I saw that you had timestamps in your description and while I'm not sure if you wanted them to be chapters or not I figured I'd let you know that for chapters to work on a video over an hour long, you need to use an hh:mm:ss format for all of the timestamps (i.e. 00:00:00 for the first one, 00:01:11 for the second, etc). I wish i wouldnt have adhd.. i was hyperfocusing for a week and got 100h of factorio over the table.. sure, i've built some crazy stuff, at least i think so... But i should really start doing something about my adhd.. actually i should do anything about for like 6 years now.. i still have no job or finished something that would qualify for a thing.. I like programming, yeah, but after hyperfocusing 3 weaks on python, i lost my drive again, and whatever i tried, it's a complicated, unfinished mess.. i frickin want money, but it doesnt work.. i don't even know what questions i do need to follow to get those writings done. I don't wanna go 30 without getting my progress.. 2 years.. friends.. i would like to have some again too.. Well, at least the music is nice. A nice place to feel sad about stuff Edit: Yus, counts as 1up-ing. I guess i'm talking to our cat now- OMG pokemon XD!! I fuckin love that. Time to eat stuff. Hopefully

I wish they would till do that. i was young when many of these came out so I played them after their time, but recently they havent put as much into stories or music I feel. If I could change one thing it would 100% be how much effort they put into the stories and music again.
@@kreamkay2756 Na they wont do that because that's what they did with Black and White; they put a ton of effort into the story and music, and yet many people consider Black and White to be one of if not the worst pokemon game, and financially, nintendo considers it a flop.
The series has gone downhill since the 3ds era I felt. The peak of the series is at the gba era and diamond and pearl era. Black and white is also good but doesn't have that magical feeling like the previous titles do.
Growing up with Aspergers, I didn't have a lot of friends and playing Pokemon on my Nintendo 3DS was one of my main comforts. I would stay up many restless nights playing it and whenever I was lonely or bored I would play one of my Pokemon games on my 3DS. I'm a young adult now, and even though I don't play it as much, I still have the blue DS and the red 3DS and my 14 Pokemon games for them. Pokemon Diamond Version was my first ever Pokemon game and just listening to the music from it makes me cry and long for my childhood.
I, too, went through a similar situation, having aspergers myself. Pokemon was my comfort time growing up, and it's always so nice being able to listen to this music to remind me of those memories. I really took that time for granted...
Enjoy the time you have kids, I'm in uni doing homework atm and im just sobbing cos I can't. life is just so screwed up some times and I remember when it wasn't quite so, oh what was younger me doing? taking all that for granted? One day you wake up and youre an adult and yet you don't feel any older, and youre certainly not prepared to be any older and so it just hurts so much to know that once upon a time you were a kid and it was ok to do kid things and that now youre a kid donning an adult's clothes and bs'ing your way through university all the while sobbing thinking about playing Pokemon under the covers and getting excited when you find a legendary Pokemon or whatever. Pls dont take any of it for granted. Being a child is a wonderful gift and one that should be treasured.

Got my first real job while I was still in university not too long ago, I love to throw this on while I go through emails and office work as a reminder/ throwback to my younger years. That starting song always kills me, I was a gen 4 kid through and through and have so many memories of playing platinum and soul silver staying up late trying to complete the national dex. That feeling of nostalgia is insane. When I was little, I had dreams of being an actual pokemon master, amongst so many others. Hearing this music brings me right back to when I would be up late playing Diamond and Pearl with my brother, and thinking about all of these huge dreams. It reminds me that my dreams are still real, and although they might be a little different than when I was younger, this doesn't mean that they are any less exciting. Whatever dreams you had as a kid are still in you! And whatever dreams you have now are yours for the earning. Don't ever give up! Do what makes you happy, do what motivates the passion in your heart, and trust that no matter what happens the kid inside you will always be with you fueling your dreams.

