This could work, but you absolutely would need to split the video and audio (separate mic device). Wouldn't hear the motor probably. Yeah, again, this could work.

I can hear the focus motor. It's not too bad. Then again I'm used to it. I have the lens and I use it on my good ol' K-5II.

Compared to other videos, I watch on RUclips, it’s focusing much slower and much much much louder

The DC motor on my copy died, if you can believe that.
