30 years later and Jim Reid still makes me feel butterflies in my stomach like a giddy school girl with my first high school crush. He is still positively mesmerizing.
I watched them in manchester uk last week and they were fuckin awesome. So much better than any shite in the charts nowadays and we're talking 35 years down the line
hes singing out of key sometimes.. i dont think he can hear himself sumtimes.. foldback might be shit.. yes im a musician and i know it happens sumtimes
of course I wasn't crucifying you, I like that cover as well.. it really kicks musically, love the punky element they added. it's the vocals I'm not too alright with, Black Francis has a great voice but that doesn't work too much on this imho ;-) Jim all the way
I would honestly love to further understand your comments...as I witnessed JMC at the second Lollapalooza,in Toronto...and they were awesome...very no nonsense...basically,hit the stage...picked up instruments...and played...Jim offered no witty intros...song ends....feedback...song begins... let me just say....it was very obvious that they were all pretty drunk....and just going to work...and,they delivered...on auto pilot...no type of stage show...just the music. It was so much more than enough...but this is not horrible....they were sober and caring...goth is allowed to soften over decades....Y'know?
He has a point, this is a pretty dull performance for those of us who saw them in their heyday. The director of this clip seems to be determined not to put the camera on William and seeing how fat Wiliam has become I suppose he 's trying to be kind. See what booze does to you kids? Just say no.

Your taste in music is world class.
You cant say a bad thing about the only song covered by the Pixies on a full length album. Respect.
“Cecilia Ann” was a cover too.
Pixes done it pretty well
Hypnotized

One the most important bands of the 90ies. Period.

Holy shit is that Loz from Ride!?
Yes
Nae there best performance.fit key you in Jim.
Também sou continuação de Jesus Cristo.
Aye, it's Loz
2:34 I think this chick is footage from a Slipknot show that they just used as stock footage.
Solo superado por Honey, este video me salvo de la depresión por la perdida de Argentina en el Mundial 2010
Are you happy now?

black francis cant sing
What a wonderful girl at 3:01 - 3:04. It seems to be norwegian, of course. Brazilian pain. =[
she's the girl of my life...but she don't knows...:-(
I like them even more for gutting it out. festival gigs are a different animal anyway
Nice. Better than at Coachella.
@Patan1968 làstima amigo, la aficiòn argentina no merecìa todo esto.. pero vamos que la barra quilombera no le deja no le deja de alentar ;-)
Taylor Hicks on the Rickey!!!
Something about Scottish boys..yummy
''Stop, different keys''. ''OK'', same different keys. He's taking the piss, or I've had too much Buckfast
Aply directly to the forehead
i only saw adults...
Just downright horrible - love them forever for all they gave me but this is sad to listen and watch.

@@honeyberkana673 He's talking about THIS performance - Not when you saw them at Lollapalooza.
Why dont you join the band and fix it then
don't like this band but this performance sounds exactly like the recording lmao
A banda matou a música .parece que não sabem tocar
Com esse som horroroso é difícil sair bonito...
Som de palco. É sempre mau. Este não é o som que o público ouve
The most boring crowd ever. You guys beat Japan
Sounds like one of the guitarists accidentally tuned to something other than 440... It happens.
Pixies covered and did a better job with it, in my opinion. Black Francis sang the hell out of this tune.
BULLSHIT, someone in pain wrote this in their shit bedroom. A cover is ego
@@raelene101 bollocks. Pixies far superior, this is dirge, pixies another 100 levels above
This is fucking horrible. they were great back in the day.
Not close to Westerberg talent.
yeah :p and thats why they should never reunite :)
I have mad respect for J & M Chain, dont get me wrong. I just think the Pixies owned it. Great song nonetheless.
How can you own something from someone elses mind?
