Hi everyone! I'm aware of an audio issue with this video that if you're listening through headphones, you can only hear me out of the left ear. A quick fix is to play the audio out of speakers instead. Sorry for the inconvenience! (I've since purchased a new mic and this will be a problem of the past!)
Why did you purchase a new mic lol It was probably set to mono. In your editing software you can just copy the mono channel to both stereo feeds ti simulate both ears. Literallt no one can tell the difference (unless you're a asmr stereo gooner channel)
Agree man I was running assail for so long and just switched to smite with empowered psyonics , I play a full support psyker and it’s absolutely insane to help save teams wipes
You run exorcist on blaze sword as well and those times when your clearing with melee your peril is cleared and your ready to go with more smite , I think it’s a great combo
Smite heavily devisive. Personally i hate it often because id prefer the damage and active participation of 25% of the team, but every now and then a huge pack of crushers is held in place by the smiter and i like it again
With empowered psyonics it deals enough damage to end anything smaller than a mauler without having to meditate. Considering I can get entire hordes stunlocked and then burn out their brains, I feel like I have plenty damage and participation. I admit I dont do much damage against bosses, but with KInetic Deflection I can block a deamon host for weeks if I have to. My team once left me alone in a corner with a demon host bullying me, dealt with a horde and when they came back I was still alive.
@2MeterLP I spent a week playing smite on high auric and fell in love again. The people criticising and bad players don't realise you can hold hordes to reposition, and then guaranteed stagger them to move in an clear. Smite is absolutely godtier. Havoc has shown how smite and bubble have a strong place in the meta

I always use smite with empowered psyonics. The best crowd control is death. My teammates can focus on the big enemies because they can trust that I got the entire horde covered and they wont be getting back up.
This was an informative and useful video. I used to use that smite/venting shriek build, but I ended up moving over to bubble smite instead. I also use empowered psionics, but I'd just keep smite going until enemies died (holdover from the venting shriek build). That tip about releasing smite to push enemies down works really well for the bubble smite build. I use the lightning staff and Illisi force sword (I just prefer them), but I'll give the shock maul and bolt pistol a try, especially when the Unlocked update shows up later this month. You mention that there's a link to your build near the end of the video, but I didn't see any such link. Is this your Stronghold build on your channel?
Good video! Only gripe is the voice in the left ear only. Otherwise I appreciate the tips on how to unleash my inner Palpatine while still being useful to the team.
There’s definitely a learning curve to Psyker! The low health and the additional peril mechanic make it difficult to learn but stick at it. One tip is don’t feel like you’re forced to use the staves from the start, sometimes using the normal weapons helps you get a feel for the class and the abilities before you begin to use the class specific weapons! 😁
Wait? Are you telling me smite is for crowd control....and psykers are supposed to swap to their weapons to confirm kills? Could have fooled me with how many psykers I've seen doing the opposite even in Auric missions.

(my fault for editing with speakers and not headphones) I can’t fix it without taking the whole video down and re-uploading! I’d suggest watching without headphones to avoid my voice in only one ear!
I never managed to enjoy using the revolvers, I probably just need to give them another go with the right blessings! I like the bolt pistol due to it's ability to stagger most targets and it's a one and done reload. It also sounds really good!
@@PulledPurk the second revolver uses speed reload at the expense of braced aiming, whereas the first revolver can be aimed. The second one is more fun and shoots faster. Carries more ammo as well

Smite is insanely good. It has made all other classes feel boring to me. It's one of the best "chain lightning" style attacks in any game.

Holding smite nerfs all difficulties and venting shriek does an ok damage on a huge number of enemies at 100% peril

It probably is! I find auric damnation missions have a smaller player pool so you end up matchmaking with the same really good players.

You can, but it takes a while! The main use for smite is excellent quick crowd control rather than flat out damage. 😁

But the....the bolt pistol is ass. Just use the stub revolvers, more damage, easier aim, faster draw times, and faster follow ups.

I wish you could just swap the cylinder to reload, or use moon clips
