As someone who likes to use MacBooks for 8+ years, is buying a 4400 dollar m3 MacBook Pro for the next 8 years a wise choice? (With windows I had to get a new windows laptop every 2 or so years.)

I would say, it’s worth it. Get Apple Care and you can keep the Mac for years. Apple Care is for any issue that comes up and it will make it much cheaper to replace the laptop if it comes to that. Knock on wood… But I have never had to replace any of my MacBooks to this day.. the only reason I get new ones is because I trade in and trade up for more powerful one. But these things. Before college I also used windows and every two years my windows laptop would have some stupid problem with it and I’d have to buy a new one
