How to Unlock the Fuel Tank Door Manually in AUDI | VW| Skoda| Seat| |DIY|

This video is a quick tip that you can use to unlock your fuel tank door manually if the central locking system failed. You got to press the fuel tank door to open it and it is controlled by the central locking system. Sometimes due to a small malfunction the fuel tank door will not be opened.
This video will help you to use the alternative method that is given by the Audi. The similar method will apply in almost all the Volkswagen group vehicles.

In my case, the spring mechanism seems to be loose. It unlocks/locks perfectly but when it is locked, it has some play but is locked

I find the red cable but still not work. My fuel door a bit tifferent never opened by pressing the door itself just by pressing the button in the driver door. The dash sign is ok nothing warning come on and saying that I can refuel now after I press the button. What an annoying thing this is...I have a A3 etron 2015 Thankfully I can still run in town on battery but can not go further right now. Any advice please for me?

@@rpurnell7239 Yeah....we got to the dealership and they replaced the whole mechanism...it was pretty expensive for such a tiny fix....around 100$.
