Iconic set, love it. 7th grade for me and recall this '81 Traded box, the Topps K-Mart Stars box, and the Kellogg 3-D set amoung my faves of that year.
Thx as always for showcasing!
Thanks for sharing!
Another beautiful issue. You share the coolest cards that were ever printed imo. 1980 - 1986. Yeah I'm biased. Thanks for another video full of knowledge and beautiful cards. I love your channel friend.
Thanks for watching!
So many cards in that set i have never seen. I have the Raines, Staub , Fisk, Blyleven, & Winfield that is all....
I need to add the Fred Lynn , Fernando , Ted Simmons, Sutter, Fingers , Perry, Morgan, Sutton , Bobby Bonds , KONG, Carney Lansford and Gary Matthews someday.
1981 was 1st year i collected so love this set
I really like watching your videos your not loud your don't go thru the cards and you don't ever buy so much it is in the thousands of dollars category
Been a while since I have seen this Thanks for sharing!!!
No problem 👍
Very informative. I always wondered about the whole traded set card issue/rated rookie vs 1st stand alone in a regular set issue debate. Kinda like the whole USFL vs 1st appearance in an NFL set debate (I consider the USFL the 1st).
That was just weird seeing Gene Tenace in a Cardinals uni
I could see Topps being intimidated by Beckett,he was pretty much setting the card prices. It almost sounds like a case of blackmail or you scratch my back and ill scratch yours. There was a lot of money on the line! It wouldnt suprize me.
One man should not have set the standard. Topps should have decided who was a rookie and who was not when it came to their own cards.
