I’m betting this goes to a old truck type camper lid.

Very Instructional, I enjoy watching these types of videos along with your shop ones…gives me a lot of ideas on how and where to place crap in my work area. I had stepped away from the business for a couple years and just getting back into the swing of things and realized how much I missed it….I have my Lishi cutter coming and just received the SC4 Lishi pick. Really like the pick and can’t wait till I can use the cutter when it comes in.

    Hi Jason.
    Hi Kim
    Bye Kim
    Hi again Kim
    Sneeky little sucker's them wafers.
Thanks for taking away the mystery of wafer locks.
T handles are used a lot for up and over garage doors here in the UK.
Great to see a video on this type of lock.
Thanks for taking the time to do this.

I have a wafer kit to rekey my window locks that were all different. Nice video, well explained tutorial. They seem quite fiddly, you have good precision, eyesight and memory.... apart from losing a wafer. Hi Kim. 🤓✌

Those clippers definitely come in handy. Great point about impressioning and possibly not knowing about that last wafer. That’s easy to miss. Thanks for sharing.
    Btw Hi Kim!✌🏼🙏🏼

I like to use the ES8 blank when the Y11 fits tight. Same milling profile but it’s thinner

I've only seen one locksmith use a tool like that Lishi cutter. Back in 1998 sometime, I locked my keys in the truck, hanging in the ignition, and it used a separate door key. 80s Chevy truck. He grabbed a blank, read the cuts from the key, and cut a new one first try. He was a friend of the family so it didn't even cost us anything. It was pretty damn cool to a 17 yr old lol

JC and we all did that without a camera phone to zoom in on the key! :) I’ve pulled that stunt off a number of times even on 10 cut GM and 8 cut fords when Keys were laying on seat.
Decoding Keys by sight is probably my favorite fun “skill” When we ran GM roadside I could decode a GM10 from half a mile away, through a hill!

I have an ilco wafer keying set. The wafers are not marked. You have to use a caliper or the profile printed on inside of lid to gauge (in case they get mixed up). By the way, ilco calls the wafer springs "disc tumbler springs", but the wafers - wafers. Go figure?

Thought you would have some FR2/L1054G blanks, longer Y11's. Also 1562's, longer Y13's. Like your videos, real world.

Bill in Phoenix FR2 wouldn’t go in for some reason, at the beginning of the video it’s right there at the top. I’ve noticed that before with them on certain locks! Thanks for watching!
