- This was filmed using the #GoProHERO11 in 5.3k in 4/3. The camera was mounted to my wrist and the footage is raw no color correction. This was filmed over the Khufu pyramid on the Giza Plateau in Egypt. @GoPro #travel #egypt #greatpyramid

Wow!! Dude you get to fly like a bird, something 99.99% of people can just dream of. I'm 57 years old is it to late for me to wing suit. I've got to do this!! 🤘
If you don't have osteoporosis I'd say go for it! Just start small, set small targets. Just aim to complete your AFF first knowing that you may not stand up most of your landings.
Its not too late. Many people 70+ are still skydiving and if you have fun in the process its easy to get to 200 jumps in a few years and start wingsuiting

Listened to you on Andy’s podcast and I must say…you were his most interesting guest in a while. You inspired me to get out of the house and start doing activities that get the adrenaline going and make me feel alive again. However, I’ll save the wing suiting for crazy bastards like yourself 😆
whoa, that was a low opening. perspective is everything, but damn, I'm guessing less than 100 m / 328 ft. What was your altitude AGL? What's the lowest you'll plan on for this type of jump vs something with no horizontal velocity? This one strikes me as being near that lowest planned limit.
I deployed at about 200ft
@@jebcorliss I can't even. My only experience is in the Army, static line. I had some exits at about 400 ft, which by the time the chute deploys is close to that. Opening shock, prepare to land, and land. No time to lower equipment etc. Doing it that low where you have to deploy, gain control, and land. Full respect.
I'm really curious, how do you gage the altitude when you fly a wingsuit?
I know exactly how tall the pyramid is and use it as a guide 👍🏻

@@LandersWorkshop exactly my point. Egypt is *super* strict with who they let anywhere near the pyramids. They wouldn't even let a guy take pictures of it with a specific type of camera.
Did it feel as dumb close call as it looked or was it tolerable?
This one wasn’t that close. I hit turbulence as I was coming to the pyramid so I kept a safe distance probably somewhere between 10 to 20ft. But Khafre I was much closer maybe 3 to 5ft 👍🏻
@@jebcorliss Did you have permission from the Egyptian Government to fly that close to it? If you hit it, you could knock out rocks which fall and kill or Injure innocent people on the ground or you leave a trail of blood and body parts on the Pyramid.
