They definitely scouted him and saw his work at Feyenoord. Scouted him for his views on managing a team and not based on success. (European success) he did great with Feyenoord.
He also did great with AZ, he was 1st in the league with Ajax at that moment but covid stopped the season. AZ is usually a top5 club, so that was also very promising.@@birdland85

This man has brought so much joy back here at Feyenoord. This man was such a pleasure to listen to when he was interviewed and still is. Hope you enjoy him as much as we did.
I love the simple changes he's implemented. Like not being in the squads whatsapp group and not going into the changing room at the Axa. He's giving the players space to talk freely without fear of being judged by the staff, and trusts that if there is an issue the players or the captains will come to him. Its a small thing, but it is a great insight in the mentality and culture he's building into the club.
Arne Slot has been the perfect one, he's come to stay and we'll enjoy the relationship whether good or bad. I like the way he drags Klopp into most of his speeches ever since he's been in LFC. Klopp has prepared the ground for the Messiah.
Having the player sleep at home before home matches makes complete sense. I'm surprised that wasn't always the case under Klopp - Players spend enough time together on the road, let them relax with their families the night before a match.
For young guys, sleeping at home often doesn’t mean a quiet, early night. Lots have young kids, or even gaming addictions (see Jota, Diogo) that mean the last thing they get is a full night’s sleep.

That is not what he thought at all. Liverpool have specifically selected a manager with a playing style (high press) which has similarities with Klopp. Slot has always played this style and very succesfylly at his 2 former clubs
I am a ADO Den Haag fan but i really, really like Arne. He is such a good mananger, he understands how players think and make every player better. LIverpool is really lucky

There wasn't a lot of "hype" around most of the fans with the appointment even though we all got onboard, especially after Klopp's magnificent effort to welcome him, but he's been fantastic so far in his media presentation and I like what we see on the pitch so I'm really hopeful. Great interview.

Glimmers of the football have been reminding me a little of prime United, who were scary good, the speed of thought and one or two touch, bypassing half the opposition until they fall deeper and deeper, grind them into submission. what an amazing manager we've got here. Shows humility and respect to Klopp and the players left behind for him. Started the season brilliantly and wouldn't surprise anyone if he ends up winning in his debut season. The key difference Slot has is his rotation and lower intensity - which will translate to less fatigue and injury which Klopp struggles with.

As a fellow Dutchman, I do feel sorry for him. He did really well as a manager over here, but he seems unfit for England. Perhaps Germany would suit him better. Can't imagine the man learning Spanish, French or Italian for a job there.
Despite the Forest hiccup, Arne's Liverpool has played exactly like we've expected it to play: attacking football with multiple chances and goals. He seems like the excellent fit for the club considering he's got Jurgen's shoes to fill. He's got my full support, and I have no doubt that he'll bring us some much desired silverware.
That's the difference between his situation and Ten Hag who has to try to rectify a terrible player culture before addressing the football issues. It will be the same for any manager who replaces him
