All Irish dancing is purcussive. Sean nos is the start of Irish dancing and started in homes and on stone floors and using doors as platforms. Then the dancer would start taps and effectively the beat came from the dancer. It's so organic and beautiful. Thank you for sharing!
If I only had my youthful legs back again, i would learn to dance like this, My minds tells me no problem you can do this but my legs are battered and bruised from working hard for 93.5 years
I don't know first thing of dance judging but I love watching them very good !!!!to do what they have done here they must have exerted more discipline than the average person exerts in their lifetime
That's quite Sean Nos dance so the rule 'body of ice' does not apply, old irish style dancing is not as strict as modern one and arms moves are fully acceptable (even necessary as dancing expression).
Nice dancing, but I hate that short skirt. Not traditional, immodest, and I cringed, fearing she would expose herself. Meanwhile, the male is dressed in dignified, businessman's dress.
It's a dancer's skort... skirt and shorts. She could do a handstand and you still wouldnt see anything. Visually she created a long line for her legs just as ballet dancers do.
