I have been running into a dumlracer issue for hours now. It errors out while uploading payload 1. Says: (Exception in thread "main" org.apache.commons.net.ftp.FTPConnectionClosedException: Connection closed without indication). I have no idea, I've tried changing usb ports on the computer, clearing the sd card on the mavic, and updated it to the latest firmware when i discovered it was out of date. Please help.
Hi there, I'm trying this on my mavic air ( with mavic air firmware of course ) but i keep getting connection refused in terminal, would you have any idea why? Nice video, thanks. Didn’t work for me though, firmware wouldn’t load on the installed SD card, via Mac. iMac all recent versions. Ran Parallels Desktop to do it via Windows10, that worked! Seems to me the Win software is further in development. All good in the end running latest fw with mods, all happy here!

I have firmware 1.04.300 (Just updated to that bc I was on 1.04.100 and thought that might be the problem) but it says error about my firmware not being found or something... Please if you can answer. I have been trying for over 2 weeks trying to get this to work. Just want to be able to fly above 500m ??? Thanks!!! This method above seems very tidiuos and the other was much much easier. Seems to have worked for you but I cannot get it to work... Thank you PS: The Polybotes site no longer works so the custom firmwares are not downloadable so I cannot even try this method if worse comes to worse...
just a quick question i am running a modded dji go 4 app v 4114 does it still check that the battery firmware is correct and prompt you to update if needed ? or do i need to flash for each battery that i have ?
hmm, thats a good question. I think it sill checks for the battery firmware, but not 100% sure. I honestly cancel/ignore those, i like newer updates because they address some cold weather issues and i fly in cold weather :)

hi i just re flashed modded 104000 and one of my batteries did update itself at 25% in, the other one didnt , had no prompt to update in the go app so flashed anyway to be on the safe side, app version 413

Following the video. i get to the part where i run the DUMLFlasher jar file. I get prompted for a port number (3), it runs through connecting, sending, enabling, uploading payload, sending files, starting flashand exiting. Using Assistant 1.1.2_2 it doesnt show any progress bar , just says " cannot load firmware list". Going to Assistant 1.2.3, it shows my firmware at (current) V01.04.0200 (no minus sign). If i try to run the DUMLFlasher jar a second time it says "couldn't open port, exiting). Any suggestions please......

Same story as I am experiencing. I waited over 30 minutes this afternoon, still no update. I am running on MAC OSX V10.13.4, (interestingly when I downloaded both the jar files for DUML*****, I got a message at the bottom left of my screen saying that these files are potentially dangerous. I assume this is a precautionary message and not an indication of genuine danger ) DUMLRacer jar file shows as 576KB, and DUMLFlasher jar file shows as 572KB in size

So I followed everything to the T however when I get to the command java -jar dumlracer.jar AC the process starts and only gets as far as Race 1 has started. Sadly nothing happens after that. Any thoughts? I did do a reboot and try a few times without success. I am on the most recent firmware, would that have anything to do with it?

Thanks for the video, all the steps are clear and easy to put into practice. After a day of piloting, Dji Go informs me that a new version is available firmware 1.04.0300. Is it necessary to update ? can the drone behave differently if the last update isn't made ?
Any info on this? Why is the guide saying to install 0100 when the title says 0300. Should I have any issues? I'm currently on 01.04.0300 with mixed modules. My steps: I rolled back to 700, rooted and deleted the NFZ database, then upgraded to 01.04.0300 while taking out modules 305, 306, and 905. Haven't flown the drone yet so I don't know if everything is working properly.
i am using p4p+ under firmware V01.05.0300 ,it has camera flip issue, was fixed by firmware V01.05.0600,but on the Custom Rolled Firmware folder there is no .0600 firmware, how can i request with that website?thank you

Hi, my Mavic Pro is an early 2017, so I assumed I don't need the internal SD. My stock firmware is V01.03.0400. I ran the DUMLRacer with no problem and the Assistant 1.2.4 shows "01.03.0400-". I then run the DUMLFlasher many times and the version still remains at "01-03-0400-". For most part of the update, it stuck at 60% and then very quickly rebooted the MP. There might had been some error in the update process but it probably flash on the screen too quickly to read it. I then tried to update on the Assistant 1.2.4 on the official firmware 01.04.0300 and also had error and update failed (I tried twice). So now my firmware remains at 01.03.0400- . but I can still connect with my RC and GO 4 App. Any advice?

