"One's life changes exponentially better once he stops thinking what others think of him." - unknown philosopher
Too many people focus on how others are having fun, or what they might think of them. Truth is, most people don't give a fuck. Just have fun the way you like to have fun, whatever that is.
I don't need an FZ1... I ride one so that the guy in the Porcshe SUV understands that he ain't fast even in his wildest dreams.
The opinion changes depending on what you got, my current bike is slower then my old one so i focus more on having fun with cornering instead of speeding
I'm moving down from a MT07 to a Honda XR150L. I have 0 worries about it's health, looks, it is going to be a super mess around bike compared to my 2016 R1
The problem is the fast/slow saying totally misses the nuance that there's a point where more power is just not usable on the road (even assuming you're speeding). I'd argue that you're going to have way more fun overall in the 80-120hp range, where you can still go legit fast, but you're able to go WOT on regular roads and highways. Get a 200hp bike, and there's rarely enough road to do it as you run out of road/hit traffic too much. But if you've got a
Put over 11,000 miles on my Royal Enfield Bullet 350 this year including the Muskoka’s, Southern BC and the Black Hills,SD
Loads of fun on the twisty roads.
No fun in between with the vast distances.
So I got a Moto Guzzi 1200 Sport for next season. Puts a big smile on my face.
I personally really enjoy a slow bike fast like a 500, they’re comfortable and so nimble. Not all the highway power but super fun around town and twisty roads 👍
Twists> speed
Launch an H2 then get back on a grom and tell me you're still having fun
I don’t fuck with groms but I own a 2017 zx10r and a little 150cc pit bike enduro, the 150 is literally only fun in a parking lot practicing wheelies. Once I get foot brake down, I’m immediately selling it and getting an fz07 lmao
This bike would smoke a grom.... he's not promoting scooters. You can't use an h2 to its full potential. I think you missed the point of the video
@@nightwolf_truckfein1066 ? I once lent a H2SX. Maxed it out twice on highways, and nearly maxed it out on a backroad. Had many laughs, but decided to keep my saner 675
@@nightwolf_truckfein1066 Grom isn't a scooter, that's the Navi. Ur right, full potential on the street, def not, but that doesn't mean its not still much more fun that riding a slow bike
Riding a fast bike fast trumps both of them... well, at least until you get caught.... and as long as you dont die.
I have an MV Agusta F3 RR and I strictly ride on the road - I never feel scared of it or don't feel like I'm not having fun. It's all in your head, I can enjoy my bike at all times even though it's not designed for the road.
Just got back from southern Ohio on the Monster. That Aprilia would be perfect there. It's a miata. Way more fun than a liter bike in those conditions.
I dunno, my cbr650 feels too docile. As a toy rather than a tool i feel it needs some more "danger factor".
Smaller sprocket on the front. Lower front on the forks. Cost are minimal.
Could fit better suspension but just injury it.
Sprocket will give more acceleration and lower the front will turn in quicker. ✌
There’s slow docile bikes and slow peppy bikes. Riding a slow, peppy bike fast is more fun. It’s not fun to drive slow docile bike fast.
Did back to back test rides on the Panigale V2 and the V4S yesterday. Took the same route on German public backroads with both. Fast bike was better in all ways. Just my opinion but you can go slow with a fast bike but you can't go fast with a slow bike.
I'll tell you the solution:
Get both of them.
Get a fast bike ... Also keep a slow one 😅
I had a GSXR 400RR from 1990
To be frank, the Rs660 is the perfect amount of power, full stop. From the track to the road, from beginner to MotoGP rider…. It is ideal across the spectrum… you get to “crank it”, and have the ability to manage all of it… maximum adrenaline flush if you squeeze it right
* i t d e p e n d s *
Highly frustrating "riding a slow bike fast" on track... 🙄😖
you got passed by a girl on a ninja 400... didn't you...
@@joetheagent indeed 😪
Lol😂
Ay I mean, 200hp bikes pass me on the straight easily (Street Triple 675R)... but it's so much fun to get even in the corners, and to not laugh out when they brag about their lap times in the pit lane using a big expensive computer-operated superbike.
@@simonb6982 I wouldn't call a 675R "a slow bike" though... 🤷🏼♂️
@@literal_lee On the racetrack, it kinda is
I have a 2011 cbr 250r, got it because it was the absolute cheapest A2 motorcycle I could get (don't have big A yet cuz I'm 21). Definitely not fun on the highway when engine is screaming and you're barely going faster than the cars. But at least I'm not really afraid to make mistakes on it, allowed me to learn clutch control, still learning rev-matching, shifting from 2nd to 1st on a single-cilinder 250 is a nightmare. Couldn't imagine riding a 5k+ bike paid with my own money as a beginner or even experienced rider, maybe I'm too young to think at that financial level lol
I would hate to live somewhere with so many tar snakes, they are so dangerous, especially when it's hot.
I have had more people talk to me while stopped at traffic lights and parking lots while I was on my z125 than any other bike I ever owned. I went to cyclegear - there are like 10 other bikers, but mine was the conversation started. I even had few people literally stop me and ask me for price so they can get one from the dealer.
The other week, people asked me why I never ride my XSR900. Well, when I do, I am literally on second gear in the street unless on the highway. Its really just a waste to take it out. Putting miles for nothing - city speed limit is 35mph and traffic cameras are everywhere.
I have a Z400 and i ride highway mostly. I need to experience more speed.
