I did a course with Will Ramos and Chris Liepe where you can learn how to create harsh vocal sounds yourself! Check it here: www.mymusicalvoice.com/p/ultimate-extreme-will-ramos
I don't know if you did the full version of the Nightwish style song yet, but all of us are begging Nik for it. And we NEED you to sing it! Your vocals were amazing in the short.
I saw them play this one live; the introduced it by saying, "If you don't like this song, you're a f**ing fool." Then the harpsichord hit and the crowd went nuts
I love how thanks to Ramos, suddenly someone finally reacts to some of the best bands out there that basically never get any reaction on youtube. Makes me appreciate him so much more.
I'm sorry but there's no best anything when it comes to death metal it's just noise and screaming , it's what I'd imagine the devil uses to torture souls in hell . Thank god I never heard this shite before and I never want to hear it again
I recently watched Will's video of just vocals on Immortal and he says something like "No problem" in between some harsh vocals. Like yeah, anyone can do that, Will lmao.

Ah Yes! Fleshgod Apocalypse, saw them open for a show years ago and hadn't heard of them at the time. As soon as Veronica came on the stage I was sucked in and have been a fan ever since. This band is amazing!
@@Werewolf914 I've seen them live around five or six times over the years; they never disappoint and they tour a LOT! When you get a chance, definitely go see them!
Elizabeth and Will elevating the listening experience once again! This analysis was fun. Will put Fleshgod Apocalypse on my radar a long time ago. He has never led me astray. I love his appreciation for epic symphonic melodies and vocalists with different capabilities than himself. He is a fan first and a musician second which is what makes him so down to earth and relatable. Really enjoy how Elizabeth sprinkles in all the knowledge for the vocal nuances/instrumentation she hears and Will is like, “I never noticed that!” This is why I love listening to music with people who truly appreciate it and when I can’t find that in my friends, I come here to watch Elizabeth and Will enjoy the same music I do. Thank you again for a very entertaining and informative video!
Will just gave the best explanation I’ve ever heard on the difference between deathmetal and deathcore. He really has the best personality ever, I love these two together being so different, yet sharing an extreme love for music. ❤
Seemed pretty simplistic. For one, the cookie monster vocal they referenced at the beginning is definitely more of a death metal thing. Actually, being a vocalist himself I'm surprised he didn't mention some of the common vocal motifs of deathcore. It tends to push as many weird sounds or styles together as possible whereas death metal tends to stick to more of a strong growl. And yes... break downs are certainly a part of any music derived from hardcore but death metal has slams which are essentially the same thing just a little less percussive and staccato. Anyone who claims to dislike deathcore due to breakdowns but digs death metal without addressing slams is kind of hypocritical. There are certainly many other subtleties to differentiate these sub genres but I think it's sort of been the cool thing to shit on deathcore since a year after that scene exploded. It's been dead for like 15 years so I think at this point we can look at who's left and say, yeah these are probably the best of the best, and rather than spend time generalizing about the genre use the words for what they were meant for in the first place. A way to describe the style. Unfortunately, it still causes a great deal of confusion and resentment, even if someone hasn't given a particular band an honest listen.
I'd also recommend Cold as Perfection and Prologue/Epilogue for Veronica's amazing parts, and because you're an opera singer, you'd have some HEAVY things to say about our Monnalisa :D
I can't even tell you how excited I am right now, not only do we have Will Ramos back for another video but Fleshgod Apocalypse is my 4th favorite band and no one really ever talks about them unless it's like a Drumming Reaction to Francescos insane drums.
If you like Fleshgod Apocalypse you need to hear Septicflesh. They're another awesome symphonic death metal band Also they did a live show a few years back with a full orchestra and it's so epic. The Vampire From Nazareth would be a good one to start with
Do they have any more riff based songs? I've been trying to get into them for a long time but it seems like all the songs I try (including this), while being great in other aspects, just have overly simplistic riffs that I get bored of.

I love these videos so much, your energy together is such a treat. You should have Will listen to Opera for the first time! It'd be such a fun twist on your usual dynamic in these videos of him showing you something he loves that's new to you. You should show him something that you love that's new to him. There'd be so much space to make analysis on the piece, especially as you can compare the similarities to metal!
So glad you finally checked out Fleshgod! I saw them live twice in some pretty small bars, one in Cleveland and one in Pittsburgh, seeing them with full band, opera singer, and baby grand piano all in stage in that setting is mind blowing. I've heard classical and metal both tickle the same parts of the brain and i feel this band proves that perfectly. Looking forward to you checking out one of their songs with the operatic singer as well! Good work!

