Congratulations with your bag. I got mine in camel 4 months ago and agree to most of what you mention. The bag is very classy and the quality is pristine. The fact that it is all leather makes it heavy and it sometimes hurt my neck, as the relatively thin strap tends to cut into my skin. Also the clasps are sharp as you mentioned. I think the strap has two settings/lengths, one as you showed and one short, and it is a little annoying to adjust. It is very short on my body as crossbody, so I usually use it on the shoulder.
Anyway it is a stunning bag and I love it despite the cons. When I bought it they told me it would be discontinued in 2023 which seems likely as I do not see them on display in the stores anymore.

Hello, you can put a twilly to stop it from sliding. I did that to mine.
And also I use only one of the strap squares to adjust it to my preferred length.

Awesome video. Is it possible to carry the bag without latching it? Don’t way to fuss with the closure. And are the two little front pockets wide enough to fit sunglasses? Not sure if they’re only wide enough for a lipstick?

The front pockets are perfect for lipsticks, but not sunglasses. I haven’t tried wearing it unlatched but wouldn’t recommend as the straps won’t be secured and will move, eventually slipping off the bag.

So what I find with my bag is - holes 1 and 2 (starting from the end tip) line up, and then holes 3 and 4 line up. Holes 2 and 3 do not line up (which, sucks for me, is my fav length).
Oh no! Yes that is frustrating. I wonder if you could remove the strap and purchase another one to wear in its place that provides the perfect length for you.
