      I've been doing RUclips for a little less than 2 years. My process and editing get a little better with each video. If you look at some of my earlier work compared to newer stuff, there's a massive difference in editing and overall quality. Just everything is better: Flow, Color Grading, Audio, etc.

    I just bought a new 15000 $700 for sub and a used 7710 $50 for inkjet. My 7720 (sub) that I bout in 2017 $250 finally "expired". Is that normal? I called Epson and they said the life of the printing functions and software has "ran out".
    Thank you for the very informed and professional video. I greatly appreciate your time.

    Hi, Im very new to sublimation. I just bought a Epson 2760. I was wondering if you have a video or if you could tell me all the settings for useing A-Sub paper?
    And yes im so very sorry there is a and..😁
    On cricut design space i made a print for a 12oz tumbler. Size 9.235 X 5.75 so i am still in the guide lines. Anyway i used my laser printer for a practice cut n it was prefect. So thin i printed it on my epson and it printed fine but is a quarter inch short.?? I printed it 2 times still short. I have my cricut calibrated with all my printers. My son saud maybe a Margin is set on the printer. But i have no idea how any of that works. So thats why im asking for help. I've learned so much from watching ur channel and want to say thank you for sharing ur knowledge with us..

I called all of the printer repair shops even the mom and pop shops ... my last option is to ask my uncles at a family gathering if I remember because they don’t answer calls/texts but if asked face to face they would feel obligated to do so because everyone will be watching and they need to keep up their image

We purchased a epson WF-7840 and we are trying to convert it to sub ink we have done all the steps to do that, but when we get to the print test page it’s always blank any ideas on what we are doing wrong? Any help would be very appreciated! My husband is about to pull his hair out! Haha

    • @srlsigns7944
      @srlsigns7944 3 года назад +2

      You need to prime the ink cartridges. There are loads of videos you can watch. Basically, fill your new cartridges with sub ink, plug vent hole, insert empty syringe into fill hole and pull up on plunger. You’ll create a vacuum that will pull ink into the hollow circle part of the cartridge. Plug fill hole, unplug vent hole and run a couple cleaning cycles and it should print.

    I appreciate your video. I have a 7720 that I use for regular printing. I am thinking of converting it to sublimation. So this was helpful. Here's my question, or comment. Since the printer didn't already have injet ink, why didn't you just start with the sublimation ink to begin with? That would have been so much easier. I have seen videos of this printer being brand new, and starting it with sub ink. I have the epson 2720 that I bought to convert to sublimation. I put the sub ink in from the get go. No need to clean heads etc, to get rid of regular ink.

      I use the standard ink first just to make sure the printer prints correctly with it.

    • @SouthpawsStudio
      @SouthpawsStudio  2 года назад

      I never understand why people say this... Whoever told you this has zero understanding of exactly how things actually work (The manufacturing/refurbishing/troubleshooting process)...
      When buying a sublimation printer, I usually just buy a refurb, because we're voiding the warranty anyway. As part of the refurbishing process, the printheads are inked and tested using standard Epson ink. Based on your logic, the damage is already done at that point.
      But, let's say that it isn't that way.. and you put sublimation ink directly in. If it doesn't print, how to you troubleshoot a printer that isn't really known whether or not it works? You could be chasing a problem that's printhead related or anything else.
      IF it's a cartridge printer, I will ALWAYS test with the factory inks, just to confirm that the printer is function prior to the conversion process. My mind cannot be changed on this. On EcoTank printers, you should go straight to dye sub.