I’ve seen Fleshgod 3 times live each time at different sized venues and they were phenomenal. I got to meet them and have wine on their tour bus. They are incredible people and really funny too. Even on the album Labyrinth, which start to finish is a masterpiece, there were a few joke credits Francesco told me about. They talked about how they had a bunch of gear/the outfits stolen. okay im a SOAD fan and i love this channel now. PLEASE listen to Radio/Video when you get a chance. That is one of their most unique and strange songs, and it's absolutely amazing, I know you will be absolutely blown away. 🤯
I saw Fleshgod live, probably around 2010, and they were incredibly accurate live. They also refused to play until the sound was set up correctly, they stood on stage glowering at the venue's sound guy until it was right, we all waited but it was worth it.
Hi! I’ve been a long time lurker on the channel. My wife and I both ABSOLUTELY love your channel! We both constantly say “oh! The charismatic voice lady should review this song!!” I introduced to her a band the other day, and we both agreed you HAVE to do a review for a “Protest the Hero” song. They are entirely unique (from my experiences with music), blending progressive metal, classical sounding falsetto vocals, and high/low guttural screams. I feel that they would be a perfect fit for what you look for in the channel. Bloodmeat, sequoia throne, or palms read are some of their more popular songs, but my personal favorite is called ‘wretch’. Anything off of their ‘Fortress’ album is definitely worth looking into. Once again, LOVE your content! And I hope this comment doesn’t get lost in the the abundance of RUclips comments, because I feel like you ABSOLUTELY need to look into them!
such an amazing band! also cool to know, they did an entire instrumental version of the album with just the classical instruments. Then you can really hear how much is going on, and really hear how amazing the entire composition is.
This is the RUclips collaboration I never knew I needed. Elizabeth, Will....if you two don't do these sorts of videos on a more regular basis, I'm afraid all of your fans are going to be very irate. In the best possible way. 😁
This is such a great reaction, I love the chemistry between them……I imagine Will will take his vocals to the next level on the next Lorna Shore album (probably a guest spot from Elizabeth too). They should give the Orchestral version of this song a listen too to better hear some of the nuances.
I'm more of a Therion fan in terms of symphonic metal, but I love the distortion in this. Orchestra is the original heavy metal if you think about it. I mean, think about what it must have been like to hear "In the Hall of the Mountain King" in 1875! So the two genres really flow well together which is why I love Therion so much. The very first time back in 1997, when I was introduced to them by their song "To Mega Therion" off the Theli album; I was hooked in maybe a second? (literally) It just blew me away; I had never heard anything like it. Then I heard their song "In the Desert of Set" and I became a fan for life. I'd love it if you reacted / broke down their music. They don't get enough credit for essentially creating the symphonic metal genre. They have a good live version of both of those songs from their Wacken 2001 concert if you don't want to listen to the album version. Great collaboration you two! I look forward to the next one.
If you check out more I recommend Epilogue or The Day We'll Be Gone, both are great songs if you want to hear their Opera singer Veronica, especially in the video for Epilogue she's even got that kind of Masquerade mask that I think everyone thinks of when you imagine an Opera singer and they're even Italian so it's more perfect. But The Day We'll Be Gone is slowed down so you can really hear her and Francesco Paolis vocals (Francesco didn't do Vocals on this song just the latest album Veleno and I want to say Mafia as well)
Thx for trying hard & making an effort. Not just going for the klicks. That distinguishes your channel from the others. Thx for your point of view. that really adds

I have seen them live, and they are so amazing. Love this band.
King is full of bangers start to finish, no skips. LOVE FGA. So glad Will introduced it to the channel!
Thank you Will Ramos!!!
I´ve been waiting so long for Fleshgod to show up on this channel. Let´s go
me, casually finding a new fave band with will and elizabeth
I need Elizabeth to try teach Will how to sing opera one video 😩
OMG, I never thought that Will listens to this band! They are so underrated in the death metal scene.
Im so excited about this! Can’t wait to watch. This might be the most fascinating and educational video of yours yet.
FA is amazing. I finally got to see them live a few months ago and they were everything i wanted from them.
A golden retriever meets border collie. A match made in personality and vocal heaven!
This friendship makes me happy. ❤. I love elizabeth and will videos
such an amazing band! also cool to know, they did an entire instrumental version of the album with just the classical instruments. Then you can really hear how much is going on, and really hear how amazing the entire composition is.
This is brilliant, and so interesting to see/hear their different perspectives!
Underrated band. I’m so glad someone knows who they are
Fleshgod are amazing, first saw them in Nottingham & Derby UK in 2012, blown away!
Thank yooou! We need more Fleshgod reactions pls 🫶 with Francesco on the vocals and more Veronica ❤️
This is the RUclips collaboration I never knew I needed. Elizabeth, Will....if you two don't do these sorts of videos on a more regular basis, I'm afraid all of your fans are going to be very irate. In the best possible way. 😁
Ah you guys are a great duo. Also, really enjoyed the deep dive on Opera singing.
Has Will introduced you to the band Face Yourself yet? (deathcore band w/Yasmine as vocalist) I would love to see your reaction to any of their songs.
Love the vids you do together. Such synergy!
But The Day We'll Be Gone is slowed down so you can really hear her and Francesco Paolis vocals (Francesco didn't do Vocals on this song just the latest album Veleno and I want to say Mafia as well)
Hi Elizabeth & Will! Y'all are awesome. Please do Kim Dracula - Seventy Thorns next!
next Lorna Shore album will have clean and operatic Will vocals, calling it now! 😆
Thx for trying hard & making an effort. Not just going for the klicks. That distinguishes your channel from the others. Thx for your point of view. that really adds
3:08 the difference in expression is gold. You have a deer in headlights, and a golden retriever chasing a squirrel
Will is probably my favourite person in the entire world.
Glad to see that’s there’s so many videos of Elizabeth and Will reacting. He might as well do this in his off time completely when he’s not recording or touring haha. Great song too. Also I don’t know if anyone has recommended this group yet but I’d love it if I could see both of them react to Kim Dracula (specifically Make Me Famous) insane stuff man.
Watch Elizabeth's son be an AMAZING metal vocalist when he older 🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻
