Emma reminds me of my granddaughters who when they were full scattered the leftover Cheerios around them on the floor. Soooo cute. Beautiful kitchen especially love the vaulted ceilings & the lights. Thank you for taking us round Creon & the lovely market. French & Italian markets are I think the best markets.
The kitchen looks amazing - the round ceiling, the ‘unplastered’ walls, the old oven, the floor tiles - everything just fits together so good! Enjoyed today’s episode, thanks Edd and Anna! ☺️ greetings from Belgium 👋
The kitchen was absolutely beautiful. Love how big it is. The light over the table is amazing. The previous owner did a great job on making it. The outdoor market looks amazing. Made me hungry 😊
What a great market we cant have any here at the moment .love the stone in your kitchen stunning the food didnt look bad either. Thanks you two .Janine John
Hi Janine and John nice to hear from you. Thank you for your kind words, we will be looking at some more local villages next week and a few extra treats!! Xx
Emma made me smile as she threw her Cheerios and Oreos on the floor. My grandson does the same, then looks at you with a smile and says "Done". Thanks for the wonderful tour, it appears French nobility knew how to live well!
Jo thank you for your kind words, I'm sure you'll be visit sooner that you think. For the moment we will keep bringing you a weekly snippet of our life here in Bordeaux.xx
Thank you we hoped to help people missing French markets due to confinement and other reasons so it makes us happy that you enjoyed it so much to comment. xx
Beautiful kitchen. When I think of barrel vault rooms, I think of dark oppressive rooms. This one is completely not dark or oppressive. It is light and friendly.
Walter your correct, we often find guests sat in the kitchen at all times of the day just chatting. There is lots of history in that room.... if the walls could talk!!
Tout d'abord, thanks for showing another great video/story that I must say, I really learned something again (started from your first video with Saint Émilion.) I do enjoy how you and Anna coordinate your coverage of an interesting kitchen renovation, old world charm yet tastefully captivating with additional touch of modern, the market scene so inviting and organic, the cooking at the end with that simple dish of pasta and garlic with the proper accompaniment of wine (this, je vais essayer de la faire.) Beautiful presentation.
I could smell the garlic pasta from here & it made me so hungry. Love watching you in the kitchen Ed & Ana narrating ❤ I think Emma had the right idea just use your fingers, it tastes so much better. So enjoy seeing you all on the vlogs I'm catching up on those I've missed. Lots pf love from Southern Spain ❤
I don’t think you can ever have too garlic! Thank you for the beautiful tour of the outdoor market. Your kitchen is stunning and the light is perfect. Looking forward to the next one!
Just caught up, love seeing you film as a family it’s really natural and authentic. Great to see that clean kitchen in a historic setting and to see that Edd’s hair has started to grow back following the buzz cut! 🤣🤣🤓
Thank you so much for watching Karen ❤️ really appreciate it x x The kitchen is the heart ♥️ of the chateau and usually always full of people and laughter x We can’t wait until it is like that again x x So glad you liked the town and the market ❤️
Thank you for showing us your region, it's very interesting.Beautiful France ! Your kids have good taste of food already ! Looking forward next video , seeing places with you!
What a lot of fun today’s vlog was! Kitchen tour was so interesting. Enjoyed the market visit and charming children. Dinner looked delicious! Thanks Edd and Anna.
You all had my mouth watering! What a delightful lunch! Love , love, love your sweet family, well behaved cherubs, and very talented chef and videographer! Looking forward to the next time 👍😁
I loved seeing the kitchen and hearing about how it was originally when you bought it and the work you've done to make it so lovely. I am so jealous of the market you get to go to. Food always tastes so much better when it is fresh but you also have the benefit of master cheese makers and fabulous wines to go with it. You have beautiful children as well. Much love to you all.
The restoration of the kitchen is stunning. Restoring the walls back to the original stone was an excellent decision. I love the large dinning table in the kitchen, it looks so welcoming. Anna I must say that you are wonderful with handling the camera. The fresh market was a wonderful treat and I could almost imagine being there. Thank you for another wonderful vlog.
Gypsy its comments like yours that spur us on to keep making vlogs, and striving to get better, we were a little dissapointed that last weeks vlog didnt do too well, as we thought it was great.... this week is going really well so fingers crossed we get back on track. Thank you for all the kind words. xx
LOVED seeing your kitchen, the markets and then putting it all together for dinner! Loved hearing both English and French! Great video! Thanks for taking us along. Love from Southern California 💗
Another enjoyable video Anna and Edd. Loved seeing the French market. Charles and Emma enjoying themselves too. Our Granddaughter Isabella is so like Emma, similar hair too, they are growing up so fast ❤️❤️
Calsi thank you. Yes they grow up so quick, one good thing that’s come out of the pandemic is that we have gotten to spend more time than ever with Charles and Emma. Xx
(Edd here)🤣🤣🤣 Thank god I got to this message before Anna !!!!- I’d be in trouble!!! Thank you - I feel so privileged when I get to cook in that kitchen in the chateau. Keep watching xx
It was fun to see both the kitchen and the market, and then to see a meal prepared using what you got there. I'm enjoying all the different videos you are doing.
