    Just to add to this I know it was a couple years ago but I've had lots of experience with these and the timing chain has slack in it which causes codes to be sent out that says the camshaft sensors and the crank sensors are bad when in actuality they're good they're just reading off of a sloppy timing chain so you can change all these but changing the timing chain guides and water pump while you're in there is the best way to solve all your issues.

      It did ended up being my timing chain. You are absolutely right. Knew something was up when brand new sensors were still throwing codes. I got rid of the damn thing.

    13 terrain 2.4L started making noise on passenger side of engine. Codes P0016& P0017, cold weather low oil. I’m hoping it’s sensors and not the timing chain

    When you had to take off your high pressure fuel hose, did you need to do anything to keep the fuel from gushing out? I just tried to do that and fuel just started flowing out. I'm obviously not a mechanic and I'm trying to fix this myself. I had rags under it in case there was some that came out but there was so much I ended up tightening the bolt back on. I felt like it shouldn't have been coming out that much... 😕

    I'm asking because I have a 2012 gmc terrain I feel the when I drive it for 1 hour or so it won't go more then 30 miles per hour and I hope is not the transmission

    I have a 2013 Equinox 2.4 and the Camshaft repair is on the passenger side. They are 3'long and are called intake and exhaust. learned this from AutoZone and kid on RUclips. You have the Crankshaft repair... Si?

    I bought a intake solenoid and it came out black? It’s okay that? My car it’s leaking hella oil from the solenoids after I traded the grey solenoid to a black one.. but also fits in the solenoid spot which isn’t supposed to fit if was the exhaust solenoid?

    Can you do so without a reader?

    • @Boaters_hub
      @Boaters_hub 7 месяцев назад

      Take your car to an advanced auto/ auto zone/ auto parts store have them scan the car when you have a check engine light. Common codes for this is p0011 or p0017. BUT the problem is the timing chain. Over time they stretch and should be replaced. The sensors arent usually the problem.

    I have two questions. (1) Is the camshaft and knock sensors the same, just different names? It keeps showing me the same when I look. (2) do you still live in the same area cuz I’d love for you to check my car out. I have 2010 terrain I’m in la marque as well.
