I love how openly affectionate Peter Stormare is. He seems like a genuinely lovely guy, which is quite a contrast from his typical roles.
That man just so easily shifts from a fantastic villain to a lovable goofball.
That's a Swede
I've met many actors, consistently the ones typecast as villains were the kindest and down to earth. Robert Patrick gave me nightmares as T-1000 in Terminator 2, then I meet him and he's just friendly and humble. It's surprisingly common
...and a brilliant actor.
I love how he manages to turn his pain into humor.
no shit, SHERLOCK
Robin Williams.....
Neil Swift He didn’t really joke about Prince’s passing which you could really tell hit him kinda hard😕
As they say, comedy is tragedy plus time.
The new special on Netflix is incredible.
"We used to have this whole notion in America that we could get rid of racism.. Thank God we stopped that!"

Whoever in the audience that was laughing so hard made my damn day.

So I'm alone in finding her/him very annoying? Maybe I'm cynical
@@user-zb8ss9xb1b You're just different. Nothing wrong with that.
@@animec-dramaskpop6362 yeah I am. Thanks for saying it really kindly!
I like how Chris kept including Patrick in the conversation. That's pretty cool! MAN, he's old enough to be his dad; incredible!😃
All I heard out of Patrick was his laugh.
"I gotta give her 30% of that sip I just took" 😂😂
He said the same joke on The Graham Norton Show
Still funny 😂. Dave chappelle told the oj story back in the early 2000s on Howard Stern ...funny is funny.
Classic Chris!
sweiland75 yeah because it ain't no joke when you have to pay alimony especially if it's for life
André Mc Farlane 😂
" we got a Cadillac, well I got a daddy!" LOLLL one of the many reasons I love Chris Rock and he's so open about his life in Everybody Hates Chris!
Chris Rock is genius. whoever supplies him with the youth elixir needs keep up the good work!

"I gotta give her 30% of that sip I just took" ROFL!!!! I just spat beer out my nose!
Learn from Chris Rock: Listen to that inner voice. The whisper. Don't dismiss it. Talk to someone about it that way you will have less regrets. It was very obvious to me that Chris Rock feels guilty for not telling Prince to watch his back.
"No one in this audience would trade places with me and I'm rich!" I love you Chris
That's absolute bullshit.
Only Chris Rock could say "I got divorced and lost all my money" and make everyone in the room laugh out loud.
he has to be one of the most infectious comedians alive . Simply simply love everything about Rock .
That smile!!
This is the most honest interview I have ever seen. Hearing Rock explain racism and American culture to Scandinavians is the best thing I could ever hope for. The presenters faces are so unsure and shocked its amazing.
"I am touring because I got divorced and lost all my money."
That's rough.
@@jamppa350 I think nobody laughed at that fact, but the way he said it. You look too far into what others think if that really is in your mind watching this. Have a nice day.
Whats the problem? Work your ass off since you were a teen and give the bulk of it over to your ex-wife who can't tell a joke to save her life.
The good news is while he goes back to work in what should be his golden years the ex is doing just fine and still not working.
It's hard to feel sorry for him. It's not like he married a bad woman, he literally deserved his divorce. Imagine being his wife getting cheated on and treated like that?
@@Dbee45 He's the one who chose to get married then cheat repeatedly on his wife ending his marriage. Hard to feel sorry for him.
@@littleripper312 cheating = millions of usd fines? I'm sorry she can leave but she doesn't deserve the money imo it ships money and his life. If he likes cheating that's on him.
The ease of the obscure European crowd talk show is why he opened up so much. It's like he felt like he was absorbed from the American media and no one would ever see it and he just let it all loose. It helps that he also seems to be tanked as hell in the interview.
This is one of the better talk shows I`ve seen. So relaxed. Great fun.
i think that's the most real touching honest thing anyone's ever said about Prince since his passing. Chris Rock, telling it like it is.
Very sad.
always. what a man.
The nervous looks on Peter's face when he started talking about the divorce, he was thinking "Chris, this Scandinavia don't... don't say it!"
Why can't he mention divorce in Scandinavia?
@@Wuudy Yes, why?
WHY????
I like that I see glimpses of the Chris, the pain, the hard times and his back story for bad company.
Chris is usually positive and to see the other sides of him when thinking through his past was a good watch.
My man was really dropping knowledge about Prince.
Sounds like he didn't trust the new people around him.
No Doubt!