I love that you included some tracks from mystery dungeon! I love listening to Pokemon music compilations and they all tend to only include music from the main series, but md (time and darkness in particular) have some of the most beautiful and nostalgic tracks imo

I finished my A-levels in spring of last year and now recently completed my apprenticeship as a skilled worker. Due to heavily occupied weeks and internships I had a lot less free time and vacations in the last three and a half years. When I felt extremely overwhelmed and stressed the Pokémon games and their music always calmed me down. Now that I have a lot of free time I started completing the National Dex‘s of all the Generations I can get my hands on ^^

Hello from 2024!! I remember staying up at night trying to beat unova's elite four with different monotype teams as a child. Now I'm just a week away from getting my bachelor's degree. Time goes by fast. Sometimes I wish I could go back but I don't want to erase all the progress I've made and undo my growth as a person. I don't want to go back, but I miss my younger years so much and wish I could relive these parts, where my focus was on being the very best, like no one ever was. Does that make sense? I know what you mean. I was teased at school and my childhood was tough due to various circumstances. I don't miss that time. Sometimes I miss the time when I could escape into the Pokemon world. There were brief moments of relief and focussing on the pixels called Pokemon that brought me joy. I don't want to go back to the sadness, the pain and the fear. The carefree feeling that Pokemon brought me is something I wish for back every now and then. Now I have to find that carefree attitude again as an adult - often it's just not within reach.
My dog (pip) had lymph node cancer. My parents said she was gonna get put down in 2 days. However i was home the next day and played games while opening every door in the house so pip could walk around freely. After coming upstairs to me playing my game she collapsed on the floor. I knew it was gonna end very soon so I took my pillow from my bed and put her on it. I took all my plushies and put them around her with a blanket on top. I decided to lay next to her with my own blanket and put on this compilation crying. After 5 minutes of playing this video she stood up, collapsed over and over. She wanted to live but her body just couldn't. I decided to call my mom and after 30 minutes me and my mom and brother went to the vet to put her down since I thought this would be the best decision. I buried my dog the same evening. The cancer spread too far. It still hurts me to have made the choice to put the dog down but it was for the best. Pip 13-7-2023. (14 years old) I will meet you when I die my best friend ❤
Why am i only get this recommended to me so late in augest but i missed the good old days coming home from school and turning on my DS to play pokemon HG, i am just shocked right now i use to hate going to school but now i miss it life is weird like that. Thanks RUclips for recommending me this in Augest of 2022 and right now i am replaying HG on my new modded 2DS as i lost my DS and my games for it rip my old DS.
You can say what you want about the Pokémon franchise, often they capitalise on our nostalgia. But damnit this music is just too good they pull it together again every game.

For Pokemon fans like me that were born in 2000-2001 this really hits with nostalgia, especially because there aren't themes from gens after the fifth (I'm not saying I don't like them, I just don't know them enough and I did not lived them enough to get emotional). as a 33 year old, every now and then i come back to listen Pokémon ost. it takes me back, 20 years ago I was an intens fan when it first aired in 1996, i also had Gameboy color (Pokémon Blue and my brother had Red, so we could trade and collect all 150 with a link cable) kids nowdays don't know the struggles haha with trading! Thanks for putting this togther. i still enjoy all the other versions of Pokémon after blue/red.
I cried listening to this today. Sometimes this music reminds me of how wonderful our world is. I want everyone to be able experience the wonder I felt first holding a gameboy with Pokemon Ruby Version as a 4 year old. It may not be the same game, or a game at all, but art... it makes people feel things. That's what it means to be human.

The thing is diamond and pearl are not replayable because they are sooo slow they get boring fast as an adult, those who got platinum are lucky its basically an upgrade on the game
i’m a pretty young kid with minimal stresses in life and definitely didn’t grow up in the generation of old pokémon but i still grew up, and continue to grow up with it so listening to this music always relaxes me and puts me in a great mood :]

I'm grateful to videos like this. The days where we could feel as we did as children are long behind us. But that doesn't mean we can't feel that way again. Sitting here and listening to these songs brings back those feelings. And I'm thankful for that.

