Thank you for this substative and critical review. I was considering buying the sc4 model, but after watching this video I decided to buy the sc3 model. Thanks to you, I will save some money 😊
Two questions: 1. Do you find any critical differences between the SC models reviewed here and the new 'deluxe' models? 2. Regarding carpets, are there any additional accessories that can help with this? Thank you!
Hey! We didnt review the deluxe models ourselves yet but as far as we know they´re the same base appliances but with different scopes of deliveries. The Karcher SC models do have a carpet glider which you could get extra. Its also sometimes included in the deluxe bundles.
Antother question: Kärcher has branded both their "Easyfix" and "Deluxe" models as SC 2, 3, 4, (5). Which serie (Deluxe or Easyfix) is this video about? Tbh, I find it very difficult to find any differences that motivete the different names or prices save from the SC 2 and SC 5 that differ quite a lot from the others. I went to their website to compare, but even then it's not very clear. It gets even more confusing when these same models appear at retailers with the added labels of "premium" and whatnot. Very confusing! I don't understand why they make it so hard for us. I would have bought one last week if it wasn't for all the questions.
I know what you mean. We got asked that a lot as well and it was really difficult for us to find out more. These here in this video are the BASIC Karcher SC Easyfix models.(Yellow color) There are also Karcher SC Easyfix Deluxe/Premiums Models(usually white) I think the Yellow models dont even exist in some areas(for example US) As far as I know: The basic appliance is the same either way! The difference lies mainly in the scope of delivery. Hope that helps!
@@danielshallberg9266 yeah sorry for that. we use onelink from amazon. It sometimes doesnt work correctly and leads you to different countries. Our country of origin is germany. we do have 220v here. But Kärcher does have different versions with different voltages(depending on the country) There are US models which come with 110v.
Does the heating time only occur at the beginning, or do we need to wait periodically during use? I'm asking because I have a Polti, and after 2-3 minutes of use, I need to wait around 30 seconds before it can steam again.
I really want to get the sc3 but I am worried it may have low pressure steam becuase it doesn't have a sealed refill orifice. Was the pressure noticeably different?
The SC5 does have a bit more pressure but it wasn´t that evident while cleaning the sink for example. I think the difference is below 1 bar. They are not comparable to a real pressure cleaner. I Think that in regards to the price performance ratio, the sc3 is better. only go for the sc5 when you are not ready to make any compromises in regards to the performance.
@@wunschgetreu-reviewsmadein195 Thanks for a quick reply. By pressure cleaner do you mean those water ones with over 2000psi and 5.5 liters per minute used for driveway cleaning and such?
Which one would you recommend for cleaning sofas/carpets/beds? I am afraid, it might be too wet and soaked and may get these brownish water circles after steaming.
We havnt testet any of these for carpet refreshing or similar. The versions we had didnt include any attachements for that. So i cant say for sure. But it would propably be the SC3. Best price performance ratio in my opinion. (You need to get the version with a carpet glider though)
A bit disappointed as an owner of sc3 for 2 days now. Even on highest pressure the nozzle is steaming and leaking i the same time. This is my first steam cleaner machine so i haven't previous experience to compare with but i don't think this is normal because i was expected to have only steam.
Hmm, that doesn´t sound right. I would be dissapointed too.. We had maybe a few drops at most after prolonged use but not constant leaking at the nozzle. Have you tried to get the support involved?
@@wunschgetreu-reviewsmadein195 the shape of the deluxe modal is very different from the standard modal you review in the video or what do you mean by scope of delivery? i assume you mean the gadgets/accessories delivered with the main machine

Glad to hear it! Also, good choice :)
I have the SC3 and it does perfectly the job
How long the cartridge lasts
Question: does any of the models come with an accessory to clean textiles, like beds, sofas, rugs or curtains?
Not with the standard package, no. But the deluxe variants may have some attachements for that. I know that they at least have carpet gliders.
can we refill water and keep cleaning or we have to wait till it’s cool then re fill water ? which model need no time to wait ?
Great video.
Thanks! :)
i think sc3 is enough for my flat. thanks.
You are welcome! The SC3 has the best price performance ratio in our opinion as well.
@@wunschgetreu-reviewsmadein195I’ve just ordered one and waiting for delivery.

Hi, all of these have 220v!
@@wunschgetreu-reviewsmadein195 it says the sc3 is 120? So I think they made another version that’s capable of 120v

Once the SC appliances are heated up you can work with them until the tanks empty!