Riding a slow bike fast will always beat riding a fast bike slow, especially on streets with terrible road conditions and awful drivers. That said I've found my R6 to be my favourite daily. I can cruise around at slower speeds then be way more aggressive and fast when I want to be.
But a slow bike teaches so much more and really lets you push a bigger bike to its limites
Still have the 390 Duke from my ex wife... It's insanely fun to ride and when there's enough corners and not too long straights the big bike are having a really hard time beating it.
But it sucks for longer trips, that's when I use my Street Triple RS. It's a really great combi imho.
You're right about the offroad stuff... A big fat ass adventure bike is always beaten by a simple 300 two stroke enduro, even in light terrain and open space. They're more a marketing hype with their followers than really usefull bikes.
Bro posted at like 11 in the morning and has a Supra passing him
I think that bike is one of the coolest looking ones I've ever seen.
Where I'm from 450cc with 50hp is NOT considered a small bike. 200cc is what's considered small😅
I think 150 horsepower or so is perfect. I ride an fjr1300 and am looking at a gsxs1000gt.
Sport touring and adventure bikes are my taste. Comfortable for many hour trips, pretty sporty, and quick.
I like the longer gears myself. The bike seems more relaxed. My dad z900 does 55 in first and honestly i always start his bike in second gear just because it feels better.
And i drag race regularly. Ran a better than advertised time of 10.97 on my 40k mile fjr1300 with crash bars and a touring screen.
Definitely more fun to ride my slow bike fast, than my fast bike slow..
I had my ninja 400 for a year , and I had so much fucking fun ripping that thing around. I got rid of it this year though because it was just too small to ride on the interstate, it got tossed around. But if I had the room and money for 2 bikes , I would have kept the 400 100%
I live 2 miles from Lime Creek. I ride it multiple times a week. I wonder how many times you’ve passed me on my Grom.
2:20 i always wanted to ask: do you guys greet other riders in your respective country? Greeting from Germany, I think we usually greet here (except Harley and some gs riders)
I think that's universal. Unless maybe India, where there are a billion motorcycles.
Every bike you can go hard af on is fun.
On a twisty, windy highway a light bike can be miserable. Getting blowed sideways by winds and when passing Semis can be exhausting. A motorcycle with power and substance is preferred.
US highways must be way different than German ones
Depends on where you want to ride, and where you live really.
No
Yeah....exactly what youre doing....driving it really slowly lol
Never been on a fast bike but yeah I do understand what you are talking about.
I like my GSXR750 for going fast and just cruising.
Could you do a video on what you would change if you could for future reference as most mods are still not available for this bike yet
I’d like to see you ride and review the ninja 500
I just dream of the day I can get a Suzuki Katana.
Where's the exhaust installation video
I don't even have to watch the video to tell you it depends on what you're doing with it. Straight line power no way. Why do twisty roads a lot of fun.
I'm actually considering of selling my 750 in favor of some two-cylinder 450 like the CFMOTO or something similar. I'm doing mostly street riding anyways, so yeah lol
Thinking about getting this one or a a2 limited cbr650r as my first bike
I just went 68mph on my Ebike! The best is riding a fast bike fast!
For 20 miles though.
What is the bike in the thumbnail please? What year is it?
Still going to watch but slow bike fast yes
3 seconds in.....YES: it is waaaaay more fun the drive a slow bike fast. Bye now
PAPA YAMS WOOOI
Slow bikes are not fun, period. Bikes that are "fast enough" are super fun to ride fast. But slow bikes are just slow and usually are heavy in relation to their power output and have poor and non-adjustable suspension. They suck. The slowest bikes I have found to still have any fun factor are the current 390 Duke, and the 690 Supermoto. But bikes like a R3, CBR500F, WR250X etc are just boring AF.
I bet you live in America where everything is flat.
Interesting that you place the duke 390 over the cb500f and R3. Since both bikes are faster than the duke.
Damm..500cc bikes r called slow now, i get different people find different things enjoyable, i enjoy calm ride/tour n some rlly enjoy fast speed. But isnt the bikes u mentioned actually can go a decent speed ?
@@christianridgel9234 How fast a bike is as much related to the weight, rotating mass, unsprung weight, chassis, suspension, gearing, braking, and how the power is delivered, as the horsepower number. Having owned all 3, unless you are talking about top speeds where aero becomes a factor, or possibly a drag race, I would argue that those two bikes are not faster than the '24 Duke.
@@last5902 On reasonably flat, smooth, and open road, yes they have decent top speeds, but that doesn't make them fast in a variety of road conditions.
NO FUN A BIG FAT 1000CC RIDING SLOW MOST OF THE TIME
Riding a fast bike fast is better lol
hey papa yam try the harley 440x
Definitely more fun to ride a slow bike fast. Riding a fast bike slowly feels WRONG
Totally disagree. 50000miles on all kind of roads (including tracks) with 72/106/110hp bikes. More power usually means more fun. 3500km on my Tuono V4 feels like a rebirth!
@@simonb6982 I was mainly thinking about the quicker sports bikes I've owned and the times I had to ride them more conservatively because of traffic or road or weather conditions. It felt constricting and frustrating. Whereas on slower bikes you tend to accept their limitations and just take it in your stride.
@@jethrobradley7850 Well, training that crucial patience is part of my fun.

Buying those 100+HP bikes just lame... You cant even use your shifter...
Depends how it's geared.
Not strictly true. My MT09 is quite short geared, I use every gear.
@@paulhope3401 exactly dude. Mt09 is the ultimate road bike, no one can convince me otherwise