I followed the steps in the video, and everything went smoothly. I'm about to go test it in a nearby NFZ (an old abandoned airfield). If I just want to be able to launch and fly (VERY LOW) in a NFZ, are the only 2 parameters that I need to change: g_config_airport_limit_cfg_cfg_disable_airport_fly_limit -> change 0 to 1? g_config_airport_limit_cfg_cfg_limit_data -> change 20150910 to 20250910 Thanks in advance for your help! Thanks! NFZ works great! I would probably leave it at this firmware forever, BUT the GIMBAL HEAD-CONTROL doesn't work with DJI Goggles, which is probably my favorite thing to do with the goggles. Is there a work around for this? Or have you heard of this issue before? Thanks again! You Da Man.

some of them, yes. Some no. Like the height removal, has to be a 1 or 2. The tilt has to be a full number, no decimel. But, the speeds can be a decimal.

thats strange. i would 1) make sure you run dumldore as admin 2) reboot the devie 3) connect ftp 192.168.42.2 before starting the update .. it should do it. If not, you can always try dumldore v2

I rolled back mavic platinum (2017/11) to 1.04.0100. I also inserted the sd card. Only when I took off, the USB could not be connected to the pc, and the RC could not connect with the platinum. Please save my mavic platinum. I am coming to Taiwan, I beg you.

After I did the roll back and then go into DJI GO App it says Warning my aircraft status needs to update.. Can I update without fucking up the roll back?
Hi @digdat0 Can you please help with my following problem? It is very urgent. So I tried your method described in the video on my MAVIC PRO PLATINUM and after I ran dumlflasher on my aircraft the second time, my aircraft started losing connection with the MAC, I tried : 1)unplug and replug the cable and reboot the aircraft 2)Formatted my SD card and reboot the aircraft and connect to the MAC The connection still can not be established between either the MAC or RC and the aircraft Observation of the aircraft: The status LED light stays in SOLID RED mode. I did some research and it seems that SOLID RED means my aircraft is in critical error, I believe this happens due to mismatch between the downgraded firmware and the required firmware for running my aircraft, just my assumption. I researched and found out that we can technically upgrade/downgrade the aircraft firmware by installing firmware bin file into the SD card and put the SD card into the aircraft and it will automatically refresh the firmware inside the aircraft firmware, correct me if I am wrong. Now I just want my aircraft to run properly as before, I don't expect that I can modify my aircraft as described in your video after it's fixed, I can't guarantee that DJI staff will fix my aircraft even if I have DJI care refresh since I cause this problem by kinda violating their policy. Please let me know what I can do to save my aircraft T_T
Hello Mavic Pro firmware is successfully degraded from 1.04.0300 to 1.04.0100, and with modified parameters. I want to ask the remote controller. Now I am firmware is also 1.04.0100, mobile phone APP is DJIgo4 4.1.18 version, in the restricted zone, cell phone APP can be networked, not locked motor？Is there a limit on the firmware version of the remote control? Can you go to that version at the highest level? Is there a request for the APP version? What version can the highest version be available to? Tried the Android 4_4.1.3_v25 flight controller sn set trick but I'm not seeing the usual WIFI waring window when switching to the iphone or Crystalsky so I think it is not working. Any hint here? Earlier today I had a motor overload. Only appeared for a few seconds and went away with these settings. Anyone ever got this and had their drone fall out of the sky?

I also had this problem - the file was locked as a .crdownload file as my mac thought the download was a virus. If anyone has the same issue, you just need to go into chrome downloads and specify 'keep' on both duml files
Okay after many attempts I finally was able to downgrade my Mavic Pro down to version 01.03.0700. Now when I connect to the controller the controller displays "Main Controller Data Error" and does not respond to starting the motors. Also, the Overall Status messages are: "Data Record Error" "Data Logger Error. Contact DJI Support if this continues after restart" "Requires updates. Download updates from DJI GO Homepage" PLEASE ADVISE. Thanks, Mike
One more thing, you say type java-jar dumlracer.jar' but it looks like there's a space after java so 'java -jar dumlracer.jar', which is it sorry? You say one thing but what you type looks different, looks like there's a space

wait couple mins, assisatnt will show the update. sometimes it takes 2-5 mins to show. make sure your logged in.

The remote control says I am still in a NFZ. I thought this procedure changes the software on the drone. What am I not doing correctly??

Thanks for the video, all the steps are clear and easy to put into practice. After a day of piloting, Dji Go informs me that a new version is available firmware 1.04.0300. Is it necessary to update ? can the drone behave differently if the last update isn't made ?
you can ignore/cancel/bypass that message, no need to update and it shouldnt be mandatory.
However it will appear every time you start! Is it possible to delete this message ?
Is it safe to install the v01.04.0300 with mixed modules? Any reason that the guide prefers v01.04.0100?

Should I have any issues? I'm currently on 01.04.0300 with mixed modules. My steps: I rolled back to 700, rooted and deleted the NFZ database, then upgraded to 01.04.0300 while taking out modules 305, 306, and 905. Haven't flown the drone yet so I don't know if everything is working properly.

