After "borrowing" a $100 bill from James's own pocket, David uses various methods to destroy it. James is convinced to drink the remains before a wild surprise guest arrives. His first-ever residency, "David Blaine: In Spades," kicks off at Resort World Theatre in Las Vegas on September 30th.

That raven was really a scene stealer. I never saw that coming. And how promptly he drop it off in the glass and flew away like it's normal business. Very professional bird. I'd hire him.
Ravens are very professional actors lol - most famous - is Jimmy the raven appeared in more than 1,000 feature films from the 1930s to the 1950s.

Even watching David Blaine as a child for many years, his sleight-of-hand and misdirection is still unbelievably impressive to me. Definitely a master of his craft.

@@appamemes4927 the impressive part is tearing each bill the exact same way which isnt as easy as it sounds. It wasn't a straight line tear down the middle etc. It was an irregular random tear pattern.

"Oh, my God" are my sentiments exactly!!! There is absolutely no possible way to explain this kind of magic. David clearly burns the $100 bill. Question: What exactly did James drink? Then, David summons James' raven who flies in from James' back-stage room with the very same $100 bill and places it in the glass. Question: How did the raven get the $100 bill when we just saw it being burned and James drink the ashes mixed with water? If this demonstration of magic was never rehearsed, and the raven never trained, then this is absolutely some of the most mind-blowing magic that I have ever seen. Final question: How did David summon the raven without saying a word? This is an example of what seems to be truly magical powers . UNBELIEVABLE!!!
Someone puts the fake bill in James' wallet before the show (even he was surprised he had a $100 based on his reaction). The fake bill is pre-torn and adhesived together before being placed in the wallet (so they could align another bill with the fake bill in regards to the tear). Then someone obviously sends in the Raven with the real bill once the fake is burned.
This is also the reason why Blaine doesn't let him use any bill but the $100 when James offers.

REVEAL:💥 it is a different note (the first one had a sharp fold in it 2:04 from his wallet, the second was perfectly flat 6:43), David carefully tore it in a way practised many times (on cheap $1 notes) so piece would align with the new one. Had James (or a toddler) tore it and it still matched, THEN I'd be impressed

In other words, when James read the serial number at the beginning, he was careful to read the serial number on the right, otherwise the trick would have fallen apart. The two of them rehearsed the trick ahead of time. That's why the camera angle changes at the end when the raven appears. Both of these creeps are Luciferians who have taken the oath. James lied, saying it's "my raven" and that it "never leaves my dressing room", when it's actually David's raven. "David Blaine" (not his real name) is a Jewish con artist from New York. During the beginning of the skit, when cordon was giving him the bill, blaine always had his pinky and finger next to that closed, until he got the bill of course. Like 1:20 area. He had another bill tucked in and switched it extremely fast. Thats why he said “it’s going to LOOK like i burnt YOUR bill”.

I think David wasn’t expecting him to drink the water with the burned Bill. He was going to drink it himself and regurgitate it back to its normal condition which also would’ve fit the ripped part of the bill. The raven must’ve been a backup contingency if the trick went wrong or some other happenstance like James drinking it. James is a trooper ✊🏻
David drinking it himself was the contingency. The raven was too cool to be a contingency. When it looked like James wasn’t gonna do it, David was about to suggest he’d just drink it himself.

For legal reasons everything has to be rehearsed and planned in advance on these shows. So this is pretty much how it was always going to play out.

The original bill had creases and the new bill was flat. Different bill. However still very impressive. How did he get the torn piece to match? Spectacular! Definitely one of the greats!
James was an accomplice. Blaine gave him a specially prepared bill ahead of time with 2 serial numbers. David adhered the serial number corner onto a dummy bill and put the dummy bill with 2 serial numbers in James' wallet, and gave the rest of the "real" bill to the raven. In other words, when James read the serial number at the beginning, he was careful to read the serial number on the right, otherwise the trick would have fallen apart. He was playing along and following David's instructions. Both are Luciferians who have taken the oath.

@@shaneross9943right, but notice the serial number isn’t read out loud until after David has touched it. He has swapped the bill prior to it being read out. He swapped it with a bill that is a duplicate of the one the raven has and has a pre-disposed tear pattern.

They are matching serial numbers, in a sense. David gets a stack of sequential 100 bills. One that has an 8 and the other that has a 3 is removed. Then he sands the 8 to turn into a 3. Now you have duplicate bills. Notice most tricks that use matching serials always have a 3 in the serial.
@@EwokPanda Blane would. 100 isn't that much to him and it sells the effect. Duplicating the serials is easy and all he needs is someone in wardrobe to slip the bill in his wallet. James even looked surprised to see a 100 in there.

I think a more plausible presentation would have been if instead of having James drink the burnt bill, David scattered the ashes to the wind. Then, when the raven appears with the bill it could be inferred that somehow the windblown ashes were captured/reassembled by the raven. The scenario where the contents of the bill go into James's stomach is too much of a disconnect with a bird revelation.
That being said, this was still a very entertaining bit.

@@cryptojuicer I won't say how but it's not hard to remove and replace a serial number on a bill. It's a method inspired by Daniel Garcia which in turn was inspired by Paul Harris. Both are magicians Blaine has worked closely with behind the scenes. Without Harris there would probably be no David Blaine as we know him today.
