Took my driving test today, dont stres guys. Stay calm and do what you have been doing in your practice runs. Try and scout out the area you are going to be tested on, and just take it slow. Follow instuctions and make your intentions obvious with the instructor, one thing i forgot to do a couple times was make a ocmplete stop which i caught myself doing once, and verbally corrected myself. I only make three mistakes, so dont brake too late and also dont forget to signal for three seconds before merging into a lane, those were the mistakes I made on my test but again, just drive cautiously and you got this in the bag. Be confident but safe, you guys got this!!

Hi!! When backing up, do you turn to look at the back or just the mirror?
@@jasminrivas5138 In the area I am from, it’s mandatory to turn your head to look at the back when doing the backing up portion. I believe they only deduct points if you fail to turn your head but they will fail you if you hit the curb, so just avoid doing that lol.

I wish you all good luck on your driving test, remember be calm during the driving test always scan your mirror and blind spot. Always have your hand on the wheel. Always signal when changing lane or turning right or left. Pay intention to the road sign, especially the speed limit. Always make a complete stop at stop sign. And check your left and right shoulder everytime you come to stop sign. Show the instructor that your a safe driver by scanning the mirrors constantly. Also practice parrel parking. Good luck

Took my first behind the wheel driving test yesterday and passed! These videos helped prepare me for what to expect. Biggest piece off advice....stay calm and don't freak out. I was super nervous I would get an examiner who seemed mean/grumpy but gladly I didn't. Remember that your examiner doesn't want you to fail, and they don't want to make you nervous. Just be polite and friendly and it will make the whole situation much better. Also it is super helpful to practice in the area where you will be taking your test. I did this and practiced certain skills in areas that I thought were likley to be chosen, and the places I practiced were exactly where the examiner had me go. Good luck to anyone else taking their test!
I took my test (in California) on Friday, first try and passed with 2 errors (traffic checks for both). Easiest actual test but I did get a good examiner.
This channel was so useful and though it did not quell my excessive anxiety before the test I do feel that it significantly contributed to my comfort during the test. This channel provides such a great service.
If anyone reads this before their test, it definitely helps to drive as if you’re taking the test for any drive you do in the week or so before your test. Act like you’re being examined no matter how long or short the drive.

@@SamanthaD89 you got this! I passed my drivers test no problems. I live in upstate NY and parallel park and 3 point turn are both required. I was also not confident with my parallel park. The technique I used while practicing was lining my cars back bumper to the other car (NOT mirror to mirror!) so the little triangle window in my back passenger side as soon as I seen the other cars tail light in that window I stopped, after that I turned my steering wheel 1 full turn to the right and reverse until I see the other cars license plate in the middle of my passenger window, then stop and turn steering wheel ALL the way to the left and reverse. You will get it perfectly every single time 🙂 (there’s a couple videos with this technique if you want me to tell you the name of the video) omg it was a life saver. When I’m saying perfect every time, I mean it. And only 3 easy steps… line up bumper to bumper, steering wheel 1 full turn to the right (until license plate is in middle of window), then steering wheel all the way to the left! Hope this helps :) keep us updated!
This was pretty comprehensive. I'll be taking my road test in Washington (the hard state to pass in) so I've been bingeing these lately to get a feel for examiner styles and attitudes.

I took my test October 27 at Coney Island, Brooklyn, NY. Literally I just gone around the block, only did 4 full stops, parallel parking, backing and 3 point turn, I was very VERY nervous,I PASSED with 15 points
I couldn’t record the test but maybe I’ll do a recreation of my test and send it, I passed in less than 5 minutes 🤯
In NY you gotta wait after 6 PM to know the results of your test, weird…

Omg really!? I have my test in upstate NY in 2 days. I did read online you can check results that day after 6pm but I figure the instructor would still tell you pass/fail. Wow! That makes me even more nervous now

My test was on a Friday at 3pm scheduled appointment in northern VA. ❤️ Practicing in the parking lot or around the DMV helps! Right before the test. I practiced parking multiple times that day and the examiner said I parked perfectly
About exam route: there seem to be one way the examiner telling the route: "Turn left", "turn right". In the Netherlands there are three ways the examiner tells the route in three ways:
- like in the US: "Turn left", "turn right";
- using a navigator, either built in in the car, or by means of for example Google Maps. The driving instructor or examiner says: "Now follow the instructions from the navigator, until I tell otherwise";
- follwing the route to a specific location, by looking at the signpost. The driving instructor or examiner says: "Now head for by looking at the signposts, until I tell otherwise".
When I drive alone, I know the route by heart, for example, I drive to work, or I drive from work to home, or I go to my father who lives elsewhere. I often make long car trips to unknown location. I use Google Maps, but the traffic situation or safety may make me ignore the navigation and pick it up later on.
new update: I passed on my second try! my examiner this time was clear with her instructions & really relaxed (compared to my first examiner). At first I was a bit nervous as I began, but once you start driving, the nervousness goes away really quick. The path I took was nearly empty, but it definitely does feel easier with a calm and relaxed examiner

Took my driving test yesterday and passed on my first go! Thank you so much for all the helpful tips, really prepared me and made me calmer during the road test. I got to the area where the test was taking place a couple hours early and really got comfortable driving around before taking the test, it helped me a ton with calming my nerves. Y’all got this, just take a deep breath and do what you’ve been practicing and you’ll be just fine!

I passed the road test today after second attempt. Though I lost some points because I couldn't do parallel parking correctly (which I anticipated), I'm glad I was able to perform decent. Parallel parking has always been a hit or a miss when I was practicing. During my test I had to do it behind a truck and I never practiced behind a truck so I had a slight panic. But the examiner was nice and made me at ease.

I notice alot of these videos have great happy instructors / examiners, but I take my tests in northern Virginia around Loudon and Fairfax county......and every single examiner I've had has been hard as a rock, just lifeless and not acting like they want to pass me at all. Anyone else taken the road test in northern VA and absolutely getting torn apart by the DMV failing? 😂 Still not giving up ❤️❤️❤️

I got my license yesterday but the license card that they gave says temporary driver license and it will expire just in two months any explanation for that please?? I live in ND
And it doesn't have any restrictions.
Temp license just means that you recently got your license. Any driving faults will result in double the points you would usually get with a regular license.
I have my test in about 3 hours, I'm pretty confident! I'll let you guys know how I do. :)

If I am at these coordinates on gmaps 38.555435837035844, -121.75864755924567, and I want to take a left at the upcomming intersection. When should I enter the left lane:
- I should wait for the end of the yellow lane, and then move to the designated left lane or
- I should enter the yellow lane 200 feet before the intersection, and then keep in the designated left lane?
I am confused because it looks like the yellow lane ends and it is not connected to the left turn at the intersection, but in lots of videos I saw that it is a problem if you change lanes too close to the intersection.
You would have to turn right onto the road the turn left at the intersection on Rutgers Drive then turn left reed Dr then turn left villanova Dr then turn right on Anderson Road to go that way. That crazy but I guess I answered your question
It's also turns into 1 lane on your side going right and then go into a 2 lane on the left side. The yellow lane has no dots so you can't pass it
6:40 - 7:01 What are the traffic rules here? In the Netherlands a right turn is smaller than a left turn, the imaginary cirkle has a lower radius. In that case, the car with the right turn has priority. How is that in the US? Apparently the other way around?