Never really played pokemon much growing up, but my brother was an avid fan, I can't quite recall it he would play much with anyone else, either way, still brings back feelings I can't quite place a finger on, and visions of different, simpler, if you will, times bygone.
Absolutely amazing mix. Brought back so many memories of growing up through the years. Late 90’s baby and started in Johto in 2000 while continuing to play ever since.
When i first left my hometown for university, i felt in a really dark place. Didn't have friends. Didn't have family. Didn't know the place, nor the subject i was studying actually because it had lots of heavy math involved. I had to succeed too cause otherwise, well, i was screwed. I resolved to use these kind of comps in background when staying at home (I lived alone) and remembering those days with gameboy or DS deeply helped me out. I used to imagine a background song for every scenario i met: my house, the garden outside, road to university, the market and so on. Every place with its own pokemon song. Every place with its own piece of memory attached. It made me feel more relaxed and, in the long term, it helped out lighting that darkness. I'm designing my own project for the thesis to get the degree atm. I'm grateful to whoever uploaded those comps back in the day, I didn't thank them properly. Now thank you for uploading this, thanks to those who (probably) saved my life back then.
Pokémon is one of the best things of my childhood. I'll never get over it, the feeling of having adventures, freedom, the beautiful music, I just didn't know what I had until I lost it.
When I first got Pearl and heard the beginning of the Pokémon Lab theme I was in awe. It felt like I was give an important life changing task, that a journey would begin now, and boy what a long journey it was. Took me a while to finish this game and playing Platinum after that as well was one heck of a ride. I think I will be replaying Platinum soon again :)
Great mix of the different generations...the first track hit me in the heart like a bag of bricks....I first played Diamond in 2007 as a 6th grader....brought back all the memories of putting in hours in diamond...I do at times miss the old days of immersing myself into diamond and HG with no worries....

The series has gone downhill since the 3ds era I felt. The peak of the series is at the gba era and diamond and pearl era. Black and white is also good but doesn't have that magical feeling like the previous titles do.
Growing up with Aspergers, I didn't have a lot of friends and playing Pokemon on my Nintendo 3DS was one of my main comforts. I would stay up many restless nights playing it and whenever I was lonely or bored I would play one of my Pokemon games on my 3DS. I'm a young adult now, and even though I don't play it as much, I still have the blue DS and the red 3DS and my 14 Pokemon games for them. Pokemon Diamond Version was my first ever Pokemon game and just listening to the music from it makes me cry and long for my childhood.
I, too, went through a similar situation, having aspergers myself. Pokemon was my comfort time growing up, and it's always so nice being able to listen to this music to remind me of those memories. I really took that time for granted...
Starting with Professor Rowan's theme made me cry. As a 00s baby, Gen IV - V was my childhood. Thank you for the wonderful video.

Enjoy the time you have kids, I'm in uni doing homework atm and im just sobbing cos I can't. life is just so screwed up some times and I remember when it wasn't quite so, oh what was younger me doing? taking all that for granted? One day you wake up and youre an adult and yet you don't feel any older, and youre certainly not prepared to be any older and so it just hurts so much to know that once upon a time you were a kid and it was ok to do kid things and that now youre a kid donning an adult's clothes and bs'ing your way through university all the while sobbing thinking about playing Pokemon under the covers and getting excited when you find a legendary Pokemon or whatever.
Pls dont take any of it for granted. Being a child is a wonderful gift and one that should be treasured.

Got my first real job while I was still in university not too long ago, I love to throw this on while I go through emails and office work as a reminder/ throwback to my younger years. That starting song always kills me, I was a gen 4 kid through and through and have so many memories of playing platinum and soul silver staying up late trying to complete the national dex. That feeling of nostalgia is insane. When I was little, I had dreams of being an actual pokemon master, amongst so many others. Hearing this music brings me right back to when I would be up late playing Diamond and Pearl with my brother, and thinking about all of these huge dreams. It reminds me that my dreams are still real, and although they might be a little different than when I was younger, this doesn't mean that they are any less exciting. Whatever dreams you had as a kid are still in you! And whatever dreams you have now are yours for the earning. Don't ever give up! Do what makes you happy, do what motivates the passion in your heart, and trust that no matter what happens the kid inside you will always be with you fueling your dreams.

