I've seen Connor perform live twice and to be honest I think he just hates the stage. He thrived in the early 200o's shrouded by the cloak of CD's and small midwest house shows, but as he got bigger, big groups just stresses him out I think. He also never ever talks to his audience...like he's almost scared of us. Still one of the all time best lyricists to ever exist tho! WE love you Connor.
First time in a while in DC and Baltimore like a year + ago he seemed pretty happy. Talked a bit. Jumped off the stage and sang to a bunch of people in the front.. I’ve only ever been close to him a couple times before they went on.. and I didn’t even try to talk to him because I can tell he waits in the bus until right when he’s going on stage then walks in there real quick. If there’s any kinda show I think he dislikes the most these days it’s festivals or outdoor shows.
In the 2nd song “Too Late To Fixate” he sings “And I love her torn stockings And her lipstick of red Is it too late to fixate On her instead” Those lyrics seem to go well with his red lipstick!!
Had to have been around 2016 or so, maybeee 2017. I say this because I love the band that's backing Conor up, The Felice Brothers, and their lineup changed a lot in 2016 or so, both their bass player and fiddle player left the band to pursue their own things.
@14:15 I feel like this song also makes sense..Neil Young cov ering Phil Ochs, "changes". Conor is a better lyricist, but this song is on par: ruclips.net/video/c9gyHnWegb4/видео.html
In the second song, “Too Late To Fixate” he sings the lyrics “And I love her torn stockings And her lipstick of red Is it too late to fixate On her instead” I thought they went well with his lipstick??
so, when was this originally filmed? and, why all the amplification in a cave? is that necessary? and, aren't they afraid that the rocks will come down b/c of all the reverberations?
Poison Oak always breaks me down in the most beautiful way. Lived it; i wouldn't wish it on anyone.
Hallelujah to have this entire performance in one upload. Thanks!

Those lyrics seem to go well with his red lipstick!!
I was wondering if he put it on too heavy this particular night. Ha!
@@gustercc the way it's put on seems like it was not and he was just kissing some mad lips right before the presentation
Omg thank you
Lotta gold prospectors in that audience..
Lotta good people as well!
Wisdom is better than gold, true prospectors
God this rivals the band
phoebe cameo ❤
At least we know where the lipstick came from 👄 😂
I live crazy close to this to have had zero idea I could have gotten tickets.
For real, I would have as well. Saw them back in 2010 at the Ryman, it was spectacular and moving.
Damn! Go James!!!
“put that on pbs!”
❤
I fkn luv you ❤
This would have been awesome!
Ladies and gentlemen this is what being drunk and high on coke looks like but that’s why Conor is god perfect performance!
When was this ??

Can someone please explain the lipstick?
He's drinking fruit punch?
makes him feel pretty?
In the second song, “Too Late To Fixate” he sings the lyrics
“And I love her torn stockings
And her lipstick of red
Is it too late to fixate
On her instead”
I thought they went well with his lipstick??
@@mrwednesdaythursday yeah you nailed it. Hope he left the stockings at home. 💅

By far the audience most unfamiliar with his work I've ever seen. Did they win these tickets in a sweepstakes and get bussed in?
Not the crowd I’d choose to sing about burning Bibles in front of 🔥 📕 😂💪 Connor is the man!
@@TheKrickReporthoney that man is wearing lipstick 😮😭🤣
@@TheCheesecakedeath only because he was making out w the hottie in the front row!
I can swear that I heard some laughter in the audience when Conor said this next song is about my gay cousin that committed suicide when he was 23
Lipstick?
I think the violinist at the beginning is pretty heavy handed & not listening too well.
Hard to tell what this audience is feeling...nothing or everything? Overall they look confused and disappointed...exactly what conor likes 🙂
Was this before he was diagnosed with brain cancer?
He never had brain cancer lmao He had an blood clot in his brain
@@coolchickenboys I thought what I heard was that it was a cyst ?
@@mygreenenvyin his song “counting sheep” he mentions a cyst on the brain. I also thought it was a cyst

March 25, 2017, according to google
Because it’s a cool venue and no, they’re not worried about the rocks falling down
I hate seeing him in this condition
well he did show up didn't he
