The 1380 is just a touch cleaner in the highest frequencies and appears to be a tiny bit more robust in the lower/mid area. But these speakers nearly sound the same.
@@MonesahBuson Audio is a personal experience, no ears are the same. So I cannot do recommandations. Go with your gut feeling, what sound really makes you happy? And second: does it fit your budget and the intended use? I dare to recommand the Edifier brand though, they make absolutely great sounding speakers for all budgets. I listen to Edifiers every day and couldn't be more happy with them. Cheers!
Thanks, great comparison. The difference is huge. With the 1700 you can distinguish the frequencies therefore the music in whole. More clarity, better mid tones and highs. The 1380 seems confused.
138 db has accuracy and responsiveness, while 1700bt has better sound stage and "meaty" mids and a bit more clarity on it..though Im buying the 1380 for its ports/bluetooth/android compatibilities..

hard to judgement. 1700bt like a v-shape sound, high and low range is good but mid is a bit step back. 1380db overall is good, high and low not much higher than mid range, easier to listen.
Thing I'd like to point out to anyone buying these. 1. The 1380t is cheaper if you don't mind having no Bluetooth, exact same speakers and all as the 1380DB. 2. The 1700BT uses a proprietary cable that if it breaks costs 25 ish dollars. While the 1380T and 1380DB just use some speaker wire to connect the 2 speakers
Great video! I need some help from someone kind enough and familiar with sound and speakers (cause i dont know much and my headphones are poor for understanding much differences). I want some speakers for movies , music (hip-hop and rock mostly) and some gaming. I wanna place them around 3 meters away. what would you suggest me among edifier MR4, r1700bt and r1380bd? Thank you in advance!
The MR4s are studio monitors so they sound "flatter" than the 1700 & 1380 Considering both 1700 and 1380 sound nearly the same, you should go with the cheapest out of the two. If that doesn't move you then you can try finding stores around you and take a listen to them personally if you can. Also, have you decided since its been 7 months lol
It would be possible to compare Edifier R1380DB vs Magnat Monitor Reference 2A?. Perhaps any comparison of magnat monitor reference 2a. Thank you for your great job.
Beware!!! I have the JBL 104 bt the build quality sucks broke down on me after 4 months of light use, and they replaced it with a brand new one, and the same again broke down on me again after 4 months of light use
Eso de ATPX quiere decir que el audio del Bluetooth se escucharía más nítido que en los "1280 Dbs" por qué esos tienen Bluetooth Pero no ATPX.. Aún no entiendo bien la diferencia.
@@MonesahBuson But in terms of sound quality, the R1380db is more neutral and just a tad cleaner in high frequencies. Especially on the low end. The R1700BT has a boomy sound.

I hear that too from my phone speaker
Отличный тест! Обе модели очень хорошо! 1380DB чуть лучше по верхам. Браво Edifier! )))
Почему тогда на графике АЧХ у них такой провал после 8кГц?
Зато "Бум-бум" не делают! Низких частот будто и нет...
Мелкие звуки нормально подсвечивает, гармоники.
Wondering if the music is send through air or with cable?
The 1380 sounds way smoother in the highs against the razor sharp 1700.

1700btS have sub out and support Aptx-HD, you might want to look at those

Same here, it depends on if you ever intend to get a proper sub for the speakers, if not why not save some space and get 1380?

1380 is newer with better bluetooth so its better than the 1700
So which is better? Dont care about the BT. 4.0 vs 5.0 just want a good speaker. For gaming and netflix.
If you can't decide based on sound quality then just buy the 1380db, it support qualcomm aptx, and offers more input option

1380 a little more smooth in mid-low range
Who created the music ‘deep’? It feels so nostalgic to me for some reason, but I used Shazam and couldn’t find the song anywhere.
Because of RUclips copyright issues reviewers have to use generic non-copyright music.
To note, Edifier have R1700BT"s"with sub-out and Apt-X HD support
Yeah but the BT"s" do have much worse reviews than the BT
The 1380DB also support the aptX codec.

The timestamps seem to be wrong, just a heads up.
