I was in my twenties when the movie came out, and I played it last night for my teenage daughters. For two hours, I did not think at all of what the world is going through, and it felt so good. Oh do I miss the 90’s.

Can't believe this movie is almost 30 years old already. It still looks like it could've been made yesterday. Fabulous effects work. Excellent stunt coordination. Incredible action set pieces. When it wants to be a comedy, it's the funniest comedy ever, and when it wants to be an action movie, it's the most action-packed flick EVER! Does both to perfection, and moves so seamlessly between them. Plus, Bill Paxton......what can I say.......best performance of his colorful career. I really miss him.
Sorry but the rock is the best action movie for me, but I do agree it has stood the test of time and I'm probably gonna order this on blu ray to watch at some point
a good friend was working on the simulator for the Harrier aircraft and Arnie showed up to play with it. I was like "he's making a movie using the aircraft! Get a job as a consultant. you can get close to Arnie more times". Did she even try? NO! I was pissed when the movie came and I was right!
True Lies is a classic! Great humor, awesome action and suspense. It's a shame it hasn't been released on Bluray yet. The DVD video quality is lackluster and the audio could use a remaster. 10/10 movie
@@lsg303 not much of a difference tho. I'm a collector and upgraded the majority of my collection to blu ray....a few of those were 4k and once l put in 4k versions l immediately brought my 4k player back. No difference.

1994? Bloody hell, I thought it was 2000 or more recent, but time does fly - This is a great film that can be watched again and again and never loses it's appeal. I was about 28 when this came out.
This was one of my favorite movies back when I was a little kid. I even loved playing the video game that was released for Sega Genesis and I still got that game. Brings back memories.
I remember I was maybe 6 years old and my uncle has gotten his first color tv and we watch it through the VCR. One of the happiest and most relaxed days of my life. Now that I am in my thirties I can't believe this movie was so good in 1994, like production and screenplay is top tier
One of my favorite Arnold movies. I read that Tom Arnold and others were working hard to get a sequel going and were close, but after 9/11 they felt it was just too sensitive to make another one.
wow back when i was around 7 years old in year 2000, i only had like 3 different movies to watch, and I literally watched this movie at LEAST 200 times throught my childhood, so many memories, Action movies today are NOTHING compared to these classics....
I love this movie. I laugh at all of the same jokes... EVERY TIME and that doesn't stop me from watching it again 10 minutes or 10 days or 10 weeks later.
Had an opportunity to meet Mr. Paxton while being the onset bodyguard for Ms. Curtis! What a wonderful person he was. Gave me $1000 in cash after the movie! Truly will be missed
The fuck are you talking about? Most action movies these days suck and 90s ones were generally so much better. Please compare the original Jurassic Park from 1993 to any of the crap that comes out nowadays.
Never seen it - it looks funny and fun. Love it when he says "Could you please move back" so he can shoot someone. And straight out admits to killing people "Yes but they were all bad". Feels like they got the tone just right - well it was James Cameron - he is a director who is just all over everything and can pull all the details together and keep big picture on track at the same time. He is commercial but he sure is a master of his style.
I've avoided watching this movie for about 14 years because I normally can't get past The Terminator, I mean, Arnold Schwarzenegger's robotic acting. I was glad, however, that I was finally convinced to give this one a shot. The special effects may be a bit over-the-top, but in my opinion, that's what action movies are all about. It's amazing how the visuals have stood up to the test of time. Jamie Lee Curtis is both funny and sexy and her catfight with Tia Carrere is a nice touch (wink).
Just watch it with my wife on netflix. Its make us laugh so hard . Thank you Arnold. His face when make the eye ball was legendd. Hahaha... By the way, the tango music is addict.
0:27 The speech between this dude and the POTUS was not in the movie. Although, he did mention the words president and white house while in the briefing room.
Wow, it's July 15, 2020, I had a hankering to watch a trailer for one of my favorite movies, and this coincidentally came out this same day in 1994. I did not plan this, but it's pleasing nonetheless :-)
Jamie Lee Curtis and Arnold Schwarzenegger were fantastic in this film by director James Cameron. It has a blend of comedy and suspense which made it flow perfectly.
