I love how they interact with each other: Phoebe is the youthful spirited energy, while Connor’s just like “yeah” His reaction to Phoebe at 1:38 kills me every time though
Oberst, Bridgers, all the great songwriters in fact have a hard time not speaking in rhyme. They have to actively suppress the impulse. This is why Dylan is such a recluse.
I've never had a UTI, but Dr. Bronner's did make me think I got one once; the same way upping my Lexapro made me feel like I was going through menopause as a 34 year old male.
Never got into Radiohead because of the high expectation to instantly consider them the best band ever. (Pitchfork please don't take this personally I know they're collectively your favorite band and I know how you love to make long essays about them on a yearly basis on why they're so great but sorry it's just true.) That being said, I love Jonny Greenwood's film scores
Did I miss where they talked about Radiohead? They certainly were the best band in the world when they put out The Bends and OK Computer, but haven't had the longevity/consistency to be considered the best band ever.
@@markterrizzi5768 Roger Waters himself probably wouldn’t feel disrespected by that opinion, since people are allowed to have their taste and views and he’s a pretty reasonable guy, so maybe you should chill
Spot on assessment of Pink Floyd. Phoebe is super succinct in interviews and is prone to cutting right through the b.s. when talking about music. I think her brilliance is only just beginning to unfold.
I was gonna say how is Pink Floyd overrated but seeing how a lot of music related sites put Dark side of the moon as the "best album ever made in history" I kind of agree. Still, PF is amazing, but people really should stop overrating them so much.
Depression Cherry Pink Floyd might be overrated simply because SO many people have rated them. One way or another. It doesn’t mean they’re flat out bad or good.
@@Hygienist- They're overrated because SO many people have rated them positively. It doesn't have to do with the amount of reviews. And I'm not saying they shouldn't rate them positively, I mean they're one of my favorites, but DSOTM #1 album ever made?? No fn way lol
If you approach Pink Floyd as "dad rock but better", they're great. If you approach them as "the best rock band in the history of recorded music", there's a 99.99% chance you'll think they're overrated.
i think you said it without even noticing it. tdsotm is overrated in some way, but not pink floyd as a whole. their early projects - hell, even wywh, animals and the wall don't get too much recognition for the works of art they are
I don’t “Godify” Pink Floyd or any artist/band for that matter, but I feel it is safe to objectively recognize that Dark Side is not overrated. Subjectively, I can understand someone not liking it or connecting with it of course, but I can’t grasp anyone with a knowledge of music to say that it is an overrated album.
Ironically, Phoebe's music is like Pink Floyd. It's so touted and exalted by the fans/press/media that it's hard to hear it without thinking it's "supposed" to be cool. She's a great artist, but I fear the hype might be toxic. It certainly was to Floyd.
In this video: lesser artists are OVERSTIMULATED by a far greater band Pink Floyd. Overrated? 😂😂 for PHOEBE BRIDGER'S and CONOR Oberst's standards? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Conor Oberst and Phoebe Bridgers both have solo stuff, but Conor Oberst has a band called Bright Eyes too. If you ever feel down, their music always helped me so you should check them out. They’re amazing
Ha ha ha no way. Singing Conor songs on stage with your hands in the pockets of an uptight 'Gestapo' suit and now 'dismissing' pink floyd in a way that body language can't lie. Dude, where did you find this girl ever so wise beyond her years? Hhha ha well. Phoebe is the cold and calculated opposite of Conor on stage and off. In my opinion 💜
Pink Floyd overrated, huh? Phoebe I love you but, you couldn't be more wrong. If anything they're perfectly rated as one of the best musical acts to ever hit a stage, no question. All love from my end, though.
While I can see where you're coming from, I sort of agree with Phoebe. She says she was never able to listen to pink floyd without an overstimulation of information on it - which is true. There are so many people telling you what you should think about these great bands - which are great historically speaking - that it gets to a point where you don't even know what your own opinion of them is. (perhaps I agree with her simply because we're about the same age and I feel that our generation was never allowed to listen these great/iconic/historic bands/artists without being told how to feel about them, it kinda takes away some of the magic)
@@rrenatabp I just like Pink Floyd and think they did a lot for music culture as a whole. But hey, my ears, my mind, my opinion. I used to listen to bright eyes, desaparecidos and some commander Venus. Really enjoyed Conor’s stuff, but this PF comment has me thrown for a loop! How does a musician listen to GREATNESS and call it overrated?!
tim it's simple. you yourself really like pink floyd. they recognize that they're an important band, they even called them great, and yet they spoke about another element iconically and culturally that both muddies the waters a bit and indeed is relevant to the conversation regarding 'ratedness,' that is, the ability to live up to the level of magic or experience you're told collectively you 'ought' to have. i feel like you're doing the equivalent of a religious nut, which would be letting your already decided opinion cloud your ability to even empathize, visualize, or hear at all what the other party is stating, in very clear terms at that.
these people definitely fought about john lennon
HAHAHA I LOVE MOON SONG
until she cries and goes to bed upset
Phoebe's thought process during the daddy question:
"Dont look at Conor dont look at Conor dont look at Conor"

Lol in a concert I went to Conor seemed way more amped up, running around and Phoebe was more reserved. Love their dynamic
I am in deep and unconditional love with phoebe bridgers
I agree. Cute & smart is a pretty devastating combo.
same
I think they call that a parasocial relationship?
"overstimulation of pink floyd information" sounds like an awesome lyric though
I'm doing it. Will send royalties
Kevin Archanjo sing it to the tune of Dylan Thomas and it is!
Sounds like a Rush lyric.
Oberst, Bridgers, all the great songwriters in fact have a hard time not speaking in rhyme. They have to actively suppress the impulse. This is why Dylan is such a recluse.
I sang it like Foo Fighter's "Generator" somewhy
Phoebe Bridgers has one of the most contagious smiles ever
why is this so short???? i feel betrayed
I feel that phoebe was gonna say being called daddy is underrated lol idk
Absolutely
Such a great duo. Two of my favorite artists.
What a story Mark
I don't know these people, but they honestly seem so chill. I should take a page out of their playbook.
Yes sir you should. We all should.
Oh man i love hearing Conors first big comedy show experience

Watch that peppermint near the genitals 😳
And whyyyyy was this only 2 minutes?
I just started listening to them! Glad to see them here. 😁
I love his speaking voice. There's something happening to it as he gets older that's just - OMG!
Does it make you want to call him Daddy?
God I really want to marry Phoebe
Settle down, Ryan Adams.
This bands name sounds like a TES mod compiler
extremely true

Pink Floyd and the beatles> Led zeppelin

So is Conor, listen to any Bright Eyes song lol
Oh hi Mark
💀
They give me a reason to live and these days there's very few reasons.
By your child or? 😂
Honestly, i see a lot of David Gilmour in Phoebe...
Lol
If you could ask them an over/under what would it be? I choose Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness album

AYYYYHYYE phoebe must be protected at all costs.
