This is the second time the pacers have been up 3 and chose not to foul. Middleton forced OT in the bucks series, but the pacers won that so everyone’s quick to forget.
@@jake1993ize not saying they should’ve fouled him on the shot, but if siakam definitely had an opportunity to foul before the shot. Jaylen caught the ball, literally waited until pascal got on him, ripped the ball through with his right, then went up in pascals face. He chose not to foul before
I’m a celts fan but the pacers were brilliant I’ve never seen better ball movement I think we need to be worried, we’re fresh and they’re exhausted and they took us all the way, clutch JB 3 from a game 1 loss at home. We need to lock in asap, lose game 2 we’re in trouble !
I'm a Celtics fan but as a basketball fan in general, it's great to see Rick Carlisle coaching championship ball. He basically has an edition of his 2011 Mavs team. A very good PG (Kidd-Hali), a 7ft stretch 5 (Dirk-Miles) and a small scrappy back up PG (JJ-TJ). Main difference is the Pace (pun intended).
Good on taking accountability Rick. Make the adjustments, come back, and do better. We always seem to. We Lost, Boston barely Won. 21 turnovers just can't happen. So uncharacteristic.
@Talking_Comics they were home, we saw that in the knicks series. The home teams will get thr advantage, pacers needed this game to get homecourt so they can have a series lead before porzingis comes back
He does speak a bit quickly. He also doesn't enunciate particularly well (doesn't move his mouth much, almost like a ventriloquist), nor does he use expressive tone to better communicate his message. It's as if he's intentionally trying to sound boring so that reporters will stop asking him questions. (As I was listening to him here, he reminded me a bit of Derek White. The difference is Joe comes off more defensive, whereas Derek seems shy and intimidated.
No idea how many times I'll say it this season, the Celtics have no coaching staff. The only way the Pacers can be dangerous is playing fast paced, and what the Celtics do? Play fast paced. Mazzulla really hurts my brain, if I'll go to the nut house I'll send him the bill.
Well guess you also can make a turnover from the freaking bench Rick. If you did anything in the last seconds you would win this game. But you chocked. Do you know how hard is to win a game in the TD garden? You had it. You blew it.
Total breakdown by an inexperienced team. You cannot throw the ball toward your opponent’s basket as Nembhard did, especially when you have a timeout in your pocket-wasted opportunity.
Don't worry, after the end of game 2 Rick will send in 79 missed calls to the league office like he did vs the Knicks to get the refs on his side. Also waiting on Carlisle to use the big market vs little market argument to the media.
Come on man 10 seconds left a time out and inbounding in your own in elementary take the time out and inbound in their end and make a free throw. Now Pacers have no chance
I think it's because after the crazy number of missed or incorrect fouls against the Pacers in a previous series, he made an official complaint with the list (something like 80+ in two games). And he was fined something like $35k for bringing it up. And if he'd answered the question that reporter brought up in this interview about free throw disparity, he would have been fined even more. So I think he's saying his daughter is sitting out a semester of college because he was fined the first time, and she'd have to sit out a year with the fine he'd get from answering that question. I really wish it weren't "illegal" to talk about poor reffing. It's like the NBA a communist state (metaphorically speaking only. Not literally) where you can't say anything bad about the leaders. In any other situation, reporters would be calling out BS when they see it and trying to keep the game honest and fair. Just sad that can't be in basketball. I'm genuinely shocked that reporter asked the question (I'm glad he did), but Rick can't answer it without consequences. It's so much more fun to watch the game when they don't favor one side or the other and mostly just let them play. The Pacers have the worst free-throw disparity in the league and we have kind of just accepted that we have to win by 30 to have a chance of winning by 5.
Yeah Mezzula, you have reached the fork in the road. If you win the chip, you are going to milk it for the next 20 years just like Doc Rivers is doing. But if you fumble this chip, you are fired and forgotten. Boston had Ime Udoka. With him, this Celtics team would not play with food. Bostons starting 5 is so freaking good that they can get away with this lack of focus and late game execution.. and poor coaching. If anyone but Boston with this title, there is going to be a big blow out in this franchise.
😂 Ime n the Celtics got punked. Pacers are good its I dee its who think the Celtics are so good this will be cupcake walk through. Some fans are laughable and do nothing but brag and tall shyt for a team thats choked for 6+ years.
it was clear who the refs wanted to win. Indy just kept hitting their shots. Surprised we went to OT. The NBA is a business, at the end of the day its all about the money, 😅😅😅
Here's goes the blaming game again. You guys lost to a full squad. Maybe Jaylen, Jason and another Celtic will get injured so the Pacers can play what they've grown accustom to.
Carlisle is hilarious on that bait about the ref!😂

i think pacers know that
They wanted to foul. Siakam just got there late. Why foul a guy shooting. Smh 🤦♂️
He said they tried to foul and the quick pass made it hard, they didn’t wanna give up the 4 point play. It was 100000 IQ by Boston

sorry, how can u have 2 insteads in one sentence?
They are all older than him so they can all him by his first name all they want

Best team won. This will be the closest game of the series. Boston in 4. JB and Jrue are DAWGS

Celtics are lucky Indiana gave it away
twice lol
Luck this luck that, well…that’s how the game goes. Teams are also lucky when injuries happened 🤷♂️. Your point is dumb.
Idk man Jaylen brown made some good plays.
Jrue holiday made great plays
Jayson Tatum finished strong
Sounds like the Celtics earned the win

Aaaaand? First time watching sports?

Super suspect. Haliburton out here placing bets or something?
@@mosin9349him and Tatum, who threw like 3 passes to either out of bounds or the other team. At least he made up for it in OT tho ig
