I happily remember the first time I saw Godzilla I had just turned 4 years old I fell in love with the franchise my mother was a huge Godzilla fan and introduced me to it. I'm starting to feel like a kid all over again. I just wish she was still here to see this movie too.
Shin Godzilla shooting another laser from his tail was redundant and kind of felt silly to me. But a charged plate/axe thing for his tail is a great addition!
I feel like the “God Axe” is just his dorsal plates charging up for the atomic breath and his tale dorsal plates are the only ones that really grow in the process.
This Godzilla looks very similar to the Heisei era particularly from Godzilla vs Biollante 1989 and Godzilla vs King Ghidorah 1991. His eyes resemble Shin's it just looks awesome and menacing.
I feel like the “god axe” 3:28 is simply just how Godzilla’s dorsal plates react to Godzilla charging up his atomic because when he is all charged up 4:14 you catch a glimpse of his tail in which all the dorsal plates on it have been raised
I have 2 theorys as to what that smoke is. Either a firestorm or its Mount Fuji erupting. Its too dark to be an atom bombs resulting mushroom cloud and its coloration resembles a ash cloud quite a bit. Typically atomic blasts have a white/brownish color to them after the fireball dissipates while this is a dark grey color you see from volcanic ash
The "god axe" appears to just be Godzilla evolving after the nuclear blast. The two godzilla theory has revealed images of a second Godzilla with smoother skin, less threatening face and two giant fins on its back like a killer whales dorsal fins. But after getting nuked he evolves into the spikey, crispy skined version we know and love.
The only thing I don't like so far is that blue they used for his plates. Its just too much contrast for the rest of the color scheme. It looks too much like MV coloration too. Sure, MV got their color originally from Toho Godzilla movies, but still, most people don't know that. I wish, they would have gone with a more subtle glow, especially since Shin was so over the top.

@@andrewhaddow7843 It's because most people today want Godzilla to be bigger in size. And the way you look at the size of a human being or that matter the size of a vehicle like a truck or a tank next to his foot and you wish Godzilla was a bit more larger than that.

You can tell TOHO clearly took inspiration from MV's Godzilla and I'm here for it!
The director is a MV fan as far as im concerned
This movie looks clearly superior to MV movies IMHO

If the movie is only 15 millions, this needs to be nominated to best special effects.

I'm super excited about this movie! Can't wait to see it! ^_^
Seeing the face that Godzilla has when swimming after that boat, makes me want to stay out of the water.
Godzilla is always exciting
Thank you for this update. Do you know if the USA release will be subtitled or dubbed in English?

I think its another godzilla coming out
I find it scary as fuck seeing godzilla swimming towards a ship up close and personal 😳 😨😨
Hey mindq I don't think Godzilla will have a Kong axetale I think it's Justin regrowing a dorsal plate or shedding a dorsal
I was already excited when the first trailer said December, but then realized that’s for outside of Japan. So happy it’s coming out here so soon!
I love this design but… Why can Toho only make small Godzilla’s? After 2017, they gave up on big Godzilla’s.
Mega huge godzilla is played out.
This movie will be a spiritual remake of the original
remember that 2014 Godzilla have 160m usd budget, 10x more then this one, while Shin Godzilla in 2016 is 10m usd

5:31 also, I'll be shitting myself if GMAN look straight at me like that

Is it me, or does the tip of tail look like his face, any way I can not wait to see him destroy, destroy and more destruction!!!😂😂
$15 million? How? Seriously! This seems virtually impossible these days.
So this Godzilla is 50.1 meters tall? Not bad
So, roughly 150 ft tall.....
I still can’t believe that Pokémon fans say Godzilla is a Pokémon clone
I hope that's not actually real. That's the stupidest thing I've heard this week probably.
What does it have to do with it?pokemon

what can we expect these days from a Movie with a $ 15 mill. budget ?
Apparently way better than $250 Million MCU ones 😂
