It is amazing the way Rodents will gnaw thru Breeze-blocks, Reinforced Concrete and Steel Cladded Buildings. I have repaired Cladding Footings with Concrete and Angle-iron Shuttering for a Maltsters, but shooting the Rats remains the best way of stopping them! I like watching Hares too, they are very elegant. Thank you.

Brings back some fond memories!! I had a neighbor who had an old barn in their (open-field) backyard & the rats came out of there like new from a factory. We used BB guns back then (most preferred at that time was the Daisy Red Ryder: this was before the pellet guns became more & more perfected; one guy had a .22 !); l later had a Crosman pellet gun and had, l think, about 30+ kills on it.. rats & snakes only. Nobody had a problem with it then, like they probably would now; we would tell the local law we were hunting rats and all they ever said was to "be careful". Good times back then- miss them alot !!

The Hare brought back a memory of when I was flying my now 22 year old male Harris Hawk one evening, and he came across a Hare trundling across a field. Talon glided slowly over it at about 10ft you could see him thinking bloody hell that's a big rabbit. Fortunately he turned on my whistle after thinking better of it and as usual came back to me. He would have been about 5 or 6 at the time. 😎👍anyway nice change to see a quality day time rat video mate all the best from a very wet Devon 🤠

Takes me back to my youth growing up on a farm shooting wolf rats with my 22 single shot using 22 BB caps from the top of our tool shed that over looked the chicken yard after a it snowed at night, that is a lot of fun, you take it to a whole other level of fun! Lol

Remarkable that they would come out in broad daylight like that - I can only imagine if you put a thermal weapon sight on that thing

@@simon6ppc246 farmers I know down here in south tx do that and absolutely murder them- but they are literally protecting their livelihood - I know shooters that fly in copters as gunners for the government - they say there’s no way the population will ever be held in check- we are completely overrun

Really nice video, good shots. Impressive this is in daylight, never seen a rat in daylight.
What pellets/slugs do you use? Can you perhaps take us for a "gear/equipment" tour? Tell us about your different PCPs and rifles. You for sure master shooting.
    Best regards, Mads, Denmark.

I really like the day time ratting videos for some reason. I like night videos too, but the day time videos just make everything a little clearer to see the layout etc. That one rat at around the 6:50 mark looked like he had the mange?

Loved watching this, I've done some rat shooting, and it really is the sport of kings! Really enjoyable thing to do. I had most success with a little Cometa 100 air rifle, .177 and 500FPS, very cheap but very effective. Tried with my PCP, which is a .25 Bobcat, like using a sledgehammer on flies. This was really enjoyable to watch, thank you sir for putting up such good videos, and mostly thank you for not shooting that beautiful Hare.
