn, and they said December reservations start in September!

Yes, the hot spring is open to the public with check-in time from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, and check-out is at 3:00 pm. The fee is 1000 yen on weekdays and 1200 yen on weekends.

I don't drink alcohol . Are there non alcoholic drinks? Were there private onsens? All that way for just one night? I would love to stay there. Greetings from Canada.
Of course! There are also non-alcoholic beverages such as non-alcoholic beer, cola, and tea. And there are no private baths at this hot spring.
バスの配車間隔はどうなりますか？ バスはよく来ますか？
そして送迎バスは別に電話をしなければなりませんか？😂
バスは午前5時の始発から午後6時まで、2時間に1本おきにバスが来ます!
送迎バスは連絡する必要がありますが、歩いて9分くらいで行くこともできます😀
