I’ve been doing this making your own hyaluronic acid trick for a loooong time. However, my skin is not oily anymore, so I mix mine up looser, so I can use a dropper bottle. Every night, while my skin is damp, I squirt some in my palm & add drops of organic marula oil to in, mix it between my palms & put it on my face. I use 8 drops hyaluronic + 3 drops marula on my face, neck & chest. I add more marula for my arms & legs. I live in Florida & have gotten a lot of sun. Now I’m 60 and literally get carded when ordering drinks. The waitresses are all amazed. Most people guess I’m 40. Sometimes men think I’m in my 30s. It’s the skin care. It’s the bomb, baby. Can’t recommend it enough.

Wow! Thanks for the tip! I’ve been using this since I was 27.. I am now 59. I put it on my face, neck and forehead. People are surprised when I tell them my age! I have the neck of a 25 year old! I was told about this when I moved to Florida... I used Ashley skin nutrition products. The hyaluronic serum cost me about $40 a bottle! I’m so grateful!

@@1951mytube followed your instructions. Got same HA and mixed it up, as directed, keeping it in the fridge. After face wash and showering i apply thin film over wet skin, i let it dry (a bit) and then use the tomato oil, one or two drops all over face and neck, upper chest and finally, over with small amount of my organic moisturizer, over it all. Alone, the HA got too tight (?) And seemed to "crack" ... must apply oil and moisturizer on top or it's like a mask ... took 2 days for lines to blend away. I noticed that i do need to do am and pm to keep them at bay cause i smoke and that creases the upper and lower lip. I was going to also do the routine and use a gentle face tape over one stubborn line on lower lip that is still kinda dominant (the tape, properly used overnite, helps smooth out the line, too) but i thought to do a HA treatment and then lay on tape to see if i could get rid of this small crease, quicker, though continuing regime may also plump it up, overtime, as well ... now i also only sleep on my back, sleeping on face smashes and makes lip lines worse. Hope that helps you!

But that’s what this video is all about. She said that buying bottles of hyaluronic acid got far too costly for her and then she found this powder which makes tons of hyaluronic acid for a lot less money. So recommending other costly ingredients to mix with it defeats the cost saving. And how is rose water “better”? In what way? If you put hyaluronic acid on damp skin followed by an occlusive moisturizer, the distilled water would be perfectly fine. Those who have more disposable income can add expensive ingredients but that is NOT what this video is teaching.

Hyaluronic acid cannot be absorbed when applied topically, which is why sodium hyaluronate is needed in the serum. Sodium hyaluronate is the salt of hyaluronic acid and it has a much lower molecular size. This gives it the ability to penetrate skin when applied topically, which is why it works in creams and other potions. If you use just hyaluronic acid alone, it will make your skin feel tight but it is temporary. It's when the acid is absorbed into the dermal layers where it can continually hold in moisture.

    • @AngelaVEdwards
      @AngelaVEdwards 5 лет назад +5

I don't know if others are willing to do this but for "absorption" I've used DMSO cream (found on Amazon) in my skincare routine. I have done it for years and years and never had anything negative happen because of it. But it will for sure make all your skin products absorb.

You can definitely find videos on youtube about it if you really want to know which ones to get and how to use it. (Because in asian skin care, there are steps and a process. I feel it makes the day moisturizer and night retinoids in my case work even more effectively. I never use it alone as used alone will make dry skin feel even drier. Vitamin c is not a preservative. It is an antioxidant. It won't stop bacteria, mold or yeast from growing in your mixture. It will do wonders for your skin though so it's a nice additive, for sure. When the mix turns yellow/Orange it means the vitamin C has oxidized and it's not even working ad an antioxidant any more. The most effective would be L-ascorbate powder. Vitamin c vitamins won't work.

Hey there again - I couldn't find my first comments - but wanted you to know i had a break though - i was following the steps as in exfoliate, leave skin wet, apply HA, then other products (I made my HA with Rose Water - smells awesome!) ... any way ... i was not seeing much affects other than that first week when i lost the deeper smokers winkles - the finer ones and larger pores were being "stubborn" - so I switch to exfoliate, put on my moisturizer, my sea buckthorn (acne) and then the HA ... OMGOSH what a difference! - doing it this way - FOR ME - as the last product applied has done an incredible job ... my skin is plump, soft, glowing - CAN'T THANK YOU ENUF!!!!!!! Fantastic advice.
also - some one said something about how the COST of mixing it with the rose water was too expensive and defeated the cost savings - that little HA jar of powder will ultimately make enough product to last 8 weeks, (I use it twice a day) - and the 6 tsp of rose water to prep the jell is about 8oz total ... to pay for a commercially available product - $20 (for really cheap HA cream for the same amount used) at the least x 8 weeks = $160 while THIS combo, HA $17 + rose water = $10 for 8 oz (amazon - www.homedepot.com/p/Vestil-61-in-x-25-in-Portable-Carpet-Dolly-with-Pneumatic-Wheels-CARPET-45/205722646) would be around $27 out of pocket for the same amount over 8 weeks - and you get quality without added chemicals, perfume, etc, etc - hope that helps see the true value package you are recommending.