Loved the market. It brings back memories of living in Germany when my husband was in the military. Here in the States we have what is called Farmers Markets but nothing like that. I miss so many things about living in Europe, thanks for bringing back the memories.
Dale thank you, i'm sure travel will be back on the cards sooner that we all think. In the mean time we will help you escape to the Bordeaux region each week. xx
Thanks for taking us along to the market with you! It is nice to be able to see how people do the everyday things living in France. It did my heart good to hear Charles asking for a radish! Liked his charcuterie selection as well! 👍
Kimberly thank you for coming along to market with us. Xx sometimes it’s hard work with Charles and food... others it’s a delight - him wanting an apple and radishes was great!!!
I love this kitchen. You do a great job too, on the videos, the music especially. Fitting for the occasion of the property. I love how kind and gentle you two are with each other civilized. Especially good children. You have a very interesting life, Ed is a work horse, his superman. Very driven.
Wonderful series! If possible, it would be lovely to get some mics to help with sound when you move around. Then we don’t need to constantly change the volume to hear. Cheers!
Hi Janet we are looking into the safest option for mics as some of our vlogging friends have had problems in the past... if you can just give us a little time we will find the right product and all will work perfectly. xx
This is the perfect mix of what we love to see - amazing drone shots, a glimpse inside the chateau with your cozy rustic modern kitchen, surrounding area, good food, and your beautiful family. LOVE it all!
I had a bag like that for my son when he was in the stroller when we lived in Berlin, it was so cold. I also had a plastic thing that covered the stroller to keep the rain, snow and wind off of him. He loved it because he could see through it.
Hi Edd & Anna, what a wonderful video! Beautiful kitchen, so much work to restore it, but really worth it! I loved Emma in the highchair throwing her food on the floor...so cute and typical of her age, 😊 glad you include the children in your videos...life is all about family! I'm with you Edd about the oysters. Really enjoyed the market and seeing Edd cook! Thank you so much for sharing, take really good care of yourselves, stay well, be safe! Much love Kathy x
Jenny so do we!!! It makes all the difference to that dish... it is simple you should give it a go!! thank you for the kind feedback. keep watching. xx
So nice to hear you speak French. Did you learn it school? How long have the two of you lived in the chateau? Are your parents still there? And an impertinent question, when and how did you meet? I loved the vid excellent quality with the filming. Lovely to see a child wanting and asking for what might be considered adult food. Good job, parents!
Zarih thank you for your kind words and encouragement. I (Edd) learnt French in 2003 when I was thrown into the deep end in our small French village near Bordeaux, Anna learnt French at school in France in 2001. My parents are stuck in England with the lockdown, but they will be back out as soon as they can (they have had their first jab). We met in 2007, I was friends with Annas brother.... and quickly realised I was more interested in the sister (Anna)!!!! LOL Keep watching xx
20:19 the purest part of the video 😩the stroll though the market was beautiful, I could smell everything 😄 Wine O ⏰ is the best part of the day 😊Dinner looked spectacular! I have those same plates as well from ‘Maison du Monde’. Thanks for a very satisfying vlog❤️
❤️🤣👌 what an amazing plan !!! Also plenty of wine and Karen & myself will find you a place near us so we can come for dinner from time to time obviously you will also be invited to come for dinner at ours ❤️
That light fixture is beautiful.....and the tapestry, fantastic ! Oh and I love the Bread/Pizza Oven. I would love to have that look in a kitchen, the walls and ceiling....Love it all....Please continue vlogging...so interesting.
Love your Kitchen. And it's workable. I enjoy your daughter very much her Throwing that cookie on the floor was funny. God-bless you all Keepsafe and warm.
Ed and Anna thank you for the vlog; really enjoyed the tour of your kitchen and the market. Looking forward to future vlogs. You have two adorable children. Thank you.
A great vlog you two created I really enjoyed it. Well rounded vlog, interesting, informative and interactive; it was very entertaining . I enjoyed how you showed the towns on the map and how it is situated to your Château that was really interesting.Great editing and filming. You have a lovely family. Thank you for taking us around.🌈🇨🇦👍👌
Great to watch every day life in rural France. Thanks for sharing your visit to the market. I think most following your vlog wish to enjoy the European way of living. Thanks for showing us the French way. We can't wait te hear more about your chateau 's history. If those Wall could talk! It must take a lot of planning and hard work to maintain it and to renovate it when needed. It is people like you that keeps the history and culture alive. Regards from Pretoria South Africa
Helana thanks for the kind words, we will keep bringing our French lifestyle to you, with a diverse array of content. Tonights episode is another really interesting one I hope!! xx
Fabulous market, everything looked so colourful and fresh and then home to cook a delicious pasta dish. What a great kitchen, no wonder you are inspired to get creative. Thanks to your sweet family for letting us tag along. Cheers from 🇨🇦.
