- This is old footage, a few weeks before I had a workplace accident resulting in caude equina. I ended up having emergency surgery, laminectomy, microdisectomy, and removal of a large vetebrae fragment to relieve the compression. To top it off, my heart stopped beating for a bit and I spent 5 days in a cardiac ward.
A few days after the surgery, my legs felt like they were burning and at the same time going numb from my feet to my knees. The pain around my lower back also started to get worse to the same level it was before I went in, the surgeon saying he couldnt do anything else.
Off to the pain management doctor we go to try to fix the pain. After 4 more proceduress to try to relieve the pain, nothing works. The pain in my back gets worse after each procedure.
The latest is to go for a second opinion.
Nothing to say other than get well soon! Wish you all the best.
Thanks 👍
Oh god, back injury? Wishing you to get well soon. Just so you know, its okay to pause the game for now. You can comeback to it later or anytime sooner. Take this as encouragement for you to find your strength to fight the pain you are enduring.
Best regard,
A guy from another country.
Yeah pretty bad, had cauda equina, 3 discs blew out and broke L5 resulting in removing the broken bit, severe nerve damage down both legs and laminectomy and micrdicectomy. I'm nearly 50 and don't heal, as well as I used to.
Praying for you. Stay strong.
You'll be back in no time. Stay strong, brother! 🫡💪
Lets hope so
Wish you a speedy recovery mate! Glad you didnt die❤️🙏🏾
🤣 so am I
Stay strong Brother.
Hope to see you back at the track and making content for the same
Appreciated, thanks alot
Hope you have a speedy recovery and be back on the track. 💪 If RUclips recommended this to me then I'm sure it wants me to leave a comment here.👍
Thanks mate👍
Get well soon, if not sooner 👍
Thanks mate
Not a riding related incident I assume?
No mate, work related
Good luck with the recovery
Nearly broke mine too after 2 months of getting my first bike.
Stuck with re occurring seroma build up in my whole lower back area. Been 12 months but it’s getting better slowly.
Get well soon man.
Wish it had been from a bike crash, at least I'd be looking at a wrecked bike. Just a good old fashioned work i jury...thanks for the encouraging words 👍
I feel you bro.
I lost my baby (2009 R1) last year because I made a stupid decision. Went out for a ride on a day I wasn't supposed to be, on a road I had never been down before, in the worst mental space I had ever been. Decided to rip the road thinking my 20+ years of track experience and 200k+ miles of street experience would keep me alive. I misjudged a blind hill and sharp corner combo and went flying off the side of a steep embankment. Shattered my wirst, fractured my opposite shoulder in 3 locations, lost my baby. My family has banned me from getting back on since I have kids. I miss my baby every single day. I love my kids but I don't think that should keep me from my passion, even if it's dangerous.
Keep your head up bro. Think of all the MotoGP / MotoA / WorldSBK riders that get into horrific accidents. They recover fast. If I remember correctly, Rossi was told many times that he would never get back on a bike again. He proved them wrong every time. Marquez too. You can do it too. You've been told you'll never get back on a bike again, prove them wrong. Keep the fire in your soul and you'll get back to it in no time.
Good luck hermano. I can't wait to hear how satisfying it is for you to get back in the saddle.
Those were extremely kind words! God bless both of you.
If that ever happens i wouldnt rather it killed me
Lots of things have gone through my head......
