    Holy crap at Morton's backdoor curve. That's gotta be in the pitch of the year running. That list is starting to get rather lengthy, I will admit.

    Whats the difference between a splitter and forkball

    • @PitchingNinjaVideos
      @PitchingNinjaVideos  2 года назад +1

      Velocity. A splitter is usually faster than a forkball...and the fingers are usually less spread apart in a splitter than a forkball.

    Pitch tracker was reading Dustin mays 3400rpm sliders as curveballs , any explanation ninja

    Charlie is a dude. He’s not having the greatest statistical year, but his strikeout rate lately is beautiful.

    Non-pitcher here. I've been wondering this for awhile: Why is Charlie Morton's "curveball" a curveball when it seems to look like a slider?

    • @lucasnogueira1137
      @lucasnogueira1137 2 года назад +9

      because of the grip and how much it drops. The horizontal movement comes from his arm angle and the direction of the spin he puts on the ball and being one of the best at spinning his curveball helps that

    Ninja, I feel like I’ve seen just so many strikeouts this season but no pitcher is even close to 300, if you had to choose to bet on one man to get 300 next season who would it be?

      Yeah, but he’s a great pitcher. Most pitchers have his kind of attitude. Manoah just happens to have the opposite attitude. He’s a bull dawg and Cole is more of a cat.

    i could have sworn we figured it last year that 3700 rpm wasn't possible without "assistance"... I'm not opposed to sticky stuff personally , I'm no bauer fanboy , but he was right about the lack of consistency regarding pitchers use of spider-tac etc....