Hi Margo thank you for your support, we were a little disappointed last week as views were down, even though people loved the vlog..... things are back on track this week so we are heading in the right direction!!! Love your country. xx
@@BordeauxLife I imagine the number of viewers will vary from time to time but you are producing a quality vlog so you cannot go wrong. Keep up the great work! 🇨🇦.
I am so happy to have found your wonderful channel! The area is magical and your home is beyond beautiful! I hope you have much success with your vlogs and that your wonderful family enjoys making them.
lovely, enjoyed your vlog very much keep up the good work . can not wait to see your chateau in the spring when every thing is blooming beautiful kitchen love the vaulted ceiling ! hello from Kentucky
Just love your kitchen. I've never been to France ,it looks amazing, and the markets, fabulous. I will definitely be trying Edds recipe. Thank you once again for showing us around your home and the town. Keep safe. Xx
That would go so fast in my house! My daughter lived in Italy. Her boys got spoiled with European food. We make carbonara, fettuccini, I love mushroom ravioli w/ garlic, cream, and Parmesan cheese. So quick to make! Thanks for that easy recipe!😋
Joanne thank you for your comment. The key to this recipe is roasting the garlic... it opens it up to everyone as the garlic is so mellow. You are welcome, keep watching as next week we mix it up again. xx
Patty thank you for your compliments... Edd runs a tight ship on manners.... they are being really well behaved on the vlogs too..... maybe we should be using the camera more often!!! Hope you enjoy tonights vlog. xx
Another great video, love the market and so much fresh food. The kitchen is fabulous and looks beautiful how it has been restored. The light is stunning and suits the room.
Leanne thank you for your kind feedback, it makes us happy that people seem to like what we are doing!!! You are right the light perfect for the room. Next week we change it up again, just to keep you all interested!!! xx
I loved this one! Imagining myself at the chateau having wine too. Love love the cooking videos and hoping to see more of them! Off to make myself this recipe!
Jean thank you it still takes our breath away when we walk in there years on!!! Yes Creon market is great - not to big and not too small!! keep watching xx
Really enjoyed seeing the beautiful kitchen and great to see the children too. French bread and cheese - my favourites. The fresh pasta looked delicious - much nicer than the dried versions from the supermarkets here.
Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful family's life with us...it's a delight! I would only make a couple of suggestions to make it even better. It was hard to hear Edd at certain points in the video...if he had a microphone (with a wind screen) so that we could hear him better that would be great. Also the video seems a bit jerky...not sure if it is the camera itself or a setting. Perhaps a good quality video camera with a gimbal for steady shots. I don't mean to criticize the videos...they are great and I love your wonderful family...thank you for sharing.
Steve thanks for the positive feedback, we are going to sort the mic issue asap, and duly noted for the jerkeyness. We want to make the vlog as enjoyable as possible so people helping us like this makes it easier for us. xx
Just found your channel. Loved the market tour. I've subscribed because of this tour. My husband is French, born in Nîmes, but he's lived in California for decades. We love our visits to France and would love to find our own place there someday. This helps us feel like we're there when we can't be. 💖
Thank you so much Donna for watching that is so beautiful what you just said ❤️❤️❤️🙏 thank you so much really appreciate it ! I hope 🤞 one day soon you get your place in France 🇫🇷 ! Lots of love Anna x x w

Just love your kitchen. I've never been to France ,it looks amazing, and the markets, fabulous. I will definitely be trying Edds recipe. Thank you once again for showing us around your home and the town. Keep safe. Xx
Treena you are welcome, thank you for your kind words, and if you get the chance you should come visit France.
You are welcome, keep watching as next week we mix it up again. xx
Your garlic pasta recipe is so simple to make. I’m going to make it. Thanks for sharing it.
Now I'm hungry for pasta & garlic. I love how the children show good manners.
Patty thank you for your compliments... Edd runs a tight ship on manners.... they are being really well behaved on the vlogs too..... maybe we should be using the camera more often!!! Hope you enjoy tonights vlog. xx

Really enjoyed seeing the beautiful kitchen and great to see the children too. French bread and cheese - my favourites. The fresh pasta looked delicious - much nicer than the dried versions from the supermarkets here.

Great tour l love French markets. l love the vaulted ceiling and the stone is beautiful 😃 looking forward to the next video
Thank you, next video we will mix it up again. xx
We want to make the vlog as enjoyable as possible so people helping us like this makes it easier for us. xx
Wow beautiful house, furniture and scenery...love
Loved the trip to the market! Also will make garlic that way yummm
Nancy you have to give it a try, its a really easy dish but so nice!!!
