I’m 2 weeks sober but it feels like it’s been 2 months, from my alcoholism I have chronic pancreatitis, fatty liver disease, alcoholic hepatitis, gastritis, ulcers, neuropathy, brain damage, and some other things. Even walking properly is difficult. I remind myself every day I can’t afford a relapse again
I've been there. It gets easier over time. Be strong!💪💃. I also eat well, and visit the gym. I have more money, and am told I look much younger than I am. I've probably added 30 years to my life.
You may need professional help because you are a physical alcoholic....you can white knuckle for a while but you will relapse...guaranteed...so seek out help ...
This is such an eye opener and at almost 41, and having decided to knock it on the head 3 weeks ago, I'm wondering how the hell I am not dead or severely ill!. I started at 13 years old and alcohol became a big part of my life. To the point I've started craving in the past year and skipped meals so I can buy beer instead. My memory is absolutely shot though. I'm hoping it comes back. I struggle to remember names of colleagues I've worked with for over 6 years. Alcohol has to be the hardest thing to quit as here in the UK it is such a massive part of every day life. I went to all the raves back in the 90s and took pretty much all the party drugs you can name.. but once I stopped raving,I didn't touch a single one. My relationship with alcohol is tricky.. it's gotten me through tough times, gets me through social situations and is there when I go on dates and meet in a pub. But on tye flip side,it's caused me to embarrass myself more times than I care to remember, almost got me killed twice through my own stupidity, cost me hundreds of thousands of pounds no doubt and caused me to feel I can't live without it. I've noticed I'm sleeping better now,I feel like I'm alive again and I wake up happy and don't feel like rubbish and head for the fridge to grab a beer as soon as I wake up. God knows how I've managed to work full time since the age of 15. Good luck to anyone who reads this and is trying to quit drinking.

It's weird, I'm on day 30 and I haven't experienced that many benefits. Social interactions are much more awkward, weekends are more boring, and in general I just feel relatively similar to when I drank. The only difference between a slight increase of clarity and deeper sleep
I disagree, personally I have gone on streaks up to 60 days without it and although you have better sleep patterns other than that there isn't much of any difference without alcohol. @@nicebars Hi, congratulations on your Month sober. Long may it continue. Interesting question. What I consider heavy drinking may not be what you consider heavy drinking. My dad drank 7 days a week drinking about 10 cans of special brew or similar drinks with an abv 9% or stronger. He drank like this until he was about 49 when his heart became enlarged due to his drinking. He got diabetes due to his drinking also kidney damage all because of drinking to much. He still continued to drink after this age however he was finished to be honest. Physically the booze had destroyed him. Anyway good luck on your journey.

When I was 2,5 y.o., I lost my paternal granddad due to alcohol-related reasons. In 2012 my paternal grandma died because of alcohol. In 2019 my dad died at the age of 48. In his case alcohol was not a primary reason, but definitely contributed into his premature death. And now I am losing my mom as she is an alcoholic. I had to move out of our flat because of her and I've been living at my friend's house for 7 months now. This is how alcohol had been affecting my life before I tasted it, and how it is affecting my life even now when I haven't had a single drop of alcoholic beverages for more than 12 years. One thing I'd like to know which I haven't found, it's been proven alcohol is not good. It has also been proven sugar is not good and will cause liver damage after years of consumption. Would be good to know which is worse because I feel like most people consume both so it's a double whammy for the liver which accelerates the bad for both. Would alcohol be maybe not quite as bad if no sugar was consumed? Would Sugar be not quite as bad if no alcohol were consumed? Both are terrible for you, but just curious on this point. I've been sober free for 2+ weeks and sugar free for 2+ weeks as well. Still figuring out the diet and weight and stuff that is sustainable.
In my opinion, sugar is worse than alcohol. Especially if you consume alcohol in moderation. I haven't touched any processed sugar for 2 years now. The only sugar I eat is in fruits and whatever is processed during the body after breaking down alcohol. I noticed huge changes in my mood, skin, energy-levels, and happiness around 1-2 months after having no sugar in my diet. Meanwhile, I have been 30 days clear from alcohol and life hasn't exactly changed for the better. Very few noticeable benefits. If anything I definitely prefer to drink on the weekends in comparison to not drinking on them.
Living a reckless alcoholic life not only destroys your life but the life of those around you that love you the most. My brother just died at such a young age, so fast , so soon and now his wife, kids, my mom and dad have to deal with the aftermath. All because he didn't/couldn't change. It breaks my heart. By changing the path of your life it could also change the path of your future generation. You are loved ❤ watching this video helped me better understand what happen to his body. I took him to the emergency on Wednesday and he died five days later.
That's why I say drink responsibly; drink in moderation. Try not to abuse it. I recently feel some pain in my lower back/spine. I'm hoping it has nothing to do with alcohol. But you never know.
I started drinking at 15 I would steal beer out of my dad's ice chest I quit for 6 months one time hate I relapsed started back thinking I could just have a few here and there boy I tricked my self got too the point I was drinking 2 boxes of wine on the weekends and would drink till I blacked out wake up and not know what the hell I did are said from what everyone says I was very mean and crazy I'm 4 weeks clean woke up wife said it's me and our two babies or the alcohol I have had enough so here I am praise God I feel so much better I probably would have lost my job too if I would have not stopped trust me if I can do it anyone can now looking at what I was I was crazy killing myself for what just to feel like crap the next day wow
25 days sober, once you realize ethanol is what cleans shit out of cars windshield, imagine what happens if you drink it? Beer is 5% ethanol and some bread tasting water, already makes me want to vomit when Walking In store and see beers, ciders what ever. Very poisonous and stupid drug...
Alcohol doesn't cause weight gain, though other carbs and sugars in drinks certainly do. Research shows this. Personally, I chart my weight, and with zero change in my diet, when I stopped drinking 6-8 vodka sodas a night, there wasn't even a blip in the graph of my weight data.
I’m in a halfway house and I’m being fed this shit for services the weak can’t handle alcohol most people drink heavily for years like me… I’ve been drinking since I was 11 and now I’m 37 and I’m as healthy as can be like others like me who drink heavily.
These are all negative effects, apart from fertility. Too many people in the world. I wish all the young mums had fertility problems before squeezing out their army of chavlings