Hi, my Mavic Pro is an early 2017, so I assumed I don't need the internal SD. My stock firmware is V01.03.0400. I ran the DUMLRacer with no problem and the Assistant 1.2.4 shows "01.03.0400-". I then run the DUMLFlasher many times and the version still remains at "01-03-0400-". For most part of the update, it stuck at 60% and then very quickly rebooted the MP. There might had been some error in the update process but it probably flash on the screen too quickly to read it.
I then tried to update on the Assistant 1.2.4 on the official firmware 01.04.0300 and also had error and update failed (I tried twice).
So now my firmware remains at 01.03.0400- . but I can still connect with my RC and GO 4 App.
Any advice?

I followed the steps in the video, and everything went smoothly. I'm about to go test it in a nearby NFZ (an old abandoned airfield).
If I just want to be able to launch and fly (VERY LOW) in a NFZ, are the only 2 parameters that I need to change:
g_config_airport_limit_cfg_cfg_disable_airport_fly_limit -> change 0 to 1?
g_config_airport_limit_cfg_cfg_limit_data -> change 20150910 to 20250910

Thanks! NFZ works great! I would probably leave it at this firmware forever, BUT the GIMBAL HEAD-CONTROL doesn't work with DJI Goggles, which is probably my favorite thing to do with the goggles. Is there a work around for this? Or have you heard of this issue before?

some of them, yes. Some no. Like the height removal, has to be a 1 or 2. The tilt has to be a full number, no decimel. But, the speeds can be a decimal.

thats strange. i would 1) make sure you run dumldore as admin 2) reboot the devie 3) connect ftp 192.168.42.2 before starting the update .. it should do it. If not, you can always try dumldore v2

I rolled back mavic platinum (2017/11) to 1.04.0100. I also inserted the sd card. Only when I took off, the USB could not be connected to the pc, and the RC could not connect with the platinum. Please save my mavic platinum.

After I did the roll back and then go into DJI GO App it says Warning my aircraft status needs to update..

So I tried your method described in the video on my MAVIC PRO PLATINUM and after I ran dumlflasher on my aircraft the second time, my aircraft started losing connection with the MAC, I tried :
1)unplug and replug the cable and reboot the aircraft
2)Formatted my SD card and reboot the aircraft and connect to the MAC
The connection still can not be established between either the MAC or RC and the aircraft
Observation of the aircraft:
The status LED light stays in SOLID RED mode. I did some research and it seems that SOLID RED means my aircraft is in critical error, I believe this happens due to mismatch between the downgraded firmware and the required firmware for running my aircraft, just my assumption.
I researched and found out that we can technically upgrade/downgrade the aircraft firmware by installing firmware bin file into the SD card and put the SD card into the aircraft and it will automatically refresh the firmware inside the aircraft firmware, correct me if I am wrong.
Now I just want my aircraft to run properly as before, I don't expect that I can modify my aircraft as described in your video after it's fixed, I can't guarantee that DJI staff will fix my aircraft even if I have DJI care refresh since I cause this problem by kinda violating their policy.
Please let me know what I can do to save my aircraft T_T

Hello Mavic Pro firmware is successfully degraded from 1.04.0300 to 1.04.0100, and with modified parameters. I want to ask the remote controller. Now I am firmware is also 1.04.0100, mobile phone APP is DJIgo4 4.1.18 version, in the restricted zone, cell phone APP can be networked, not locked motor？Is there a limit on the firmware version of the remote control? Can you go to that version at the highest level? Is there a request for the APP version? What version can the highest version be available to? Please give a suggestion that the APP version of remote controller and mobile phone are most compatible with mavic pro. Thank you very much for your tutorials in detail.
all rc version is compatible with all firmare versions, ive never seen an issue. as for DJI Go, should work fine with the latest version no problem.

Getting the following error when trying to run java -jar dumlracer.jar AC from the Downloads director:

B3header14 I had the same problem. You need to make sure the file is in the Download folder if you are following the example provided in Terminal.
I also had this problem - the file was locked as a .crdownload file as my mac thought the download was a virus. If anyone has the same issue, you just need to go into chrome downloads and specify 'keep' on both duml files
Okay after many attempts I finally was able to downgrade my Mavic Pro down to version 01.03.0700. Now when I connect to the controller the controller displays "Main Controller Data Error" and does not respond to starting the motors. Also, the Overall Status messages are:
"Data Record Error"
"Data Logger Error. Contact DJI Support if this continues after restart"
"Requires updates. Download updates from DJI GO Homepage"
PLEASE ADVISE.

Does yours have a SD card?? Did you check the SN?
Update to 1.04.0000+ and it shold fix as long as the sd card is there.
Just checked the SN. My drone was manufactured in Dec 2017. I have not installed an SD card yet.
