It may not be their best song but it has their best moment of all their songs in my opinion. That- You are my sunny day rain , you are the clouds in the sky , you’re the darkest sky, but ..” is magical and so intense in a monotone way
He sort of looks like Frank Burns from MASH now. Seriously this band is mind blowing live, I saw them in 92 with Spiritualized and Curve opening for them when they played Boston. It was sweaty, loud and dirty. People were hanging from the ceiling. The music was unbelievable. It was a great night that also started my love for Spiritualized.
@apocalypsegirl666 You don't have to dance to love the music, sometimes you listen and stare into space. Music moves people not just physically but mentally.
@danccaddy - I'm just sayin' that it doesn't look like people were really appreciating the scene. I dance all the time at shows for myself and b/c the music moves me, not for any cameras, that's not the point. But, I see your point that maybe some people don't dance. It just doesn't look like a lot of those folks were even listening or caring that they were seeing JAMC right then.
@apocalypsegirl666 I agree with you. Ok some people can appreciate music just listening to it, but when you're listening to your favorite band live, even if you usually don't move, you dance, you sing... that's different during a real show. Here the crowd is very quite, except 2 or 3 people who are headbanging... I don't mean "quite" because they're just listening to the music, but they seem to be "quite" because they don't care of what's going on. It must be very boring for the band too... =/
@apocalypsegirl666 Why do you keep talking aboyt 'the scene'? It's some kind of abstract concept that you could imply to any situation. Some people dance to music other people soak it in gradually and appreciate the nuances of sound. One of the defining characteristics of JAMC were the nuances generated by the distortion and feedback generated within the simple yet effective chord progressions. These nuances are unique to each performance so maybe people who realised this were to busy listening.
don't know if this has to do with the crowds nationality...i'm scandinavian and i've seen some freakin naughty stuff around..i'm pretty sure most of you wouldn't wanna end up on a underground black metal show somewhere around here..you'd get you your ass pretty much ripped apart!!! weeeyy..otherwise i don't see any other way i would like to enjoy this show rather than just chill around dancing..rock on scandinavia wööh :)

Poor and lifeless - Compared to their great version from the late Eighties.