Chris just has an infectious personality and charisma, on top of being hilarious!
The one guy laughing in the audience is my spirit animal lmao !! You can tell the guy is hurting , but man , he still manages to be funny as hell regardless
I love you Chris Rock... you give us real life monents, it is always very motivational and inspirational.
man works hard for years, wife takes everything, the crowd laughs and applauds. am i the only one who thinks that's messed up?
Probably. People use humour to get over almost anything. If you're unable to do that you're missing an important personality trait. Let's not forget, Chris Rock is a comedian, its his job to make people laugh regardless of the subject matter.
Tragedy is comedy plus booze. Or something no. No. Time and booze equals comedy?
Western legal system is against men by design.
How many divorced mothers go to prison for destroying the father-child relationship?
And can see it in him the indignation they've pushed on him by stealing his hard earnings
Bottom line
Don’t get married to todays ‘financial predators’
There are far too many examples of men’s lives being wrecked by ‘attractive’ financial predators.
This interview was freaking hilarious hahaha :)

Great interview, now I'm going to do a quick divorce scan.
Marriage is a partnership. Divorce dissolves that partnership. In the case where the man is the main earner and hits it big-time it's painfully clear that the woman is so glad this talented guy _picked her._ Then she starts to assert her view on the enterprise (i.e. HIM,) tries everything to tear it apart and walks away with half. Wait a minute. What?
Euro chat shows seem to be much more spontaneous and interesting
“Some of the money I’ll be able to keep” 😂😂😂 this mans going thru some shit, he’s about to be hilarious
It seems so effortless for him.
Thanks for posting this. Wouldn't have seen it here in the US.
Thank you for watching and commenting, we appreciate it!
I have always liked Chris Rock, but I forgot how funny he is. Hilarious! We need to hear more from him.
it's so crazy becaue years ago he did a standup strongly warning about how marriage/divorce/childsupport screw men over, and in the end he fell victim to the same trap :(
...he walked/ran into the trap!
he was already in the marriage and it was more of a warning
He cheated on his wife.. I think I remember hearing him say that he cheated with three different women.

I never get tired of watching Chris Rock. A genuinely, effortlessly funny man.
He id so intelligent. Wasn't his mother a school teacher?
Stormare is a riot. A great character actor and very versatile. He did a series of Volkswagen ads some years back that were hilarious.
I remember those ads as well. Hilarious. I've enjoyed his work over the years. He shows up in the strangest performances, to the point where you say "oh wow, that's him"...

Chris Rock is an AMAZING comedian. Top 5, hands down!!!
WOw!! I enjoyed this interview like it was a comedy special, lol
Yo. This interview is hilarious. An abandoned McDonalds......how poor is _that_ neighborhood.
Where I live we had one of those.
It shut down after about 5 years and as soon as it closed, it was stripped bare of everything, like McDonalds didn't want to leave any evidence behind.
It was like someone called Mr Kaplan to the scene.

He's talking about Chris Rock's new Netflix special. It's garbage.
He really does
Chris was so great on this show...he reallly brings it to an interview...
Takes over a room brings everybody joy and laughter. So gifted.
Love Skavlan. But most Americans don´t understand Skavlan, because it´s very different from typical American talk shows. No stupid, lame jokes. Skavlan really listens to his guests and doesn´t interrupt them. There is a very good reason why Skavlan is so liked and well known in Scandinavia...
Most of the talk shows worth listening to are not done by the mainstream tv stations. RUclipsrs do the talk show a hell of a lot better. It is the closest you will get to a real talk show because the main worry is to not get kicked off of youtube. Most everything else is on the table to talk about.... as long as you are not part of the political left. Then everything is offensive and must be censored. For instance Steve Shives had 1/5th of youtube muted.
You mean how he's just a polite decent human being?
Please this shit would’ve been boring if chris rock literally didn’t single handedly carry the show
@@guapo2381 Well you'll never know because no one else got the chance to really speak........
How do you know that most Americans don't "understand" a talk show? Most people in the world understand things that are not exactly what they're used to.

U can see the pain in Chris eyes when he said she gon take 30% of the sip he took😂 he going through it

@@The-Cat Yeah cause prenups dont get thrown out all the time
@@MGTOWUNIVERSE if your prenuptual says "everything I own before I met you belongs to me" then that's not unfair.
Uusally that's the sort of prenuptial that absolutely doesnt get thrown out because there's nothing unfair about it.
What Chris said is so on point. One of the reasons you have the descriptor of "white" was so people of European descent, no matter how poor, could still be classified as better than the "Black" people of the time.
Somebody show Chris his own special, "Bring the Pain." lmao Chris what happened? You had a whole 15min bit about pre-nup and you didn't get one???
It ain’t that easy - pre-nups can easily be rendered useless in court
Kanye West made a whole song abou... never-mind lol
He did but his prenup is out of date after almost 20 years of marriage
pre-nups need renewing every so often or else they dont stand a chance.
You can draft a quality prenup, however, it still needs to be reviewed every year or so. In his situation, his income likely increased significantly over time as well. And… he lives in California and is subject to California law.
Eddie griffin, Dave Champelle and Chris Rock 🙌🙌🙌
My fav chris interview ever. And he doesn't for a minute believe Prince's death was an accident.
Awesome interview!
Great talks
5:50 at 7:12 AM in the morning I felt pain xD
Btw seems like Ricky Gervais had a great time in the audience 🤣
Its good that he can see the humour in life despite the really horrible things he's had to go through. First time I've seen Patrick Schwarzenegger in a video - I mean you expect kids to resemble their parents but wow - way more than I anticipated - especially when he smiles.
This is the best interview I'd ever seen from him. Liked the references on censorship and fame. It takes European TV to bring out the honesty. This was like the BBC of comedy.
Look at the coverage of Count Dankula or Sargon of Akkad by the bbc... or better yet Tommy Robinson. The BBC is anything but honest.
The "best"? What's the worst? He looks stoned to death!
The BBC is definitely not truthful at all whatsoever not even a little bit never ever. Remember they're the ones that accidentally leaked building 7 information during the trade center scam.
@Glenn Krenz True. The BBC be lovin' white women. Oh, wait, you mean the news channel and not big black co.... ahem OK. Lol.

