I've got this lens on micro four thirds, it's really nice. It's got a decently good close focus distance and it's very sharp. On micro four thirds it's 20mm FF equivalent and the fisheye effect isn't too strong.
Thanks Mark! This lens is on its way to my door. Wish I had it when I visited France in 2023. Would have been awesome at Versailles for example. Been wanting to get into fish eye and thanks to your advice, this is happening. Really appreciate your analysis and the detail you add to your recommendations. Keep up the great work!
I just bought this lens, I can't wait to try it out on my Sony ZVE10 (just changed from Canon to Sony). Great videos on affordable lenses Mark! I am also considering returning the Sigma 30 mm 1.4 and getting the Tameron 17-70 2.8 lens instead since I am looking for all around travel lens.
This looks like a fun and cheap lens to try. Huge warning on a brand new TTartisans 35mm F,095.....the least sharp lens open all the way ever. Heck at F1.4 its still horrible. I purchased new and just sold at huge loss because I was disspointed on lack of sharpness on my Nikon Z30. Thanks for the videos and I think you should do videos on bad lens too. All your videos are amazing my favorite to see reviews on just wish you had " the ones to stay away from" Thanks, JS
Thanks for sharing this. There are so many good products that I never bother to cover the bad ones, but your story is a good example of why I probably should, at least in some manner. Thank you.
Bought it from your link, arrived today. It's... interesting. On my Fuji X Pro 3, it is roughly a 16mm to FF, and it makes me want something even wider but not fully fisheye. Build quality of the body and mount is nice, the objective lens and the integrated blade to protect it don't feel adequate, but this is to be the norm for such wide lenses. If I don't ditch Fuji for all medium format, I might buy another lens from these guys.
Hello. I've been following your channel for a while, every video is great, and I've learned a lot, and thank you for that, and you're very good, and detailed. I have one question. I'm about to start a job as a photographer of birthday parties, weddings, etc. So if you could suggest which lenses would be best for such situations. I have Canon M50 Mark II. Thank you and a great salute from Bosnia and Herzegovina.👍👍👍
I have a 7.5mm fisheye and a 12mm rectilinear. Need this like a hole in my head. Nonetheless, I can't resist and just dropped $56 for this lens. The compact size and simplified use won me over. Point and shoot on my Fuji XA1.
Happy New Year Mark. I have been enjoying and learning from your videos lately. In my bag there are two primes; the walkaround lens and my special subject lens. That subject for me is architecture and interiors, so it’s a wide. (ASPC 13mm & 24mm.) This duo on a Sony with “clear image zoom” lets me cover quite a lot in a 26mp file. Between the two of them I’ve got f1.2 through f22 covered. The two lens solution❗️
My railfan friends have been impressed with my Night Time train photos using the 35mm from Brightin Star. I might start slowly replacing my F Mount lenses.
Can you recommend some budget lenses like sigma?? I have Canon Eos M50 II and I want to do Vlogging and Photography. What budget lens would be the best?
Oh I dunno.. I can think of several that have either inspired or practically compelled me to leave my comfort zone to take advantage of their strengths, so I certainly give the lenses *some * credit in my improvement.
Well, apparently, no amount of "autocorrect," which I'm quite certain every phone has these days, or the fact that the internet is just brimming with knowledge that can easily be accessed by anyone with a "smart" phone, can make you, at least, an okay writer, either. It's "lens!" I mean, I'm sorry, but that's just elementary knowledge.

Very excited to watch the coming videos on sub-$100 lenses fro APS-C. Right up my alley. Thank you and Happy New Year.

Such a cheap way to experience fisheye and the image quality is more than good enough, exceeds the price point for sure. Enjoy!

There is no such thing as a lens that makes you a better photographer.
You could at least watch the video before commenting

@@MayhemJack Then again one may note the word “several”, thus indicating plural.. as in “lenses”.
Lens don't make good photographers.
