The press release on the Wizarding World website confirms a career mode for the game. You can play it solo or co-op.
I think it’s likely that the “Nordic” quidditch pitch is actually the Durmstrang quidditch pitch because we also have the Beauxbatons one. Also if you pay careful attention to the books during the Yule ball it describes that it’s winter a lot of the time but during the summer they fly all over the fields and also the second shot you pointed out has the dark with the fire which is reminiscent of the Durmstrangs introduction in the movie.
Hope you can create a player and go from school quidditch player to professional player. Sign for different clubs, get signed to a national teams. A proper career mode would be quality
The Wizarding World website says there's a career mode, so here's hoping what you said is indeed the case!
I hope this Quidditich game has a single player campaign. I'm not expecting a grand story, just little cutscenes and objectives to help motivate us to play.
In their faq it says that there is a single player mode that you can play.

During the play test as a chaser you were able to do loops and spins, in fact it was one of my preferred plays to do it was extremely hard for people to hit me while I was doing these weird spins and loops. So if nothing has changed from the last play test then yes it should still have that mechanic.
Play test was pretty fun.
The burrow will probably be the “queerditch” from the old game. I’m sure they can’t reuse that name lol

I'm looking forward to the Alternative modes possibly including turning on/off certain team roles or certain rules. I always found the Seeker role/ Golden Snitch to be sort of an odd ball rule that the game is just instantly over whenever the snitch is caught and that team gets +150 points. I would love it where the game is played with a set time limit (say 15 minutes) and instead of ending the game once the Snitch is caught, the two Seekers then can flex into one of the other positions so you could have two keepers for the 3 goal posts, or you could have 4 chasers or 3 Beaters. The strategy in this alone would make games much more interesting, especially if its a hidden reveal for both teams so you don't know what the other team is flexing their Seeker as until you've already locked in your choice as well.
Sold. You win, you've sold me. If it's solo and I can enjoy the game without multiplayer, you win. I like how you drew comparisons to the old school Quidditch World Cup game. I've always wanted a Quidditch game like we seem to be getting. Few pointers.
1. The British taught Quidditch to the Japanese school. If we don't get Mahoutokoro, we riot.

3. Again... awesome. I have high hopes for this game.
That is so exciting to see. I feel like we were robbed of seeing all the awesome quidditch matches in the movies, and especially the Quidditch World Cup final game in GoF, so this is great.

The wand thing is interesting for a quiditch game. I'm wondering why we would have a wand if we're just playing on brooms.
My question is, why is there a wand skin? Is that hinting that there's going to be things to do outside of the matches, that requires a wand?
World Cup was one of my favorite Game Cube titles I owned. I hope the play style of this is similar, but improved upon.

I played the old school Quidditch World Cup on GameCube religiously. What I remember from that is that there were the Hogwarts teams obviously and then also Queerditch Marsh was available to unlock after winning enough matches. As for the World Cup teams I remember Australia, Japan, U.S.A., The Nordic Team, Bulgaria, France, and Germany being available to take all the way to the championship. Also, I loved that they had Ludo Bagman and a corespondent from each arena alongside as announcers for the World Cup. Each team also has special moves you’d be able to activate as you score more with whatever team you chose, that’s most likely what Ginny was doing when she dodged the Slytherin player. This game is going to bring back so many memories and also lots of terrible hand aches! I got very into playing as a kid 🤣 Your videos are great keep them coming. Can’t wait to get my hands on this. I think you have to keep in mind the focus here is to create a very accessible popular mulitplayer game, or i think thats their vision atleast. similar to valorant overwatch etc. the cartoon graphics are definitely easier for most systems to handle.
It's definitely a different art style, but I don't really understand the mobile game thoughts. It's releasing on every platform except mobile 😅

The "Beabaxton" pitch could also be Team France. Looks similar to the French stadium in Quidditch World Cup.

I think the story mode is gonna be the Harry Potter team, start off as Harry Potter being a seeker, then Harry gets banned and u play as Ginny , Ginny then become chaser u play as chaser, then play as Ron as keeper too, or maybe it will just follow Ginny thru to being a pro player. Having the gnomes as a mini game or practice at the burrow for throwing is a good call tho!
I wonder if that one is a special move with the one that is speculated to be the Nordic team. (Ironically, that was my favorite team as a kid! The browns and the stadium were my favorites) I really hope they included team special moves! I loved those a lot. God, I miss that game so much! 😭😭

The best game you can make in the Harry Potter universe is "Hogwarts Family." It consists of creating a character like Harry Potter who does not know that this magical world or school exists. And your goal is to complete all seven years of school. You are doing homework, going to classes, trying to get on your house's quidditch team that selects the sorting hat for you. I know a lot of people will probably want to play Seeker or Chaser, but I already see myself playing as a Beater.
I was not interested in this game when I first heard about it but this trailer does look nice! May try it in September :). Also, that HL tie in is so unexpected! Brilliant! And yes, that broom is in HL lol, it was my first broom. I liked the lantern :). Doesn't seem like the best broom for quidditch though , the yew weaver or something looks more appropriate. Anyhow, great breakdown!

