    Loved this demo. The song was superb, you should really consider writing more music and publish it. Would definately buy it. Strongly considering buying this amp and this demo helps a lot.

    Beautiful tune for a demo! Strongly considering getting one of these, they have that rectifier sound for a fraction of the cost.
    Only thing putting me off is apparently they are obscenely loud even for a 15w amp. I do gig from time to time but a lot of time will be spent in my house through a 1x12 so do you think it's a bit too loud for that? Unsure if it has a low power mode on it or not

    • @kaisound868
      @kaisound868  4 года назад +1

      Jonathan Kneale hey dude, so I accidentally shot this video on the 7 watt mode, so it sounds sick even like that. It is pretty loud but on half wattage it’s not too bad. That being said, my dad had a 5 watt Cornford, all valve and that thing is too loud for most apartments! Valves are just loud unless they have a 1 watt mode. My advice would be get it, and use a power break at home, then have the volume when you gig!

      @@kaisound868 Cheers for the response lad appreciate it! Think I'm just gonna go for it tbh I think it'll be fine with the 7w mode and I just adore the sound on this thing

      jaychen yet to try it, but it depends what for. I think this is classic Mesa Territory. Whereas the Invective is more modern from what I hear!

    I have it ,and as u said with an Overdrive (Ts808 mini in my case 0 gain - tone and level boost to taste) in front is perfect for Tight stuff and with the gain not even on 10 o'clock.
    But i experience a problem running the Helix in 4cable method... it seems like there'is something with inputs and outputs that make the sound "strange", do u know what may cause this ?
    ( this doesn't happen with regular analog pedals)

    • @kaisound868
      @kaisound868  5 лет назад

      hey! sadly I have no experience with the Helix, so I guess your best bet would be to contact Line 6 Support and try and get them to help you out!

    Sounds amazing!! Great job! I am thinking of getting this amp in the future. What cab would you recommend to pair with this? Would you recommend to go with a PRS cab? Or something like the Egnater that you have in your video? This would be my first head/cab separate unit amp. Thanks

    • @kaisound868
      @kaisound868  5 лет назад

      Hey there, thanks for the comment! I didn't actually use the Egnater for recording this demo. I used multiple cab impulses. However I think cabs are quite a personal thing, but I'm sure the PRS cab will be brilliant, thankfully I think we live in an age where most of whats out there is pretty good! The orange 112 is very popular, the Egnater is nice. Best bet is go try a couple!

    The clean channel has plenty headroom and is very hard to break.

    • @kaisound868
      @kaisound868  5 лет назад +1

      So I went and tried again, both on half power and on full power and in both modes with the volume at 12 o'clock, or 5.5 on the dial I can get breakup with the Schecter from the video. Below 4 I can get it crystal clean, and above 6/7 it will break up on hard chords. Perhaps if you've listened through a cab you wont notice this, but when going into an IR it is quite clear, though at full power and with the volume at 4 it is plenty clean for anything!

    Great vid man! So I own one and I’ve been struggling to get rid of the weird mid range this amp seems to have. It’s kind of hard to see but for the Schecter did you have the bass and mids around 8 o’clock or so? I’m sure the IR’s have something to do with it but again I couldn’t find a way to remove that nasally tone where yours sounds great. Thanks!

    • @kaisound868
      @kaisound868  5 лет назад +2

      Hey dude, in the video the amp settings do not reflect what was used in tracking. In tracking I had the bass at around 3.5, the mid at 6.5 the treble at about 7.5 and the presence at 6. I find with that mid range hump you boost the treble a touch and it squashes the mid down. I also think the power amp volume makes it worse, so generally having the Master at around 3-4.5 makes it sound a little more focused. Hope that helps!

      @xRiseAgainstx 5 лет назад +1

      Kai Sound Great info man, I’ll give that a shot. You could quite possibly keep me from selling this amp so thank you!

    • @kaisound868
      @kaisound868  5 лет назад

      Glad I could help! I find that on a lot of amps the controls affect each other, so sometimes moving another control can help fix the issue.

    • @denniscnf
      @denniscnf 5 лет назад

      Did you guys used a celestion vintage 30? I guess the mid range of the amp was made to combine to the vintage 30 mid boost sound.

    • @kaisound868
      @kaisound868  5 лет назад

      Hey Dennis, I'm not sure what speakers were in the impulses I used to be honest, but I tried to use as many popular cabs as I could to try and give a wide range of the tonal possibilities based on cab. Personally I loved the Soldano cab, but I thought it better to include others to help people better understand the tones possible.
