Can’t say I immediately cared for the Secret Wars Civil War suit but when I saw that it uses an actual wing jetpack instead of web wings, I’ve been using it basically nonstop. Such a unique detail.
Agreed but being able to change the colours of the suit was a nice touch! I loved the Wolverine suit, Spider-Man Noir and anything that Glowed in the Dark!!

It's a shame that Insomniac didn't do that unique type of thing with some of the other suits, like the MCU Iron Spider suit having the web wings from No Way Home, or the classic Iron Spider suit having repulsor jet blasts, instead of web wings, to imitate flight instead of gliding.
I'm totally with you on the Spider-Punk suit, it would've been way better if they used the Spider-Verse one, not only because of the hype the movie generated, but also it's just way more unique than this one, especially the asymmetrical eyes and big spikes. I could even see them adding the "cutout" effect and shifting colors, it would've been SICK. Here's hoping we get to see it in Spider-Man 3!

Number 76 is a MAJOR story suit spoiler starting at 2:51 so skip to 4:06
Suit 74 (although a side story spoiler) starts at 4:43 so skip to 5:29
spoiler suit 58 (that being another side story suit) goes from 15:08 to 15:55
suit number 53 while being another side story suit is a EXTREMELY important one starting from 18:20 and going all the way up to 19:09
51 & 50 goes from 19:48 to 20:45. these “two suits” (if u can even call them two different suits 🙄) just might be the MOST* important suits story wise. Are they good suits? Meh
Suits 48 & 47 go from 21:38 to 23:18 and fall under the same side story as suit number 53
Suit number 33 starts at 34:14 and ends at 35:02 and is almost OBJECTIVELY* the most important story suit (hint: it’s Peters)
Going from 53:36 to 54:37 number 11 is just the previous suit (in relevance) but *BARELY* less important
Starting at 59:08 and going to 1:00:10 suit numbers 3 & 2 are ACTUALLY* (Fr fr this time) the MOST* important in the game story wise

I do agree that despite them adding so many cool suits, the default suits for Miles and Peter are maybe the best in the game. They fit the characters so well that I hesitate to even switch costumes until I finish the main story.
That’s how I felt in the first games story and this one. I’ll probably try different ones in the campaign when we get new game + though

I finished the game a couple days ago and just now watching this video and I love your takes about the suits. I also 110% agree with your number 1 choice as the new advanced suit is really good in this game and the red and black color style for Peter is a suit I ran for at LEAST 85% of the game, it may be my favorite style of all time.
I’m like 20 in and already several of my favorites are listed. We just have different tastes. I think the red and black Mysterio suit for Miles is the best in the game. It’s got the foggy helmet with the evil spider man eyes. I absolutely love it.
That’s a good suit to have as a favorite. Also, it’s no worries if we have different tastes, that’s what makes the discussion interesting!

@@InnovativeJdawg i can say the same for the insomniac black suit *for me anyway*, i only use it when it’s dim or in night time, because the panels distract me and don’t look good, (especially the back of the neck) and the night helps with making it less visible.

If you go to the PlayStation store, it should let you upgrade your version of the game to get the deluxe edition suits for an extra $10 or something around there

Fun fact the Wolverine suit is actually from the comics. It was part of a What If?! Miles Morales story, they slightly tweaked it by covering his mouth, but otherwise it's actually ripped right from the comics.
This absolute madlad came back HARD with this suit ranking 🔥
What I loved about the Dark & Red style for Advanced 2.0 is that it practically pays homage to Advanced 1.0 with how much lighting changes the look. From the darker red looking like classic red in some scenes. Similar to how the orange popped out more in the first game's suit during the day.
Finally, someone who prefers the ATSV suit to the ITSV suit 🙌
Exactly, and I agree as well. It's a shame it still has that dumb circle around the spider on the chest, but the spider symbols on the chest and back are much better, and the red lines going down the armpits are fantastic.

