- I had the opportunity to take an Audi S3 out for a spin and I'm glad I did. So fun to drive and a lot of smiles to be had.
Driving a Golf R would be fun to see how the car feels compared to it's Audi S3 cousin.

Great vid. I just got one this weekend, and this is probably the best review I've seen on them so far. It's a great car. I actually planned on getting an S4, but decided to take both out for a spin, and was blown away by the S3. It's amazing what they've done with that 4 cylinder engine.
Great review though. I'll keep an eye out for others.

Good review mate. Mum has a 2014 S3 sedan and it's a awesome car. Such a fun car. I've driven a RS3 hatch as well and that thing was great. Rob from New Zealand.

Hey! I've got a 2015 S3 and you drove right by where I work in Williston! Haha sweet video...by the way the engine temp is on the lap timer screen. Mines a Prestige but with the 18" rims and it rides better than the stiffer 19" cars with mag ride.

Funny, I've only ever spotted one blue S3 in williston/burlington area, must be this one. I drive mine in S/dynamic all the time lol.

why do american Audis have the compass bearing in the mirror, looks distracting. We dont get that in Australia
+Gonzarelli if I had to guess (big guess) Americans tend to like "extra features" and a compass in the mirror checks that box. Necessary? Nope.

Does the sound of the exhaust not bother you inside the car? I find the cabin noise to be really loud. I cant imagine how the back is since I havent road in the back.
+Kasia I didn't find it to be loud. I found harshness with the super low profile tires on the 19" rims to be more of an annoyance. I had the chance to ride in an s3 with 18" rims and it was surprisingly more comfortable.
Hmm, for me its hard to get use to the loud exhaust when accelerating every time. I wish the cabin was a little quieter when it comes to that.

This S3 is not that big of a leap from the A3 2.0T.
basically the same as jumping from a VW GTI to a Golf R. about 70ish more HP and 20ish ft/lb of torque.
of course brakes, suspension, etc is more performance oriented in the S3 =)
Non 's' has the water temp meter instead of a boost meter.
Neither are worth much since the boost meter just indicates when there is boost, not how much, and the temp gauges will indicate 190 (even if its 20 degrees to either side) unless there is something catastrophically wrong with the car. Aftermarket boost and temp gauges are the recommendation if you really want information, since stock gauges don't give "real" numbers.