  • @dahanler1599

Anything that has water (moisture) in it, is enough of an environment for bacteria and fungi to start growing asap. You could keep this in the fridge for maybe 4 days and the first bacteria will be there (you won't be able to see/smell it, but it will be there). I advise you to mix a new one every week (or even every 3-4 days) and keep it in the fridge (!!)
    Or:
    1. Use distilled water
    2. Boil your distilled water for 20 min at least,
    3. Use a pump bottle (harder for bacteria to get in)
    4. All utensils/bottle need to be sterile (alcohol helps with this)
    6. Use a preservative (!!!) OR throw it away after 3 days.
Not 'any' preservative. You can use one with PARABEN inside, which is one of the safest if you are doing things at home and can't have a sterile environment (you just can't). Preservatives aren't easy to use either, they work only in certain pH levels/viscosities/etc. This all needs time/knowledge/and money to spend on.
You just can't DIY everything. I'm sorry. Sometimes buying is better than DIY for real reasons.
This is why we cook fresh every time and don't store homemade stuff in the fridge for longer than a week maybe. Or you ferment/dry/freeze food. This is called preservation. The same goes for cosmetics.

I have bought several different skin care products from Piping Rock so that I can make up my own face cream with all of the ingredients that I want to use on my face. As I'm older now I use the same cream for morning and night and I am now getting positive feedback from friends as well as strangers! After seeing this I am tempted to try to make up whatever is available in powder form and see how I like it. The thing of it is hydraulic acid comes in multi weight molecules which means the smaller weight molecules can actually penetrate the top skin level. That is important because if you only have the larger weight molecules it will not penetrate the skin and therefore it will suck all the moisture up and out of the deeper levels of your skin, leaving you dry dry dry.

Vitamin C helps build collagen in the skin and body. Cosmidex makes a powdered vitamin C too it's expensive though lasts for a long time. You can mix it in any of your skincare products. You should only add it upon each use. It is unstable in liquid.

I also make my own acv...(organic apples)...but it's a hassle..so I just buy it in store...unless you have an apple tree...I suggest you make your own acv..

    Hi Amber.
You look so much like my friend!
I want to than you for the tutorial. It came out perfect & like you said it would. I appreciate your clear & simple approach. I'm tired of the slapsticks, scientists & the never "getting to the point" tutorials. I was glad to note that I ended up buying the same brand you had & have no end-result complaints. TY🌹Amber.

I thought the title meant how to organically make the stuff. The powder is already sodium hyaluronate.

I started using mine. Skin looks great. I have mine in a blue bottle with a dropper too hard to get out since it's a jello consistency. Next time I will put it in a squeeze bottle.

This is a great idea. Hyaluronic acid needs moisture in the air, according to chemists, or it will draw it from your body. An occlusive as simple is glycerine or a beauty product with glycerin within the first 2-3 ingredients will help retain moisture. The best environment for hyaluronic acid usage is one of moisture, as in rainy climates. One drop of hyaluronic acid equals 64 oz of water. So, more is not considered “better.” In the winter, if you live in a dry climate, or heating dries out the air in your home, place a cool air humidifier. I think you’ve found a solution that could save many women a lot of money! I might try this, however I may dilute it even more, as larger molecules may not allow for absorption. You could share what your experience has been, based on your formulation. I believe you did mention to pat it into the skin while it is still damp. This is a great idea! The powder mixed with spring or alkaline water should offer a much less expensive solution! Thank you for sharing! Many blessings to you.

Hi, thank you for sharing this. I had no idea and I worked in the beauty industry. Should i mix it with just rosewater? what is the ratio powder to liquid? And should i still use my normal moisturiser with this gel? If so what first gel or moisturiser. I would appreciate your advise. It is mega expesive on amazon in the Uk so my brother is sending it over from the states. Thank you 🙋🙋
