Sweet probably long been dead cause he got hella caught up in gang shit especially since in GTA San Andreas due to the fact that he was dedicated to it, unfortunate he never made changes plus I know that before, during and after the events of SA, Seville Boulevard & Temple Dr families were continuously beefing and split with Grove (that one mission, Sweet’s Girl). Kendl probably still with Cesar but living the quiet life. CJ making boss moves as usual and not to mention left the gang/hood mentality, don’t blame him not one bit.
The reason Ballas were able to take over Grove Street is because CJ realised that gangbanging sucks and eventually led his folks to a better life of riches, fame and friendship. There literally was nothing left for them at Ganton. If anything, the Ballas got the short end of the stick.
What happened to characters and gangs if they leave LS. CJ: Still has everything and rich and has a friends. Sweet: He probably listened to CJ and moved on, having a better life. Who knows maybe he can still take care of old Families. Cesar and Kendl: They both married and still have a garage business in San Fierro. Cesar left his gang Aztecas and Aztecas now on their own. Grove Homies. They can stay in gang and die right now or walk away having their own life. Ballas and Vagos: Maybe they stayed as true gangsters and taken over LS but they got nothing achieved. They are still same old gangbangers that selling drugs and living in slums.
I do wish that if GTA 5 haves Grove Street Families forever but now the ballas take over and now..Welp I should chill with the Other sets like: Davis Neighborhood Families Forum Drive Families Carson Avenue Families And Chamberlian Gangster Families

This actually makes a lot more sense than my initial assumption that the Grove was lost twice. It wasn't, CJ turned legit by the end of San Andreas, and helped the rest of his friends and the gang do so as well.
That's how it's suppsoed to be. In the hood, you kill people and sell drugs because that's the only way you can make money. Once you make the money, you get out and start your life anew away from the danger. That's the whole point and a lotta people miss it thinking people like having to live under a hail of bullets and cops over you all the time.

I don’t understand why GTA Online didn’t capitalize on gang territory takeover updates. Especially if we were able to name our gang and rival the gangs in the game like Ballas Vagos Aztecas etc. and even other GTA Online players gangs too to rival some territories from each other. How awesome would that of been being able to custom make your own gang with the NPC’s you can get following you and call for backup like how you would call merryweather. Now that would make way more sense if everyone was killing each other in free mode. At least there would be a plot in gang wars which would be a ton more fun and make the griefing make more sense and not just be randomly killing for no reason at all.

For example : In that mission some of the Ballas will mention about how they take over grove street from the families, And this video is another proof. CJ, Sweet, and other gang member could be existed in this universe but maybe they have different personalities and their achievement is different from GTA SA, well maybe CJ didn't stole a Jetpack in this universe because its too unrealistic.

I believe in my hypothesis is that CJ kinda wanted a new life & a new change & got a big promotion as a CEO or some sort, mentioned by Franklin in mentioning the Grove Street Families dialogue. As for Sweet he probably stayed back in Grove Street to defend his hood with his Grove Street Families gang & probably got killed & out numbered by the Ballas. Hence the reason why the Ballas have taken over that hood & street now.
That's why I think that seperating the HD and 3D universes is unneccessary and a bad idea. What happened in the 3d universe has happened in the HD universe anyway. If they have troubles connecting new characters with all the old ones in the new GTA games, then they can just choose not to. But at least let us feel that the old characters are doing something somewhere else.
For me, they're all canon. I don't care what Rockstar said, it's all unexplained bullshit excuse for them not to continue the storyline of the older GTAs
So how did Tenpenny and Pulaski left CJ in Angel Pine by car if it's not connected to Los Santos by land? Also, there's no Blaine County in GTA SA, no Zancudo river, no Grand Senora desert, Mount Chilliad is on a very different location... Some things that happened in the 3D universe are not possible in the HD universe.

watching this after the new DLC dropped where my boy Franklin ended up what could have CJ ended up after GTASA’s story, and what franklin said about CJ really made sense (being CEOs) because that’s what he ended up as well in future after GTAV’s story, so awesome 🔥

My version of what happened In early 1993 while the Families was in Grove Street a Ballas raid happened and the Families failed to retake the turf so CJ and Sweet and Kendl escaped but sadly Sweet was spotted by a Ballas member and got shot in the back and died and then the Ballas tried to find CJ and Kendl but they escaped to San Fierro and now CJ is living his life in wealth after GSF got destroyed in 1993 and so the Families had to find another turf
But how do you just find another turf?? How do families just disappear? How can you just leave if your house is there? How can the ballas just take over real estate like that? How are they just living there now?
My headcanon is that CJ and the gang moved away from Los Santos and retired in Las Venturas. After all he's a shareholder for Woozie's Four Dragons Casino. He did do management jobs there before heading back to Los Santos, and Madd Dogg also acknowledge CJ's natural management skills. Him and the homies is definitely moving up in society in my headcanon.

I envision what already happened. By now, CJ and Sweet are in their 50's and that age they are considered veteran OG's and most veteran OG's are retired by then. It would be weird to still see them in the hood gang bangin. Based on the gta story, CJ seemed to have moved beyond the hood and beyond gang bangin. He hooked up with Madd Dogg as his manager and found success, and CJ and Sweet dominated The OG Ballas and Vagos, took over the turfs, and conquered all of their enemies [C.R.A.S.H, Big Smoke, Ryder, The Ballas, The Vagos, The Rifas, etc.] and CJ and Sweet already avenged the death of their mother and deceased homies. Their was nothing left for The Grove to prove, and their was nothing in the hood left for them and [as I believe] CJ and Sweet gave up the hood and the gang bangin lifestyle behind and moved out of the hood, and the newer generation ballas just swooped back in and took over The Grove. Carl is now Madd Doggs manager, and he was able to turn all his illegal money and turn it into legal money and branch out into legit businesses.