The 2020 miles suit in the purple variation is honestly my absolute fav in the game, the casual jacket with the sci fi helmet just looks so perfect

I dont know why, but the Anti-Venom suit is my absolute favorite. It just looks so good in ways I can’t really describe. I really like the texture, the eyes, the color separation looks great, and it obviously flows best with the endgame (until they let us change the tendril colors).
I definitely think it’s over hated, it’s a pretty cool idea

I love the fact that insomniac put their mind, body, and soul into these suits, and I love the fact that they put all the suits from the comic books to the movies, and I'm not going to lie, I love them all, especially the Symbiote suit from the comics.
My absolute favourite is the Spider-Verse Noir suit. It's so great to just pull out the rubik's cube while falling with it
I honestly love the smoke and mirrors suit and I sometimes use it during my play through I'm totally withyou on the secret wars suit
I am incredibly happy with the suit selection in this game, but there are a couple of Peter suits that I wish made it into this game.
The first one is the Stealth “Big Time” suit. That suit has a special place in my heart because I got first exposed to it thanks to the RUclipsr Shartimus Prime, and green is my favorite color and the suit just has a really cool design. It also would have been the easiest to give suit styles to because it already has some in the comics.
The next suit is the Last Stand suit because it’s just a very simple design and also gives the vibe of a Spider-Man whose been at it for a while. I just thinks it looks really cool.
The last is Peter’s Into the Spider-Verse suit. This is probably the most confusing decisions they’ve made since the brought back all of Peter’s movie suits from the first game except this one. And I think in an interview with IGN, Bryan Intiahar said that they knew the had to bring back every movie suit, yet they missed one. I hope that they add it in a future update because it just doesn’t seem right to leave it out, in my opinion, anyway.
Overall, great video. I don’t agree with every choice, but we all have our own lists and rankings, and respect your opinion.
Edit: One final suit that I’m also disappointed didn’t make it in and I’m ashamed in myself for not including it when I originally wrote this comment is the White 2099 suit. That suit just looks so clean and well designed that I actually think I might prefer it over the “black” one, even though I still love that one. I just think it’s a really cool suit and it really gives off the vibes of a hero from the future.

Still can’t believe they ditched the BIG TIME suit, that’s my main suit in SM1…

I think a much better blue style for the Superior suit would have been replacing the black fabric sections with a more traditional blue and making the eyes white, making a callback to the classic red & blues. The giant black spider would also invoke the Ben Reilly suit design.

My thoughts on some of the suits and why i use them
1)The mcu stealth suit= i remember using this suit in spiderman on ps4 because it had the ability to disable enemies from calling reinforcements which made crime fights abit easy, insomniac didn't need to add it to spiderman 2 but regardless its a nice return.
2) the new blue suit= it's cool because it's like an alternative version of the fantastic 4 suit
3) both red and black raimi suits= i only remember them from the toby maguire spiderman 3 movie and i think its a nice love letter to those who loved the movie.
4) the araca knight suit = this suit gave me batman/ assassin's creed vibes i don't know why but i still think its cool especially at night, same with mile's version.
5) itsv suit noir, mile's itsv suit and the 2099 suit= i loved these suits because of the spiderman itsv movies
6) spider punk suit = again same with the mcu suit i only used this one because of it's rock wave ability it looks cool
7) Stan's costume shop suit= i vividly remember this suit because i remember miles in the spiderverse movie had it while he was getting the just of his spider powers.
8) city sound suit = i don't know if insomniac made it as a funny joke to spiderman if he was in the mafia or a spiderman mafia 4 inspired suit but regardless spiderman has that mafia drip lmao.
9) classic black suit = this suit just reminded me of that one meme clip of spiderman walking slowly while the world is in chaos from wed of shadows if you get the bad ending, its hilarious.
9) iron spider armor suit = this along with the wolverine suit are great if you love wolverine and iron man like me.
And lastly
10) tasm suit 1= i love this suit because of the movie because well it's very original and i love the dark yellow eyes on the mask.

Me personally, my top suits (based on how good they look, their origins, and how much I use them), I'd say the sportswear suit, any spiderverse suit, 10th anniversary suit (my favorite), and the stark suit (whatever one that tom holland wore in civil war)
My favourite part of Spider-Man 2 was when spider-man webbed up venom and said “it’s webbin time”
My favorite is probably the sym surge suit, but I'll always go back to peter's classic suit (red and black), even if they accidentally made the red darker when they ported it.

I used the 10th anniversary suit default, Miles Morales 2099 purple variant, Advanced 2.0 black variant, T.R.A.C.K suit black variant, Amazing 2 suit and the Final Swing suit the most in my play through
I like the white style for the anti ock suit because it matches with the spider arms
Fun fact about the Wolverine suit: if you change the setting for center point always on, it’s an X rather than a dot when wearing that suit

Awesome video, personally my absulute favorite is the superior suit for peter.
The reason is the arms dont just pop out of a skintight suit witch i really disliked from the start just dorsnt fit the relastisc look of the game.
I’ve watched a lot of theses vids and I say the same thing for all of them a lot of the suits would look so much better with a cape or a hood and a lot of the suits are reskins
The only problem I have is that there is not a last stand suit for peter
