Alot of people in the comments are asking: "Won't sleeping on my side create asymmetry?" Sleeping on your back was not the natural sleeping position of our ancestors. Lying flat on one's back on the uneven, hard surfaces of a cave or forest floor would have likely led to significant back pain. Anyone who has gone camping will be aware of this. Also, when you sleep on your back, it is more difficult to follow the tropic premise because gravity causes the lower jaw to drop, and the tongue to fall back into the throat. This is supported by the fact that more people snore when sleeping on their back than on their side, causing them to mouth breath. If you sleep on your side, you can keep your jaw from dropping by using a pillow for support, and suction-based mewing should be enough to keep breathing through the nose.
Very interesting, as so many say that sleeping on the back is the "correct" way to sleep. I trained myself to be a back sleeper because I thought it was more beneficial. Going to switch it up and see how I feel. I also just started mouth taping 6 days ago, so I will see how the new sleeping posture adds in. I'll update in maybe 2-3 days. (I actually will)
This is reassuring to say the least as someone who really struggles to sleep on their back. Thank u for the video I will practice these tips and looking forward to sleeping on my side tonight!

Dr.Mew please make a video on asymmettrical mewing in which we are not able to apply pressure equally on both sides which results in asymmetry in the face. Please make a video adressing the soltuon to this.
Be careful with the word pressure, you need to create a suction not a push on the palate. Mewing isn’t a life hack, it’s a lifestyle. I don’t mean to get stringent here but have you seriously been mewing properly and consistently? All mewing does is promote proper maxilla growth; it does not make you into Sean Opry. It is also well documented that mouth breathing has multiple downsides such as poor sleep quality, reoccurred malocclusions past orthodontic treatment, sleep apnea, and even is linked to higher stress levels as well.
@@DebendraBikramKunwar first of all what dont you understand about dilligently? Ive been double checking to have my mouth closed at all times during sleep. I maintain a proper posture. Either you did it wrong
Or you are joking
The more likely option is that it just doesnt work for adults. More force is required to widen the maxilla than what you are naturally capable of producing through your tongue and face muscles
@@921Ether nevertheless it worked for me at the age of 20
It's still going on
@@921Etheryou're probably doing it wrong then. I have 28 percent body fat, a double chin, and I still got a noticable jawline because of mewing.
Get a job,GET A JOBB that's what gonna get u evreything....EVRYTHINGG(think abt it)