I finished my A-levels in spring of last year and now recently completed my apprenticeship as a skilled worker. Due to heavily occupied weeks and internships I had a lot less free time and vacations in the last three and a half years. When I felt extremely overwhelmed and stressed the Pokémon games and their music always calmed me down. Now that I have a lot of free time I started completing the National Dex‘s of all the Generations I can get my hands on ^^

Hello from 2024!! I remember staying up at night trying to beat unova's elite four with different monotype teams as a child. Now I'm just a week away from getting my bachelor's degree. Time goes by fast. Sometimes I wish I could go back but I don't want to erase all the progress I've made and undo my growth as a person. I don't want to go back, but I miss my younger years so much and wish I could relive these parts, where my focus was on being the very best, like no one ever was. Does that make sense? Sometimes I miss the time when I could escape into the Pokemon world. There were brief moments of relief and focussing on the pixels called Pokemon that brought me joy.
I don't want to go back to the sadness, the pain and the fear.
The carefree feeling that Pokemon brought me is something I wish for back every now and then.
Now I have to find that carefree attitude again as an adult - often it's just not within reach.

My dog (pip) had lymph node cancer. My parents said she was gonna get put down in 2 days. However i was home the next day and played games while opening every door in the house so pip could walk around freely. After coming upstairs to me playing my game she collapsed on the floor. I knew it was gonna end very soon so I took my pillow from my bed and put her on it. I took all my plushies and put them around her with a blanket on top. I decided to lay next to her with my own blanket and put on this compilation crying. After 5 minutes of playing this video she stood up, collapsed over and over. She wanted to live but her body just couldn't. I decided to call my mom and after 30 minutes me and my mom and brother went to the vet to put her down since I thought this would be the best decision. I buried my dog the same evening. The cancer spread too far. It still hurts me to have made the choice to put the dog down but it was for the best.

I was an intens fan when it first aired in 1996, i also had Gameboy color (Pokémon Blue and my brother had Red, so we could trade and collect all 150 with a link cable) kids nowdays don't know the struggles haha with trading!

I want everyone to be able experience the wonder I felt first holding a gameboy with Pokemon Ruby Version as a 4 year old. I've seen millions of pokemon playlists, none are like this one, I don't know what it is about it that makes it super special
When i first left my hometown for university, i felt in a really dark place.
Didn't have friends.
Didn't have family.
Didn't know the place, nor the subject i was studying actually because it had lots of heavy math involved.
I had to succeed too cause otherwise, well, i was screwed.
I resolved to use these kind of comps in background when staying at home (I lived alone) and remembering those days with gameboy or DS deeply helped me out.
I used to imagine a background song for every scenario i met: my house, the garden outside, road to university, the market and so on.
Every place with its own pokemon song.
Every place with its own piece of memory attached.
It made me feel more relaxed and, in the long term, it helped out lighting that darkness.
I'm designing my own project for the thesis to get the degree atm.
I'm grateful to whoever uploaded those comps back in the day, I didn't thank them properly.
Now thank you for uploading this, thanks to those who (probably) saved my life back then.

Pokémon is one of the best things of my childhood. I'll never get over it, the feeling of having adventures, freedom, the beautiful music, I just didn't know what I had until I lost it.
When I first got Pearl and heard the beginning of the Pokémon Lab theme I was in awe. It felt like I was give an important life changing task, that a journey would begin now, and boy what a long journey it was. Took me a while to finish this game and playing Platinum after that as well was one heck of a ride. I think I will be replaying Platinum soon again :)
Great mix of the different generations...the first track hit me in the heart like a bag of bricks....I first played Diamond in 2007 as a 6th grader....brought back all the memories of putting in hours in diamond...I do at times miss the old days of immersing myself into diamond and HG with no worries....
