    I thought my epilepsy was gone, but it wasn't. My epilepsy has decreased with age, but i still have to take a low dose medication to stay stable. I have JME and my late teens and twenties were the hardest period. Now at 43 i rarely have problems as long as i keep taking my med, and my dose is very low now.

    I’m looking for answers about my epilepsy and have watched many of your RUclips posts. I am a 49 year old female. I’ve been having different types of seizures since I was 17 years old …Grandmal, petitemal & catamenial. Auras have changed over the years, however, for the last 10+ years, I sneeze 3 times then have the seizure. Oddly to me I have even heard family members sneeze and it resulted in me having a seizure! I’ve met 1 other woman that’s experienced this. I contacted you because every doctor that I’ve mentioned this to doesn’t seem very interested in the connection. I just wanted to know your thoughts on this. I also wanted to thank you for your helpful videos!

    My epilepsy started in December 1979 when I was 15 months old and still has not stopped or been controlled and is categorised as refractory, I’ll be going to Monash University In Melbourne, Victoria next month to test out in a trial, a new anti seizure drug called Selenium and we’ll see if it can control my seizures that I’ve had for just under 44 years now.

    my 42 yr old daughter who is mentally slow age 12.
    Started seizures at 22, generalized tonic-clonic. Dr at Vanderbilt says there is nothing they can do for her. She has tried many medications that had horrible side effects and she became scared after they put her on Prozac and she tried to kill me with a knife in my bedroom..
    She is on Dilatin 100mg 3x day. 30 MG 1x day, and oxcarbizpine 300mg 4x day. which was not helping so I am slowly reducing, Down to 450 away. She has fallen do much and been hurt. Right recovering from breaking leg in 3 places with rod inserted.

    hi, I got epilepsy from a vaccine when I was little, then I had a seizure, they punctured my spine, I left the hospital, they told him that it would happen again, when I turned 18, I had a seizure and since then I suffered until 2011, I left to the operation, the operation was successful and after 2 years, the doctor told me that I can drive in 2017, mine said that I can stop taking the tablets, I was afraid until now, which means that I drink and 13 years after the operation that I did, my epilepsy was called temporal lobe epilepsy from the day of the operation I didn't have seizures, but I was afraid to stop the pills and now I'm tired of them, I drink tegretol 300 mg in the morning and 300 mg in the evening and now I started to stop it, it's been 7 days, is it safe since my Neurology said that there won't be any more attacks and gave my paper how can i stop in 12 weeks thanks in advance

    False, I’ve had epilepsy since I was a year old I’m 36 now, so the chances of outgrowing epilepsy is practically nonexistent

    • @SOSULLI
      @SOSULLI 8 месяцев назад +3

      That's simply not true whatsoever. 66% of children outgrow it by the time they are teenagers. You can however not be 100% they will never have a seizure ever again in their life. There are cases of someone outgrowing it, being seizure-free since their childhood and then having a seizure when they're 30 or 50. That does not mean that every one of them is simply waiting to have a seizure again. Most have outgrown their epilepsy and will never have a seizure again. Some might have epilepsy, but will never experience a seizure. And there are cases of people that may seem epilepsy-free suddenly experience a seizure 10 or 30 years later.

      Just cause it didn't work for you don't make it not true. Hell it even supports the video even more. The dude said it was based off of a special magic humans use we call it "PERCENTAGE"... long story short you have no idea what your talking about and are clearly undereducated in this topic. Your lack of understanding proves this. Coming from someone else with epilepsy. Spent quite a bit of time in Vanderbilt myself

    Treatment is all life as is chronic disease and electricity is all the time in people brain especially with people with epilepsy that is more "active".

    • @SOSULLI
      @SOSULLI 8 месяцев назад +1

      The only thing you're forgetting to mention is, yes it is the brain and it develops immensely through your life. So there are other diseases you can outgrow, your disease can change and it's very susceptible to outside stimuli.
      So my epilepsy went from 5 years of tonic clonic seizures ONLY during the day to 5 years of ONLY seizures during the day. Whatever medication I used to take, now take or changed or experimented with, it all doesn't matter. My brain simply changed completely with its epilepsy.

    youtalk a lot about people who have epilepsy but, I thought you also talk about people that suffer FND? I have FND but I have fake strokes and don't have epilepsy. I am normally paralized from the head to my feet and usually happens in stressful medical/trauma situations or surgeries. I have no control and just happens then I no longer can speak or move and because last so long I have to stay in the hospital. Each event last for 9-15 hours or longer. The sad thing I can hear, see and feel everything happens. Is it possible you can talk about FND more why some people have stroke like system and not epilepsy.
