If I'm m being completely honest, I pretty much only bought a ticket to see them because of Shadow of Intent, but I've been becoming convinced that I'll be very glad I got to see Fleshgod live as well
@@TheAlex4019 Disembodied Tyrant was another big reason I bought the ticket. I've seen ingested before with Lorna Shore, and I've never really been into them
270 bpm ? its insane but you totally blew my brains with morphine waltz, 290 bpm if i remember correctly ?? anyway youre crazy man, you totally had big shoes to fill, but you nailed it ,i cant think a better drummer to play Fleshgod songs.
@@SinathorProductions I personally find it "fun." Even feel like 'Per Aspera Ad Astra' would slot in perfectly on Labyrinth. They definitely still got it. Just "having some fun" themselves. Fits considering they're down 2 members, and the head of the beast had a life changing experience.
@@MaddJakd Nah, the orchestration of Opera is nowhere near Labyrinth(Except "Morphine Waltz"). "Per Aspera Ad Astra'" has that kind of feel but that's it.
Damn, Eugene is as fiery as ever... I would really like to see the studio session of the Morphine Waltz song, specifically the damn machine gun fire section at 2:02 - 2:22, it's monstrous...
Technically he is only using push-pull when he blasts with his right hand, like at 0:42. The arm motion thing he does with his left arm isn't push-pull, he's still using his fingers.
Usually, they do single takes called tracking (references) for each songs then they cut the song into parts to do more precise recording and also make production choices and tweaks.
I've noticed with a few metal drummers that when they do fast double bass rolls, they'll swing their heels back and forth a bit. Is this a fatigue prevention method or something else?
I suggest, you mean the heel toe technique. It's a pretty common and efficient doublebase technique for fast tempos , more and more drummers use nowadays, because you get two hits with one "stroke".
@@mark7166 i dont actually think thats what you meant in the original question. whats been explained here is the technique that (to the untrained eye) makes it look like the bass drum is played twice as fast as the movement would suggest. 0:46 is a good example of heel-toe double strokes I assume by "heels swinging back and forth" you mean the movement at 1:46. This technique is called swivel. the movement relies on single strokes produced by ankle movement, and the namesake swivelling allows one side of the calf to rest while the other does the work, among other benefits. Many drummers use it with slight variation of technique for various reasons, like higher maximum speed, fatigue prevention or easier counting of strokes played.
Good job but I would've thought the blast beats would've extended to ride and hi-hat vs single strokes 😥 I always get the "it's easier for other musicians live" reason for this but since this is the studio, blast awaaayyyy!

Flesh gold is fucking incredible. You’ll love it

And if you think about it, on the main drum part, his snare hand is going about 540 bpm
I've waited for exactly this one.
those stops in the middle of the blast beats are so good dude
So clean! Beautiful execution.
Not only is the drumming exceptional
So is your tuning🥹
In one word....Amazing
You're blast beats Are so fresh
saw you last night,ur amazing Eugene!!
Incredible precision, banger track.
Setting the bar so high with speed, power, precision and complexity. The recording is also perfectly dialed in. I've been waiting for this one.
Eugene! One of my favorite drummers ever! Such a great track.
Saw them live font row. EPIC!
You are a living machine, my dude. Mad props 🫶🏻
Dude thats clean as hell!
Brutal brilliance!
Absolute machine, I was winded just watching this.
The album is alright, but King, Labyrinth, and Agony are god tier albums
The Holy Trinity indeed
Was pretty disappointed with Opera. It's not *bad*, but it's nowhere near those albums. Or even Veleno.

Очень круто сыграно!! Заметил, что ты стал сидеть гораздо ниже чем раньше, с чем обусловлено это, с тем что стал больше использовать хилтое?

Uhhhhhh quindi (270 bpm) piedi in ottavi e gravity blast sul rullante! Pensavo un blast beat classico con piedi (heel toe) in 16esimi. Geniale!
Trrrrrrrrr trrrrrrrr dup trrrrrrrrr.. Gud job bro 💪💪💪💪💪
it would be nice to see other guys too. like guitars and stuff.
...A double pedal with two bass drums...?
Also, so efficient.
Double kicks are for aesthetics. Double pedals to capture consistent tone and micing of a single kick

man that blast technique is surgical

See you guys September 28 at the house of blues North Myrtle Beach SC!

Derek Roddick on steroïds.
I would prefer to hear a natural snare drum, not a sample replacement.
all those wasted years by metallica without drummmer.....
When you gonna get a real bass drum and stop that tappy trigger setup. Quit skipping leg day.
Not a fan of the sample replaced snare drum. Every hit sounds the same, even during the blasts. Zero dynamics.
Awful triggered snare sound tbh. So machinegun-y. Amazing playing though.