I hope that , GTA VI will make some references about Johnson Brothers from Grove Street . Because , Ken Rosenberg came to San Andreas from Vice City . And expect from Vice City, all other in-game cities have came to HD from 3D .
San Andreas had 2 other cities but since GTA 5 is only in Los Santos San Ferrio and Las Ventures don't appear in the game so the cities we haven't seen yet are San Ferrio, Las Ventures, and Vice City

my theory is that CJ and sweet moved out and Cesar and Kendl have their own lives as well, then some where down the years newer generation of ballas (younger ones) formed and wanted to take over and were successful due to CJ and sweet being absent from the grove and the city of Los Santos became different and Grove Street bridge was removed after tenpenny killed himself with the firetruck because they thought it was dangerous so they put a street there and got rid of the street behind CJ and Ryder's house and decided to move the tracks from the original place to behind Sweet's house and there was a sewer or alley way that was the car rack truck exploded and they made that a road and train track and got rid of that stadium behind it and moved it to where the pizza place in San Andreas was that city changed alot in 21 years GTA 5 was released in real life in 2013 and was set in the present time so that means when we play GTA 5 it's now set in 2022, but if we play GTA San Andreas it's still in 1992 because that was it's year it took place in even though it came out in real life in 2004.

Man rockstar should just have this one big rockstar universe where characters and maps from all these games exist in one universe. I wanna know what happened to Sweet, is he still even alive? I liked Sweet in GTA:SA and nothing is mentioned of him after the game. I would like to think CJ by the time of GTA V is like a multimillionaire businessman and record label with several legitimate businesses in all of San Andreas. I always considered the 3D era and HD era as 2 different multiverses. Yeah there is some similarities but different scenarios happened. Say all you want but they're completely different overall.

I don’t understand why GTA Online didn’t capitalize on gang territory takeover updates. Especially if we were able to name our gang and rival the gangs in the game like Ballas Vagos Aztecas etc. and even other GTA Online players gangs too to rival some territories from each other. How awesome would that of been being able to custom make your own gang with the NPC’s you can get following you and call for backup like how you would call merryweather. Now that would make way more sense if everyone was killing each other in free mode. At least there would be a plot in gang wars which would be a ton more fun and make the griefing make more sense and not just be randomly killing for no reason at all.

I believe in my hypothesis is that CJ kinda wanted a new life & a new change & got a big promotion as a CEO or some sort, mentioned by Franklin in mentioning the Grove Street Families dialogue.
As for Sweet he probably stayed back in Grove Street to defend his hood with his Grove Street Families gang & probably got killed & out numbered by the Ballas.
Hence the reason why the Ballas have taken over that hood & street now.

That's why I think that seperating the HD and 3D universes is unneccessary and a bad idea. What happened in the 3d universe has happened in the HD universe anyway. If they have troubles connecting new characters with all the old ones in the new GTA games, then they can just choose not to. But at least let us feel that the old characters are doing something somewhere else.
For me, they're all canon. I don't care what Rockstar said, it's all unexplained bullshit excuse for them not to continue the storyline of the older GTAs

My version of what happened
In early 1993 while the Families was in Grove Street a Ballas raid happened and the Families failed to retake the turf so CJ and Sweet and Kendl escaped but sadly Sweet was spotted by a Ballas member and got shot in the back and died and then the Ballas tried to find CJ and Kendl but they escaped to San Fierro and now CJ is living his life in wealth after GSF got destroyed in 1993 and so the Families had to find another turf

My headcanon is that CJ and the gang moved away from Los Santos and retired in Las Venturas. After all he's a shareholder for Woozie's Four Dragons Casino. I envision what already happened. By now, CJ and Sweet are in their 50's and that age they are considered veteran OG's and most veteran OG's are retired by then. It would be weird to still see them in the hood gang bangin. Based on the gta story, CJ seemed to have moved beyond the hood and beyond gang bangin. He hooked up with Madd Dogg as his manager and found success, and CJ and Sweet dominated The OG Ballas and Vagos, took over the turfs, and conquered all of their enemies [C.R.A.S.H, Big Smoke, Ryder, The Ballas, The Vagos, The Rifas, etc.] and CJ and Sweet already avenged the death of their mother and deceased homies. Their was nothing left for The Grove to prove, and their was nothing in the hood left for them and [as I believe] CJ and Sweet gave up the hood and the gang bangin lifestyle behind and moved out of the hood, and the newer generation ballas just swooped back in and took over The Grove. Carl is now Madd Doggs manager, and he was able to turn all his illegal money and turn it into legal money and branch out into legit businesses.

my theory is that CJ and sweet moved out and Cesar and Kendl have their own lives as well, then some where down the years newer generation of ballas (younger ones) formed and wanted to take over and were successful due to CJ and sweet being absent from the grove and the city of Los Santos became different and Grove Street bridge was removed after tenpenny killed himself with the firetruck because they thought it was dangerous so they put a street there and got rid of the street behind CJ and Ryder's house and decided to move the tracks from the original place to behind Sweet's house and there was a sewer or alley way that was the car rack truck exploded and they made that a road and train track and got rid of that stadium behind it and moved it to where the pizza place in San Andreas was that city changed alot in 21 years GTA 5 was released in real life in 2013 and was set in the present time so that means when we play GTA 5 it's now set in 2022, but if we play GTA San Andreas it's still in 1992 because that was it's year it took place in even though it came out in real life in 2004.

I love the families homies, but the Forum Drive Families is me and Lamar's set, so that's the best. In GTA: SA, Grove Street Families is the best, because they stayed real and never gave into to the drugs, like the other sets did.
