    I think a steam cleaner review should include some examples how they actually clean. All the info you said is readily aivalbe when coparing the products on the manufacturers website as well. That short clip of cleaning the tap didn't show much.

    You can’t go wrong with Karcher. Enjoyed your videos but wasn’t sure if I wanted to buy. As it happens an SC 2 500 fell into my lap FOC. It needed cleaning up and I’ve ordered some cloths for the tools but wow for a 7 yr old cleaner it’s probably the best ever second hand model. It takes 5 minutes to heat up and I have to pause occasionally to allow it to heat up again but the tank is removable and fillable whilst working and the steam is immense whatever bar it is😅. Keep on karcher

      @@ladyz9933 Yes! It's specifically what something like a steam cleaner is meant for. I recommend you have a stack of microfibre cloths on hand (or kitchen roll if you're a disposable type) to wipe up the grease as you go, though. You may also need to do a second ass if you can feel residual grease after your first run.

    A friend of mine bought the same SC5 model, and they used to clean Air conditioner filters. But they said when they used the machine for more than 1 minute, they needed to wait for a while becouse the machine neded to reload the boiler. It is like that?

    • @RichManPoorTech
      @RichManPoorTech  7 месяцев назад +1

      Under normal cleaning this machine works fine, however under constant use as you describe there may be a slight drop in steam pressure which if you were cleaning something like a bath or a floor for example you would not notice, if your using the water droplets again you can continue to use. However as with all steam cleaners that I have used, the initial pull of the trigger after rest has more steam flow, this might be what they are referring to

    Im not sure exactly how from the sc3 steam pressure/flowrate compares to the sc5 steam pressure/flowrate, i have a specific task in mind to clean greasy fridge coils in restaurants, these things not requiring as much water and generate less flying debris from a air compressor im hoping are hot enough and capable of penetrating the 60mm thick coils. Id love to know if anyone in the trades got success here.

      Apart from the iron accessory and the water drop function they can all use the same accessories, so they can both clean the same, the sc5 being more powerful can clean quicker and easier but if you willing to spend more time then the sc3 Will eventually do the same end job like a bucket or a jug they can both fill up a paddling pool, but one you finish earlier

    Great review! Thank you for taking the time to make it. Do you have an opinion on the steam vacuum SV7 vs the SC5? I´m in the market for a steam cleaner. Will be used for general cleaning, of course. However preparing textiles (carpets, rugs, pillows, poufs etc) for sale and shipping is a main area of usage. Which is why I´m considering the SV7 with steam and vacuum, in stead of a "steam only" unit. But the doubt is stronger after watching you review.

    • @RichManPoorTech

      I have never used one as I use a dedicated vac for vacuuming like a Dyson or my Karcher wd3 wet and dry for diy, If I get one I will do a video but you will probably be sorted by then. As I find you either want to steam clean or vacuum, then I have never seen the need for a larger dual use machine when a more compact easier to manoeuvre version suits me better

      are you just on about interiors, SC5 has the water droplet that adds to the cleaning ability but you probably wont use that on interiors, it is the better machine. If your doing engine bays detailing it might help, but ive never done that myself
      I mainly use my sc3 for car interiors as the steam is good enough for interiors, just be careful on painted surfaces like indicator stalks and switches, i used to use my wet and dry vac to suck out the steam cleaned fabric, and just a micro fibre cloth on leather, before i got my bissell spray extractor shown on another one of videos, and it did a remarkable job, so i would presume that the sc4 would be good enough, just avoid SC2

    Dude, what's up with the SC 2 hate in every Karcher SC video? Lmao, it's almost like you're not getting a big enough affiliate commission from the SC 2 sales. With the SC 2, you can clean roughly for an hour. After an hour of non-stop cleaning, one can simply take a 5min break and conveniently combine that with a new tank and the time it takes to pressure up. No problem whatsoever, unless you're working professionally.

    • @RichManPoorTech
      @RichManPoorTech  Год назад +2

      if i was just after more affiliate commission like some channels i wouldn't give my honest reviews telling you not to buy a sc2, in my experience the sc2 would need to be filled multipul times if you were cleaning for a hour. if you have a sc2 and are happy with it then thats great, but for me i wish i hadn't bought my sc2 and someone had advised me to purchase a sc3, this is my honest thoughts which is integral to my channel, if i don't like something i will tell you and i will tell you why.

    • @MrSociofobs

      @@RichManPoorTech The SC5 is four years old but the warranty only goes for two years.
      I had a Karcher extension hose on the K2 which burst and the cost of a new extension hose was nearly the price of a new K2.
      I replaced that with a Gerni 7300 which unlike the Karcher has a braided hose of 12m and also unlike the Karcher you can run the pressure washer with no water in it because the pump is made of aluminium and Gerni even states to run the pressure washer and discharge all the water out of the machine and the hose. The Gerni pressure washer has a 7 year warranty. The closest you can get to a Gerni pressure washer in the UK is a Husqvanna which is very similar.
      Compared to the K2's 1600 psi the 7300 has 2320psi and uses 8L of water a minute. It also comes complete with all attachments including a large powerful surface cleaner with a dial for pressure and everything is stored on the machine.
      My brother has a K5 pressure cleaner and it's rubbish in comparison to my 7300.
      He has paving that hasn't been cleaned in 40 years and his K5 surface cleaner attachment wouldn't shift the dirt and grime but my 7300 did and he was gobsmacked at the power it has. The surface cleaner has two different nozzles standard and hammer head for cleaning tough grime and I used the hammer heads on my brother's paving.
      My brother would love to buy a 7300 but the K5 was a birthday present from his daughter so he can't dispose of it. But he can borrow mine for tough jobs that his K5 just can't cope with. The 7300 is a domestic machine not professional one.
