    Alot of people in the comments are asking:
    "Won't sleeping on my side create asymmetry?"
    Sleeping on your back was not the natural sleeping position of our ancestors. Lying flat on one's back on the uneven, hard surfaces of a cave or forest floor would have likely led to significant back pain. Anyone who has gone camping will be aware of this. Also, when you sleep on your back, it is more difficult to follow the tropic premise because gravity causes the lower jaw to drop, and the tongue to fall back into the throat. This is supported by the fact that more people snore when sleeping on their back than on their side, causing them to mouth breath. If you sleep on your side, you can keep your jaw from dropping by using a pillow for support, and suction-based mewing should be enough to keep breathing through the nose.

      @SamTehGr8 4 месяца назад +26

      Very interesting, as so many say that sleeping on the back is the "correct" way to sleep. I trained myself to be a back sleeper because I thought it was more beneficial. Going to switch it up and see how I feel. I also just started mouth taping 6 days ago, so I will see how the new sleeping posture adds in. I'll update in maybe 2-3 days. (I actually will)

    The Thumbnail 💀💀
    Many people ''overdo'' Mewing and go to extremes and many people make fun of them, also view mewing as a silly thing to do.
    This video explains perfectly what mewing is all about and it is also the version that I (at least partly) adapted and it definetely improves your facial features.
    PS: Just don't abuse abuse your face with a hammer or do anything that gives you permanent damage, because ''attractiveness'' is not worth destroying your health for.
    The Mainkey is getting used to a certain tongue position and nasal breathing.
    And that actually works. 💯 No Doubt.

    Jivha Bandha (Tongue Lock)
    Book Reference: Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Chapter 3 (Bandha and Mudra), Verse 4-5.
    and Its Similarities with Mewing.
    1. Tongue Placement: Like mewing, Jivha Bandha involves pressing the tongue against the roof of the mouth. In both practices, this tongue posture is crucial for directing energy flow and maintaining facial structure.
    2. Facial Structure and Muscle Tone: Jivha Bandha, similar to mewing, helps in improving facial muscle tone. This promotes a well-defined jawline and corrects oral posture, which is essential for overall facial symmetry.
    3. Respiratory Benefits: Both techniques emphasize proper nasal breathing. Jivha Bandha, like mewing, encourages nasal breathing by positioning the tongue correctly, which helps clear airways and improve respiratory health.
    4. Neurological and Physiological Effects: Just as mewing stimulates proper neural and muscular function through tongue posture, Jivha Bandha activates the vagus nerve, aiding in relaxation and stress reduction, contributing to balanced autonomic function.
    5. Energy Flow Regulation: Jivha Bandha regulates prana (vital energy) through tongue posture, similar to how mewing promotes energy balance by optimizing oral posture and breathing patterns.
    In summary, Jivha Bandha and mewing share significant similarities in tongue placement, facial structure benefits, and their impact on respiratory and neurological health. Both practices emphasize the importance of correct oral posture for overall well-being.

      Be careful with the word pressure, you need to create a suction not a push on the palate. If you have suction and a big enough palate arch, you should be fine, however some people might need some expansion to have enough room to keep their tongue on the roof of their mouth. Keep at it and good luck!

    Doctor the right side of my face is more developed, my right cheekbone is more developed and higher than the left one. Should i put more pressure on the left part of the palate while mewing in order to make the left side of my face developed and equal to the right side. Or i should mew evenly. I had this asymmetry from before and it is due to my bad habits. But now i got an hope to fix it after seeing your mewing method. But i am confused, should i put more pressure on the undeveloped side or evenly to both the sides.
    Kindly help me please.

      Sleeping on your back is not the natural sleeping position our ancestors used. Also when you sleep on your back its harder to follow the tropic premise as the lower jaw drops because of gravity and the tongue drops into the throat. Evidence to support this is how more people snore sleeping on their back, rather than their side. If you sleep on your side, you can also support your jaw from dropping with a pillow, and suction based mewing should be enough to maintain nose Breathing.

      Mewing isn’t a life hack, it’s a lifestyle. I don’t mean to get stringent here but have you seriously been mewing properly and consistently? All mewing does is promote proper maxilla growth; it does not make you into Sean Opry. It is also well documented that mouth breathing has multiple downsides such as poor sleep quality, reoccurred malocclusions past orthodontic treatment, sleep apnea, and even is linked to higher stress levels as well.

    • @921Ether
      @921Ether 4 месяца назад

      @@DebendraBikramKunwar first of all what dont you understand about dilligently? Ive been double checking to have my mouth closed at all times during sleep. I maintain a proper posture. The more likely option is that it just doesnt work for adults. More force is required to widen the maxilla than what you are naturally capable of producing through your tongue and face muscles
