Jamie dealt 8 cards. In the end when David shows all 6s of diamonds, there are only 7 cards in total - 6 in David's hand and 1 in Jamie's. The 8th card (3 of clubs) was discarded when David asked everyone to focus on what he wrote on cook's hands.

1 slight of hand to reveal the card, 2nd slight of hand to load the 6D into Jamie's hand. Looking at palm was the distraction to get clean.

Hes palmed the 3 when he shows the writing on the hand, but its the placement of the 3 to double lift im stuck on. Either way, the lift itself is clean af

David Blaine takes risks but he used a pretty well known force. If you're asking someone to deal that slowly you can just about guarantee when they'll stop dealing a card down. In this case a double lift worked great but you can bet if it was a card sooner he would've just done a top deal to get in the same position.

But it sure looks like Jamie stopped one card after the 3, David did a double lift to show everyone the three but then handed Jamie the 6 that was actually the top card. Then he ditches the 3 when he tells the other guy to read what's written on his hand

The entire deck Jamie is holding is 6d with the top card 3c.
When Jamie deals the cards, the 3c is the first he deals.
When Jamie stops dealing, Blaine lifts two cards (a double lift), the top 6d and the 3c from the bottom.
He shows Jamie the 3c which has a 6d on top of it (as if it's one card).
He places both back on top (as if he's placing only the 3c on top, but it has a 6d on it).
He then hands Jamie the top card (a 6d) as if it's the 3c.
Jamie is holding a 6d.
The 3c is the top card in Blaine's hand.
Blaine tells the spectator to open his hand and reveal the writing.
Everyone looks at the spectator's hand (even the cameraman focuses on the hand).
While everyone is looking at the writing on the hand, Blaine pockets the 3c.
All cards, including the one that Jamie is holding, are 6d.
The video gets cut off abit too early. Wanted to see more reactions. This was good.

When you tell someone to SLOWLY deal one card at a time to make a SMALL deck , and repeat SLOWLY a lot , most of the time everyone stops after the 7th card , its a proven trick , works almost everytime , now he did not stops after 7th card , he goes 1 card extra, now all you need is to double lift from the small pile , and you got the 7th card Forced on the person , try it

@@JK-zv2dl I believe the first part of the deck is "normal" and reveals the 3C. The majority is the 6D (the end of the deck). DB hides a 6D behind the original 3C (face showing is 3C, the second card behind is 6D, and when flipped over, the top card is now the 6D, which ends in Jamie's hand). DB then swaps out the cards that were dealt with 6Ds. He reveals these cards to be 6D. He then pulls cards from the rest of the main deck in Jamie's hand from the 6D side. When he pulls out the whole deck and starts dropping 6D, he doesn't go ALL the way to the beginning of the deck when fanning the cards out. These are turned away from the camera and dropped closer to DB's body. That's my guess, at least.
No the pile that Jamie was stacking was all 6 of diamonds, he pushed the three of clubs on him.

When Blaine reveals the card Jamie picked you can see Blaine's hand that is holding the stack of cards do a little movement. I think he's pushing a card that is the 3 clubs so that the card Jamie turns over is the 3 clubs.
Then there's a point when Blaine touches Jamie's hand when Jamie is holding the 3 clubs. In this moment he swaps the 6 diamond for the 3 club. He's so fast and smooth that Jamie doesn't even feel it.
It is an extremely well executed sleight of hand, two times, to create the effect.

He didn't have to. It was always a pack of 6d. The impressive sleight was adding the 3c as the 2nd top card, probably with a 6d on top already come to think about it, but that was the whole trick (then double lift and misdirection)
@@topofthetree He didn't palm the 3c into the packet. His hands were clean at that time, and the video is uncut for that sequence.
This is the great mystery, it seems. Any decent card magician could spot the REMOVAL of the 3c, but I have yet to see a valid explanation as to how it got there.
I have a hard time believing Blaine would risk having it in Jamie's hands the whole time...too many variables. I know his cards are marked, but that still doesn't answer it...color me fooled!
