Skyrim Battles - Zahkriisos vs. Savos, Ahzidal, Miraak, and more

- Zahkriisos is one of the named Dragon Priests on Solstheim. I have already dedicated episodes to Ahzidal and Dukaan, and now it's finally time for the last one!
The fight against Ahzidal is interesting, especially if we consider that Dukaan beat Zahkriisos pretty easily. There are two main reasons. First, Ahzidal can't summon a High Seeker for distraction, which makes a big difference for tanking some damage. Second, he needs a lot more magicka to cast his fire spell than Dukaan needs for his frost spell. Even under heavy shock attacks, Dukaan can usually still fight back, while Ahzidal has a much harder time and can get disabled completely for a while.

2. I don't know what's more impressive:
The fact that Miraak beat him with no Dragon Aspect or that he still had magicka to spare after being peppered with lightning for over a minute straight

2. Dragon Aspect doesn't do much for Miraak (much different than with the player), but I was surprised he had magicka left too! Miraak at level 150 is no joke 😂

@@RtoonCa It doesn't increase Miraak's damage in any way. It does increase his armor rating and fire resistance (not frost resistance), but those don't matter against Zahkriisos. I'm pretty sure it also doesn't affect his shout cooldowns because they already have a default recovery of 5 seconds. So Miraak is actually better off not wasting his time with that shout here 😄

"Dragon Aspect was not providing the specified frost resistance due to the 2nd AV Weight setting on DLC2DragonAspectBody02Effect being set to 0 instead of 1"
@@RtoonCa Ahh, I didn't know that specific, interesting. 🤔 Thanks for the info! I don't use the unofficial patch because it changes too much and it's not available anymore for Skyrim SE anyway (which is what I'm playing). I could probably fix it myself but Miraak's frost resistance is high enough already in my opinion 😂
Savos aren honestly got surprisingly close being a mage, although his dremora lord did a lot of help
Yup, his shock resistance really helped him out here!
He probably would have done it if the AI had been smarter.

Savos almost killing a Dragon Priest is insane considering he is like a baby compared to Master Neloth lmao
He can keep up with Neloth, but not according to Neloth himself 😆
A younger Savos Aren couldn't even kill Morokei.

This video is interesting indeed. Zahkriisos vs. Ahzidal fight - Zhkriisos "lemme give you a head start buddy" 🤣😂🤣😂. As with all undead, a good power attack ever so often will defeat them, just like the frost giant.

Wow. Very interesting that the Lurker lost to him, while the Frost Giant won. That charging smash attack of the Giant really won him the fight being able to cover ground quickly and put that heavy stagger on Zahkriisos. The Lurker just doesn't have as much staggering ability, and that cost him the fight, despite having signifcantly more health and regeneration. That fight with the Nightlord was super close. I'm curious if you ran any tests with the Nightmaster and if the results were any different. Very nice video as always Slender. I always look forward to your videos on the weekend.
The lurker doesn't have a sprinting power attack. The mage backing away actually makes it worse because it will trigger's a giant's sprinting power attack.
I found that interesting too, but after thinking about it, there are quite a few reasons why the Lurker lost but the Frost Giant didn't. Even though the Lurker has a lot more health, his regeneration gets disabled during Zahkriisos' attack, so it hardly matters.
The Lurker's magic resistance is also lower than the Frost Giant's, and his damage is as well. If he had not gone after the Seeker and focused on Zahkriisos at the beginning, like the Frost Giant did, he would have had a better chance. And of course, as both of you are saying, the stagger matters a lot!
I haven't tested a Nightmaster, but a Breton would probably win more consistently than the Nightlord. It's hard to tell though because it would probably still be a very close result and would need dozens of tests for an accurate outcome. 😅

@@brandonmorris7211 The thing with these modded behemoths is that they are typically weak to one element. The priests have that covered.

If Zahkriisos had a shout attack like the other 2 priests he’d be a next level threat. I know you’ve put the 3 Solstheim priests up against the ebony warrior but have you done it against Karstaag or a legendary dragon yet?
I haven't done that and probably won't. 😅 Putting them against Karstaag would be very unbalanced because it would depend entirely on who Karstaag focuses on. If he goes for Ahzidal first, he wins because Dukaan can't do any damage to Karstaag, and Zahkriisos can't even overcome Karstaag's regeneration rate.
If Karstaag goes for Ahzidal last, he will probably lose but it would be a boring fight with Dukaan doing nothing but floating around, and Zahkriisos hardly doing any damage either.
A legendary dragon would lose very easily. As for solo fights, the fire version is weak to frost, and Dukaan beats him.The frost version is weak to fire so Ahzidal would do well too.
Zahkriisos in a 1 vs. 1 is different because he would disable the dragon's breath attack, so he could only go for melee, which again would be a very boring fight with the dragon just flying around, not being able to attack. And when he lands, it will be difficult for him to catch up. So nope, I probably won't put something like that in a video 😅

Probably not consistently. I guess only from very rapid power attacks. I'll see if I can test it 🤔

How strong is the creepy traveler vampire?
Good question! He's leveled, and can spawn as a Nightmaster Vampire at best (although without a melee weapon), which I think is ridiculous considering he slays half of the towns on a regular base 😂

It should be a bit stronger but not as strong as the player version. That would be OP, especially considering his resistances. 😂
Yes, because Ahzidal needs a lot of magicka for his spell, and he doesn't have a summon

@@paulminotti77 That would cause more bugs than I can count, and even without that, it would take a long time for most rounds. 😂 I've already put the strongest Dragon Priests against each other anyway