Cooler
Don t u feel better??????
Living a reckless alcoholic life not only destroys your life but the life of those around you that love you the most. My brother just died at such a young age, so fast , so soon and now his wife, kids, my mom and dad have to deal with the aftermath. All because he didn't/couldn't change. It breaks my heart. By changing the path of your life it could also change the path of your future generation. You are loved ❤ watching this video helped me better understand what happen to his body. I took him to the emergency on Wednesday and he died five days later.
Has Anyone else had 3 seizures in last 3 months and lost their job 😢 can anyone help me
You have to go to the Doctor asap.
That's why I say drink responsibly; drink in moderation. Try not to abuse it. I recently feel some pain in my lower back/spine. I'm hoping it has nothing to do with alcohol. But you never know.
No. Don’t drink at all. No amount of alcohol is safe. ‘Drinking responsibly’ is just being too weak minded to just quit entirely.
Large nose, lmfao, so glad you mentioned that. I have seen alcohol distort the face!!
Affects
Today is day 16 🤞🏽
I drink only on Saturday nights. When I’m at the club I till black out. It usually causes me alcohol gastritis it hurts so much
Fun??
Pls dont do that to yeself anymore. Pls stop yr body is giving you serious warning signs 🙏🏻
I don’t get how people drink til they blackout, sounds like a low iq problem
I reckon the liver damage of drinkers is the thing that makes middle age spread
But I really like the taste of my occasional craft beer or when I home brew mead...
I'm not sure if alcohol decreases life expectancy. My grandfather was drinking a whisky/day and died at 92
you aren’t very smart
25 days sober, once you realize ethanol is what cleans shit out of cars windshield, imagine what happens if you drink it? Beer is 5% ethanol and some bread tasting water, already makes me want to vomit when Walking In store and see beers, ciders what ever. Very poisonous and stupid drug...
Congratulations
hello Sober Leon
Alcohol doesn't cause weight gain, though other carbs and sugars in drinks certainly do. Research shows this. Personally, I chart my weight, and with zero change in my diet, when I stopped drinking 6-8 vodka sodas a night, there wasn't even a blip in the graph of my weight data.
When i was young i could eat and drink as much as I wanted without putting on weight. Now I'm 64 it's a much different story.
12:06 incontenence?
Isn't 1 beer/week good for health?
but if i want to get all of those
Nature never wanted us high and drunk all the time, or we would already feel thay way
It causes irreversible tendency towards spelling mistakes, it can really ... affect you
But all foreigners drink, smoke everyday but why they leave 90+age also,in that age also they smoke, drink early morning I see Many peoples

LONG TERM USE OF ALCOHOL COULD CAUSE ARTHRITIS! MAY I ADD AND IT'S NOT A JOKE! PAIN PAIN AND MORE PAIN!
I LOVE BEER.
👍👍👍
The editing is going to make me have a seizure.
I’m in a halfway house and I’m being fed this shit for services the weak can’t handle alcohol most people drink heavily for years like me… I’ve been drinking since I was 11 and now I’m 37 and I’m as healthy as can be like others like me who drink heavily.
This guy sounds funny af 🤣
Thanks you for the laugh 🥃
Why would u mock his accent though??..... how old are you?
I would too ..I am older than him 😂
Your voice is hilarious
These are all negative effects, apart from fertility. Too many people in the world. I wish all the young mums had fertility problems before squeezing out their army of chavlings
Effects!? Not so sober grammar, eh.
Both are correct actually
Ghostifsoup I thank you for sharing and I hope I can stop before complications, I'm very worried but can't stop
🚨AWESOME STUFF 5 days Sober❤️🩹
