The only thing I would add, is that don't always go on their experience about fall. Being from SC all my life, I can tell you that it can 100% get cold during the fall. It has been so cold labor day weekend that we needed coats. More than likely, you would not need too many cold weather items, but don't not bring any just because you are thinking that being in the south will always be warm.
SC also: bring a medium weight jacket that you can layer if needed with a sweater. More than likely it will not stay cold until late November/December. Thanksgiving in Charleston is consistently in the 70s.
turner def feels like the most inconvenient dorm, having three people, small space, no living area and parking is far away, especially now that Catham and River exist and are more similar to the hive
Girl this is so helpful omg. They put my roommate and I in here w a random bc we missed the suitemate deadline 😭 I’m so scared bc we can’t find her on insta and her roommate profile did not match ours at all but this makes me feel sm better ab turner house
I love the video it’s seriously so helpful!! But I also have some questions since I’m going to stay in turner 😁 how did your friend hang up the curtain above their bed? And do you stay in Turner for the second year too? Sorry I’m asking these questions a year after the video 🥲 thank you for the vid!
@@isabellap.8830 hi! im so glad this video was helpful :) i don’t exactly remember how she hung it up but i think she used command strips and an adjustable curtain rod however i do remember it falling down at one point so im not sure how sturdy it is😬 turner is a freshman only dorm so you only stay in it for one year. hope this helps! if you have more questions lmk!!
Hi!! Sorry to bother but by any chance do you temper if the shower head in Turner is removable or what type it was? I know this was a long time ago but I got assigned to Turner and I’m interested in a filtered shower head for our dorm. Thanks so much 🫶
I personally did not have a car my first year and currently in my second year I do not have one. I think SCAD makes it very easy to get around town with their bus system and I think investing in a bike is a good option. It’s always nice to have a car but downtown parking can be a nightmare and you can’t leave your car at the dorms during winter break
Yes this is Savannah! I don’t know the dorm layout specifically for Atlanta but you can use this link to explore the dorms there: www.scad.edu/life/residence-life/residence-halls

I've been looking for a video like this of SCAD for AGES! You're so pretty and so is everyone else in the video :D

@@danielle1813 hi! i’m not sure if the shower head was removable. i would just wait until move in to see what the shower head situation is.
What were the size of the curtains?
Hi! I asked my friend and she said she doesn’t remember exactly but if she had to guess def 7/8ft
Do you recommend bringing your car the first year? Did you really use your car or will a bike work better?

How much does a room cost for 3 people per month?
You could calculate per month but for the annual year it’s $9,603
