    im procrastinating in finishing my college essay and submitting my application out of nerves… i visited last year on college tour and it was beautiful, amazing, and above all terrifying!! I worry i won’t be able to make in such an environment- I feel like i’m not worthy or prepared enough for it😮‍💨 i’d like to study in animation or art direction.

      What?! I am routing for you! I understand how intimidating SCAD is with its rigorous workflow and dedication. However, as someone who is already here, it IS doable. If this is the place you want to end up, all you can do is put the time in to make it happen. I hope that you crush that essay and that I see you around next fall animating up a storm. Best of luck! 🫶

      Yes this makes sense haha. It is definitely more commercial and thankfully so. It has a spin room, yoga studio, and even a pilates room. They also have another gym not too far from the hive that has the same basic equipment but more weights. Hope this helps!

    Just applied and I’m hoping to start out in the winter quarter. Little worried about being a 22 year old freshman. When I first went to college in 2019 Covid hit and I stopped my schooling back in San Francisco. Just going back to a new college and I’m a bit worried about meeting people my age in freshmen classes

    • @knm_nikki
      @knm_nikki Год назад

      I transferred to scad last winter quarter, after a 2 year break. I’m 26 (was 25 my first quarter) and I did have a little bit of a hard time adjusting. For foundation classes most of the students will be a standard 18/19 year old but honestly I’ve made friends that were freshman and they are great! It’s gonna feel a little strange but you’ll get used to it for sure and you can definitely meet new people at events or clubs if you introduce yourself. Most scad students are friendly and love meeting new people. I do have a video on my channel about adjusting to college if you want to go watch. I might make more videos about the subject in the near future too. Let me know if you have any other questions at all :)

    Heyy Thank you so much for the video. I am an architect but looking forward to pursue MBI from SCAD. It at times scares me because coming from the fusion of creative and technical experience. I am unsure about how things will turn out to be. However, I would appreciate it if you could please let me know about the career prospects and the scholarship opportunities available at SCAD. Also, additionally, I wanted to know whether I can do a part time job for my expenses?

    • @isis_lisette
      @isis_lisette  10 месяцев назад

      Well thank you for the comment! The best way to get in touch with scholarships and career opportunities is to reach out to your advisor. They will help with everything! I know mine has been absolutely wonderful. I can't speak on what having a part time job is like here, but I know several people who do and are able to do it just fine. Good luck and I hope this helps!

    I just re-watched your video as we get closer to move in for my daughter (Dance-Hive). She's strictly vegan 😱 so this is worrisome. She's like a 5 star chef & cooks for herself. I think she's gonna be in for a difficult stretch. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Anyway, your tips are fantastic. We plan to utilize the early shipping process where they put student's packages in the dorm. Did you do this? We are flying in from Michigan so this should help a lot. 😊

    • @isis_lisette
      @isis_lisette  Год назад

      Ahh yes being plant based in the south can be tricky. Especially with the meal plan because you don’t want to waste it! I would keep good snacks in the room always for safety. For shipping, everything will go to the SCAD mail center which is conveniently located at the hive. I am from Portland, Oregon so I had no choice but to ship! I’d send stuff a week in advanced so it will be there for move in time.

    • @isis_lisette
      @isis_lisette  11 месяцев назад +1

      Homework honestly depends on the professor. Usually its either one of two things; frequent, challenging work or a few large projects spread out throughout the quarter. I am not a in illustration or animation so unfortunately I am not well versed on them. Regardless, best of luck to you! 💕