Kinda confused timeline wise, it’s not a big deal cause this isn’t a story focused game at all. But it’s odd they chose year 3 for the Burrow stuff, considering he never goes to the Burrow during Prisoner cause of the whole Sirius Black on the loose thing, it’s odd they didn’t wrap this around Goblet of Fire considering there’s a chapter in that book where Harry literally trains on used broomsticks with the Weasley brothers at The Burrow if I remember correctly. Or it happens in one of the *other* books. Either way, doesn’t matter I just find it funny seeing them based on the actors designs from the third film, and the fact that Harry still has his Nimbus means this is definitely Prisoner of Azkaban timeline wise, and that’s just confusing haha.

I have already played the beta, it's not too bad.
A couple notes, they have a Hogwarts Legacy pack which adds a Sebastian Sallow skin and some other fun additions. However, I am not sure if I will buy this game as I am not a sports gamer and this feels like a sports game more than a Harry Potter game. I play games for stories mostly so I will have to see if the solo involves a story or just a series of matches before I buy it.
Honestly a career mode similar to how 2k sports does there games would be awesome!

@SmileyTrenton lol it's so it can run on more systems. Plus stylized looks always look better for longer. Any time a game is made realistic it looks great at first, but because tech is always evolving. Thry become outdated very quickly. At least with an art style there is a better chance that IF the game is played for many years the graphics won't be a concern because it's stylized.
I have played the closed beta, and it had a store selling mct, we just could not buy at the beta

That's a Sunday this year, so I doubt it. I definitely think we'll see another version though with some special content.
The fact that they are all in their Prisoner's of Azkaban outfits is probably going to be foreshadowing of some sort.
I was lucky enough to be in the playtest for this game. While I wish I could talk in detail all I can say is it was very fun and a lot of the things you thought may be hints at things in game could just be.

The beta had something that looked and felt like a season/game pass so i wpuld expect the full release to also have it.

Great breakdown (as always). I like to play solo modes, so hoping they'll have a "my career" like NBA2k or Madden does. Nothing fancy or as in depth as those game modes but doing some seasons until you retire would be fun. Imagine getting traded to another team!

I'd love a league mode. Create a character and improve them with exp earned playing. New brooms. Looks like it should be good. Hopefully, we will see a good gameplay trailer soon.

@@Threeballmonte I'm concerned about the longevity of the game. I don't think it's gonna last long and I didn't get a chance to try it out so I have no idea how it plays. Also, the art style gives me mobile game vibes so I still think they'll be micro transactions
@@DeadlyBeast205 well, let’s put it this way (without making me break the NDA LOL) Rocket League still thrives, (should be a little hint) granted it’s f2p with micro transactions. The price tag on this one, based on what i’ve experienced is honestly very fair. I do believe EVENTUALLY it will be f2p with micro transactions/season passes etc.
I wonder if they will have the voice actors come to reprise their roles in this game or get similar actors who can sound like them I doubt they will but it would be cool to hear the crew together again

I would love to see a remastered versions of the old Harry Potter games for the newer consoles. Just kinda annoying you have to go back to play them on the old school consoles
You that only stage look u can pick if u played beta u know. Movement was weird , well in beta most of mechanic was buged, game was hard for noob player. Solo will be you with bots and other players with bots , and players vs players, And ofc skins of characters form hp series, i don't think we will get anything outside quidditch . Let's say 30$ is fine price. (thoughts from the beta)

im curious to see how this game will work on the gameplay deppartment, because i dont see quidditch working as a competitive game. A narrative game? Sure. But competitive? No, i dont think so. So im interested to see if they change the quidditch rules to make this game like a "real" sport or not
Yes there are big noticable differences from book/movies and this game to make it a more competitive game vs narrative game. That being said, idk how the career mode is going to be.
Not gonna lie, them making this game have no micro transactions and be a one time purchase either tells me they have no hope for this game doing well or it makes me way more interested in it.

I'm not a huge fan of the graphics. I'm excited no matter what! I love Quidditch so much! I miss HP & TQWC. The asking price is $30, not bad at all! I hope it's similar to the one back from the early 2000s. I will be happy if they count all the teams that they had as well and maybe add in more! I can't wait until it's released!!!