Would actually like to hear a serious discussion with Chris on his life without the humour and laughing as he clearly is an intelligent guy with a fascinating and uncomfortable background
Watch his Gail King interview.
Normally I couldn't stand Chris Rock all these years but since the last 10 he's grown on me. His best ever joke I remember (I'm sure there's better) was about bullets costing $1 million EACH! He's courageous and not afraid of any subject. I like that about him. He took off the comedy hat and became so REAL when he talked about Prince. Like he feels what we feel just bewilderment and pain thinking about him every day. What the f happened to our Prince? When Chris wondered why he was working instead of being a guest would Prince show up at a party and stay if he were not performing? Probably not. Anyway a great interview from Scandinavia.

$5,000 each.
DJ Blendz Mike Moreland oh ha ha you saw it too. Thanks for the correction. Yeah £5000 is still A LOT of money to pay for 1 bullet 😂. That's when you know it's on purpose.😉
B B I disliked him a lot. Now I like him. The interviewer is hilarious.
Lee Steal yes sometimes our dislikes are unreasonable can't put your finger on it but I love Chris' brutal honesty and his truths told through comedy. And that made me like him. Life can be rediculous sometimes and you've got to throw your head back and laugh at predicaments you find yourself in like 'how the f did i end up here?' That ability to laugh and accept certain ludicrous situations can save a life. Who knows how many Chris has saved. Sorry to go so heavy 😊
B B The expensive bullets-bit is older then ten years tbh
That one guy in the crowd is loving his job!

Props to the host who didn't take it personally when Chris Rock ignored his questions or talked over him. Some hosts would take it personally or made the whole interview tense/awkward. Still really hilarious, Chris Rock!!!

Why he's touring again? He got divorced which means new material, new laughs. Oh Boy! I cannot wait!
His new special Tambourine is horrible. He's even admitted it was a cash grab...
That Laughter in the back is making this EVEN more funny...😅😅😅
i like the Euro Talk show style in a circle with the guests like this
He is so wasted and he's still absolutely hilarious. Doesn't miss a beat.
Tom Camp I think that you’re wrong. Chris Rock certainly doesn’t look wasted to me. How you could think that based on this video interview is beyond me 🤷🏽♀️
They have to speak slowly. English is not the first language of the entire room. When you want to make the audience laugh, you have to make sure they understand what you are saying.

Best advice is don't put yourself in that situation to begin with. Then you don't have to take it.

Skavlan is probably the only show in continental Europe that consistently breaks through to reach English-as-first-language countries. The impression I get from many of the nations in western Europe, especially Scandinavian countries, is that the people often speak English better than many with English as their mother tongue.
Better than people who have it as their mother tongue is a bit of an exaggeration, but yes, Scandis are generally good in English.
That is a ludicrous assertion. I'm from the UK and have lived in Norway over a decade. I have never come across one Norwegian person within a million miles of my English skills; speaking, listening, writing, reading, knowledge of the many spoken English dialects around the world. The average Scandinavian has about 15% of the vocabulary or idiomatic expression or phrasal verbs compared with the average native English speaker. Most Scandinavians are decent at English as their countries/cultures are small and they are forced to borrow from the UK/US just as Belarus and Estonia would borrow from Russia. To try to insinuate that other cultures are superior at being English speaking natives is just utterly bizarre. I've never understood why some people like to do that. There must be an ulterior motive or a hatred of the targeted population, as logically it really does not make any sense at all.
COMMON SENSE, generally, I agree with you. But did you ever hang out with cockney speaking proles of south eastern england?
The whole time I was thinking that kid looks so much like a young Arnold, then Chris started talking about his dad and I finally realized, haha.
Watched ‘Bad Company’ again. Enjoyed it!

Elizabeth Mendez Why did Prince have to work?
I think that's who Prince was. Working was the only thing he cared about. The only other person I know who loved working that much was J Dilla.
Indeed he was hinting. He said "He had a new band, new bodyguard, he had New People around him and then 90 days later he's dead.
