    INFO: Please don't use 4H on anything but slippery surfaces and don't engage 4H whilst moving. I was very lucky it was a wet day otherwise i may have damaged the drivetrain.

    All Ranger 3.2 Wildtrak owners will tell you that the truck fits just fine into parking spaces and it's not wider than a Mondeo. It's not that huge. That's all in the first time drivers mind until they get used to it after a day or two.
    Tyres wear perfectly. Engine is reliable. Brakes are fine too.
    You are new to the pickup truck world and want it to be a sports car.
    The truck sells by the bucket loads for a reason.
    Because it's an excellent truck. Not sketchy at all.
    Truck drivers you may recall are dependent and have been used to wing mirror reliability for decades as pickups are usually used for the purpose that they were designed. TO BE LOADED. So the rear view mirror is redundant for most of the time anyway. Rear view is not an issue. We check our wing mirrors more than the average motorist.
    The Ranger's sound system is actually decent for a pickup truck.
    Funny thing is,is that you started by looking for fault but by the end you said those words 'Its actually a fairly decent car not just a pick up truck'. 😂
    And yes. I've had mine for years. Impeccably serviced and used as intended. Zero problems. Expect it to run without any major issues until the 300,000 mile mark.
    70,000 is nothing for these trucks👍🏼
    Entertaining video. Cheers 🥃

      Yeah he doesn't make a lot of sense. Like complaining about getting "torque steer" when he puts it in 4H on a highway.. it was never meant to handle like an awd SUV. 4WD on that pick up is mostly used for off roading so with 2WD + traction control you're more than fine even when it's wet lol
      I have this pickup and I have no issues nor "sketchy" behavior driving at highway speeds. You just have to be aware that it's not a sedan by any means. It's a pickup truck with leaf springs that handles accordingly

      So it's a good buy by the sound of it. Always been a fan of 5 cylinder diesels currently still running a 20 year old Merc E270 cdi but the issue with that is it costs a fortune in emissions charges being Euro 4 shame as it's still a nice car but must go soon. I've never owned a truck before but it's something I'm seriously interested in for a change over the usual estate car option and a van. I think the wife would complain straightaway over the size of it.

    Pretty good, but should rename the video "first time driving a truck" because you've obviously got no reference point.
    Also you don't use 4h when driving on the road.

    Id like to see him drive my old 5.9 cummins down the road. This man would shit bricks. Current trucks are like luxury cars from just 10 years ago. Try driving something twice as large without a backup camera. You use your mirrors and tires as a guide. How about a truck with 6 manual gears? Should one complain about the speed of the shifts? You see, a truck will never be a car. And a car will never be a truck; so dont expect much of an enlightening moment when a truck doesn’t handle like a car. Leaf spring you say? Solid rear axel? Sounds like someone was either a bit naive, or maybe a tad unreasonable. You see, a truck is a multipurpose tool. Its the jack of all trades but master of none. If you work with your hands for a living, a truck is a no brainer. But if you push pencils or work behind a desk, then youll never understand the concept of owning a pickup truck. You can load the bed full of materials or tools, all while driving through snow or mud. You can load the bed full of luggage and take the family away for a long trip. And also you can tow

    What is avg fuel consumption for 3.2 ranger? Hard to believe it’s 40.7mpg

    • @deldia
      @deldia Месяц назад

      It’s not. It’s gonna use at least 10-15% more than a large car

    • @bryank7133
      @bryank7133 24 дня назад

      @@deldia if that large car had a diesel engine, maybe. The 3.2 Ranger typically has a combined fuel economy of 30+ mpg. 40mpg would be a reasonable expectation for highway mileage. The same vehicle with the 2.3 liter turbo gas engine gets around 22mpg combined. If you live in the US, it's probably a wash, since diesel here is considerably more expensive than gasoline. This is not true everywhere in the world though, as many places diesel is actually less expensive than gasoline.

    I can't feel comfortable with sedans not even with SUVs anymore. I don't care the cons of a pickup truck in city traffic, I feel naked if I don't drive pickup :)
